Adam walked over the group and said, "Hey guys, I'm kinda hungry, so why don't we just go into the ballroom and eat?" Gwen came up behind him and motioned her hand to the ballroom.

Lee put the receiver to his ear. "There's no dial tone... Don't tell me the line's been disconnected?"
He was already beginning to panic.

Alyssa entered the beautiful mansion that had been her home for over two years now. She had just gotten home after being on vacation in the Florida Keys with her best friend Kara. Alyssa found the front room empty as she entered the building. Where is everyone? Probably in the ballroom already. She turned and headed off to the ballroom in search of the guests. "Hi everyone! Sorry I'm late my flight got in a bit off-schedule." Alyssa said cheerfully. Then she saw the worried expressions on everyone's faces and Lee by the phone., "Is something wrong? What'd I miss?" Alyssa asked worriedly, biting her lip.

((Since Alyssa lives here I'm going to assume she knows everyone okay?))

"Hmm... As far as I know he was supposed to be here when the guests arrived. We spoke earlier this morning and he had no intentions of leaving at all... It's very odd that he's not here... As I'm sure Aura has told you, he is never late, ever. Something must not be right..." Alyssa said troubled. "Oh and please just call me Alyssa." She added with a small smile. Alyssa drummed her fingers along the smooth mahogany table, something she often did when worried.

"It's great to see you too Aura!" Alyssa said happily, hugging her.

Aura glanced at the clock again and cringed.

Not long later, she was out of the ballroom, and soon standing agape at the grounds of the Gilfax estate though the still-open doors. The large hedge that encircled the majority of the grounds had covered the gates, preventing anyone from entering or exiting. To no one in particular, she said ghastly, "Someone doesn't want us to leave."

((I'm guessing any new additions to the rp will just have to assume they're already there -.-

Basically its establishing the concept of them being trapped.))

Aura stared at the blown-up car and then at its owner before cursing almost audibly. "I'll be right back." She hurried upstairs and returned within five minutes, her beloved dress tucked safely away and her usual clothes comfortably on her.

The lights flickered and she cursed mentally before racing down stairs and through a side door. "Does someone have a light?" she called, sounds of banging and crashing coming from the dark room.

Aura lit a match deftly before handing the remainder of them back to Lee. "Checking something."

She had opened a side panel on the wall of the mansion and was peering at a myriad of wires and computer chips. "Got it," she announced and hit a few buttons, restarting the electricity. As she saw the lights inside the house light up, she stood back from the panel and recovered it.

She re-entered the house and closed the door securely. "Mrs. Gilfax told me once that the electric and water systems come directly from the city, so unless the city has a power or water shortage, we should be fine.

Aura glanced around the room and at the big clock, though there was no longer a need to do so since she had her watch on. Strange, how fast things can change. Less than an hour ago I was dreaming about talking with Elisa about whatever we pleased and dancing with Elias. Now I can only hope they are safe.

"Gwen," she said softly, snapping out of her thoughts. "I'm willing to bet that the cars in the garage don't work and the power tools are dead or missing."

Aura cast a side glance at Lee cautiously. "Or they've been blown up as well," she added so only Gwen could hear.
