"My name is Axel, got it memorized?" he asked, pointing at his temple with his right index finger. He was rather irritated with the fact that Deil didn't remember his name yet he remembered his. Of course that was because Axel had in fact created a shinobi information card on him, Misuki, and Havik during the chuunin exams. His sole job in Kirigakure was to travel from village to village and infiltrate them. This wasn't too hard of a task for him, since he was able to hide his chakra completely as if he wasn't really there. And his ability to sense chakra signatures gave him not only a heads up of when other shinobis were approaching, but their chakra levels and wether or not they were demon hosts. This made him an excellent spy, one that was used by Zane to discover the locations of the jinchurukis. "You should have a file of me somewhere in your desk," he retorted, not bothering to tell him wether he passed or not. Why should he answer his ridiculous questions when the Kage had all the answers right in front of him, he only needed to look. Axel folded his arms back across his chest defiantly and waited for Deil's response.

{OOC: Just to let you know, I`m pretty sure Axel wore a big cloak that hid his features during the exam. That`s why Deil doesn`t remember him.}
[In the present]
Axel`s attitude was one Deil had been expecting from many of Kiri's people, but the fact he had anticipated it made it no less frustrating. Thankfully Deil had enough self control to keep himself from turning this into an arguement. His eyes gave Axel a look of solemn determination, but his face remained quite neutral."I`m sorry, but I only just got in last night. I haven`t had time to go over any files or the locations of training scrolls. He pointed toward the Mizukage hat on the edge of his desk with one of his own index fingers. I was given that and a hug goodbye before traveling almost a full day to get here, so please excuse my shortfalls while I get situated. He then gave Sosay a small smile and his eyes softened. He reached into the same drawer that he had gottena scroll from before, and retrieved another small one. Well, one of my goals is to change that. Would you be willing to help, Miss...? Since he hadn`t been told her name, he decided to let Sosay finish his sentence.

[In the present]
The frustration of both ninja before Deil was easy to see. Deil had a feeling though that it was just that they had planned for this to be a short visit, not an official meeting. He placed the scroll back into the drawer and slid it shut with his foot. "Well, since you guys look like you need to get somewhere and I have some catching up to do, why don`t you just come back tomorrow with some friends so I can start giving out missions and training those that need it." He opened up the scroll he had been writing to Misuki and grabbed his brush, then started writing on it once more. "Thanks for coming in."

Deil nodded in agreement, and the sterness in his semi-deep voice reflected his sentiments. "It's quite true that leaders who control their followers with fear are a disgrace, but there are some cases where a healthy fear of something is actually beneficial. Therefore, you can probably guess that there might be a reason why kage allow their villages to fear most hosts." A knowing smile appeared on Deil's face as he leaned a little closer toward Synn, and a light in the room caught in his eye. "We don't allow villagers to remain afraid because it enhances the control the kage have over the villagers, or because we feel resentment toward the hosts." His voice lowered until it almost became a whisper. "We do it to protect the village and the host.

Think about it: inexperienced hosts are unstable and a potential problem to the Akatsuki. If all the hosts were to be trained to their full potential and attacked the Akatsuki, the organization would crumble under the combined might of the junchuuriki. However, inexperienced hosts aren't able to defend themselves well and are almost guaranteed to be captured by the Akatsuki should they come hunting. Plus it has been proven through history that battles with hosts inside villages lead to a lot of collateral damage. So, how do we keep the word from getting out about a host? We kage allow the villagers to fear the hosts so that they will be uncomfortable discussing them and interacting with them. The less they are talked with and about, the less info gets out and it takes longer to spread when it does. In effect we allow them to be afraid because it hides your presence in the village long enough for you to get some training and experience under your belt before they come looking, and thus protects the village from an attack by the Akatsuki.

All that loneliness and anger is a high price for the host to pay, but it's the only strategy that really works that still allows them to live as normal a life as possible until they become strong enough to stand their ground. Once they do, the villagers usually learn to respect the hosts and lose their fear of those hosts. So their fear of you won't last forever Synn, but I can't allow you to go around telling everyone you're a host. Word will spread on its own, believe me, and I'll make sure whatever squad you're in will be able to defend you and defend themselves from you should anything go wrong. But I need you to bare this extra burden until the proper moment Synn." As far as Deil knew, Synn would be the first host to know this theory. He waited to see what her reaction would be, and he was quite eager to know. Could she handle to truth?

"Why don't we get something to eat..." Axel said as he suddenly found himself outside. "Maybe go to the ramen shop?" he asked wondering what it was that was so important that Sosay dragged him out of it with such a hurry. "I don't feel like heading to the dojo right now, not yet anyways."
