Hmm....now that I think about it....that's not too different from how I intend to do things.
After all, since I'm a Gourmet Gourmand(Loves good food and will eat almost anything), that's obviously the best path to take.

Hanzo Komeiji True, which means I need to get to a place with loads of easily-slain demons/youkai and bump off about 1000 or so. After all, there's an old legend in japan that goes along the lines of "He who slays 1000 Youkai will himself become a Youkai". Hmm.......but that's gonna be tricky, since my combat abilities are mediocre at best. ....I could always find a Muramasa-Crafted Sword, that could help.....if they exsist. ...Better learn a little Onmyoji too, never know when it might come in handy. Becoming a Yokai is so much easier when your a girl, then all you have to do die alone in the snow or try to starve your self so your husband can eat to become a X-onna (In this case Yuki-Onna and futakuchi-onna). As far as weapons go, knowledge, as with any conflict, is the most deadly in your arsenal. Know your enemies weaknesses and immunities, than bring the right weapon for the job. For example faries as far as I rember have no special immunities or weaknesses, but they are fast elusive buggers which would make a gun or heavy weapon almost useless. So bring a tennis racket, granting a better chance to hit the weak thing, than break the rest of her bones with the rim. On the other hand, I remember Oni as being described as having skin as hard as steel and and amazing rejenative properties. Knowing this, you know not to engage them in combat. With that said, I heard objects become Yokai after 100 years, so grab a bat and go to your nearest museum. Both Muramasa and Masamune are great swordsmiths, though with Masamune your sword would be a slim hot sci fi woman with huge knockers ^ ^ (as in Masamune Shirow's creations) Going to become an Onmyo-mysitic like the great Abe-no-Seimei? Hmm, hey Ran, you wouldn't happen to have a famous son now would you...?

And once everyone's Youkai hunting expeditions go south and they're mercilessly slaughtered by the legions of more powerful creatures, I'll be there to turn a profit by selling your gear to the next adventurers to come through.

That is true, the chicks have it easy. The only downside to being a Yuki-Onna is the same problem Letty has, only exsisting during winter.
But there's one thing that causes Oni immense pain, Fried Beans. So just pelt the hapless Oni with a bunch of 'em until the Oni keels over in pain and just amble on over and snap it's neck. Simple enough. Meh, I'm not willing to destroy something that won't fight back. That's Just My Style.
Heh, yeah. xD Maybe I'd be better off getting another sword.
I'm glad someone got the reference. xD

One thing you should be careful of is what instant messengers you use. Some of them can put your internet connection and all other computers on your network at risk and allowing a hacker to view all your internet activity, every website that you visit and everything that you type in, even your important passwords! Yahoo Messenger is one of worst. So be careful which friends you chat with! You can be creating a direct link for hackers to access all of your connected computers. Also Be careful of torrents and where you get your downloads.I know this is old news that you've all heard before, however, like a cold, AIDS, the flu, chicken pox, MRSA, war, bad drivers, fatty foods, mean poeple, crashing computers, homelessness, and forest fires; IT IS VERY REAL! so at the very least: get an anti-virus/spyware scanner.

Actually somewhat on topic, but I don't really think it matters whether or not you leave yourself open. I'm a fairly internet savvy guy, and I've never been duped into a scam site or anything in my six year history on this site, but yet this account itself has been hacked in the past. I have no idea how it could have happened, but one day I was just unable to log in, and I noticed that my avatar had been changed.
You don't necessarily have to put yourself at risk in order to be hacked. It apparently can be done without even the slightest hint that you're at risk. However, I got the account recovered, obviously, and even got the 200k I had saved restored that the a*****e blew on RIGs.

Choukyuu Bushin Hakazan You don't necessarily have to put yourself at risk in order to be hacked. It apparently can be done without even the slightest hint that you're at risk. Indeed. A hacker can just hack into the Gaia Online game servers, take a look at the data base, and check the currently assigned password to your account. Hell, they don't even need to check your password if they can access the data base charts; they can see which items you have equipped and just change the account who owns them. Thus, the most important rule here is to not let people know how much money and items you have. You're probably going to be a target anyways if you have a Devil's Tail, or three Anima Adamanteas, like Choukyuu has.

Wotan Manasal Indeed. A hacker can just hack into the Gaia Online game servers, take a look at the data base, and check the currently assigned password to your account. Hell, they don't even need to check your password if they can access the data base charts; they can see which items you have equipped and just change the account who owns them. Not as easy as you make it sound, I assure you. Particularly because most passwords in most databases are never stored in plaintext, but are actually encrypted. And every security expert will tell you this: Encryption, regardless of strength, always complicates things for possible information thieves. Data base charts... lol. They can't just change the contents of the tables like magic. Reality is nothing like the movies: Every move, every action that takes place in a database can be logged. And, of course, every access too. Most sites in the world are continuously increasing their security, but directly accessing and changing the database is a nigh-impossible task. There're just one too many entry barriers for this to happen. And every self-respecting "black hat" knows that if you really want to break the system, there are more efficient ways to do it. There are a couple of efficient ways in which your account can be compromised: a) Spyware. b) Virus. c) Social Engineering. d) Brute force attacks. Spyware and Virus are not that used in Gaia, but they do exist. What they do is either install keyloggers or cookie readers, which the hacker can use to easily obtain your password. Social Engineering is the oh-so-famous Scams. Those pages that mention Gaia Online betas in addresses that look barely similar to GaiaOnline.com? Scams. Most people fall for this, because people are gullible. This is the best tool that hackers have at their disposal, and the most efficient. Brute force attacks can often work, particularly if your password isn't strong. Strictly numeric or alfabetic passwords are weak, and so are passwords of 6 characters or less. You can tell your account is being brute-forced because Gaia sends you emails telling you your login has been blocked after too many login retries. If your password is weak, it can take them about 10-20 tries (About 5 hours, according to my estimates), using whatever public information they can find. If your password is strong, it would take them 5 million years (Yes, I really did do an analysis on password security concerning Gaia and other forums). These 4 methods are the ones that produce the most stolen ("hacked") accounts. Chances are, if you were "hacked", you might have fallen victim to one or more of them.
