Farellen grabbed Salin "let's hurry" he said, trying to pull Salin with him as he walked fast towards their barracks. Upon reaching there, he combed through his hair, then changed swiftly, making sure that he carefully folded the stained clothes neatly, before checking that the ones he wore were straight and neat.

So, he definitely liked to touch people. Salin figured that was pretty much confirmed now. Unless, he thought in private joke, he was double and triple checking to make sure none of Salin's skin tone was just rubbed on dye.
He filed that away for thought, though it could just as well have been the casual nature of the boy. Some people just liked to touch.
He changed his clothing with a crisp haste, brushing out wrinkles, and pulled the wet scarf out of his hair, (it had already become saturated from the braids), and changed it for one of deep purple, one of his favorites, and it wouldn't look worse the wear for a soaking... and he was pretty sure he'd gotten it to the point where prolonged contact with wet hair didn't leave him with purple marks on his braids.
...pretty sure.
He didn't check for straightness quite as deliberately as Farellen, more interested in being dry and dressed as he used the scarf to fold his wet hair up into a knot that lifted it off the nape of his neck to keep his shirt dry, and synched it firmly.
"Hopefully we're not too late." He added. "I should have been keeping a better track of the time." He added in self chastisement.

Farellen met up with Salin back in the corridor, "hey that purple suits you" he said, wincing as his shirt moved against the burn again, "it's not your fault Salin, just blame me, i'm used to it" he said swiftly trying to prevent his new friend from putting a downer on himself, "shall we run?" he asked grinning.

"Thanks. It's one of my favorite colors." He admitted, grinning. "It's not an easy die to make though, I learned a bit about it from some of the crafters that have come through. ... And the first few times it got wet it turned my hair purple." He added. "Sure. I mean we might still get in trouble but at least we'll be in shape."
