Cael smiled and nodded, sparing a moment from his looking around for danger to be polite and look at her as he answered. "Yes I'm sure we will get another adventure sometime soon." Giving her a smile before his eyes resumed their searching. Moving closer and giving her a gentle bump, still trying to reassure her, his blush lost in the general pinkness of him from her lick to his cheek, letting the sisters talk before he says anything again. "My friend Abloec, who stayed with your father, he says 'Keep smiling, it makes others wonder what you are up to.' It took me a while to work out what he meant by saying that..." Offering a calm smile to the two sisters this time, walking along, his eyes once again darting round.

Abloec had just managed to step back from hitting the side of the male skinwalker, giving his head a small shake, only to end up blinking, surprised that a flutter had landed on the male. Deciding to stay close to this skinwalker, weighing up the risks of moving round to help with the female and deciding that was a foolish thing to do. Not sure how to help keep the male SW pinned he moved around cautiously, moving round so that he was more behind the male, moving towards his head as he draws the blanket off of his back, hoping he was fast enough to toss it over the SW's head and pin it down with his hooves.

Feeling a pang in his chest, the blanket precious to him but he could hear his mothers voice now... 'Its just a blanket Ab I would rather it be lost than you.' Sighing just wishing his mother was around to fix it when it inevitably got shredded by the male SW, but it was the safest bet they had of pinning the males head without one of them having to get too close. Plus it had the advantage of hopefully blinding him, at least till he tore it to pieces, but even a little time was an advantage. Taking a deep breath and going for it, thinking at very least he would provide a distraction so another could do something helpful.

(rolling to see if Ab can cover Nos's head with the blanket and pin his head down with it)

Sofiel grunted as he tried to keep hold of his grip of the Skinwalker, he was having trouble keeping him pinned due to the obvious attempts to dislodge him, it was likes like this that he was grateful that he was also part unicorn -thank his mother for that! "Better men than you have tried," he growled through gritted teeth as he tried desperatly to keep hold of the creature.

Sofiel watched as his comrades attacks and attempts missed the skinwalker, he had to do something. He may not have the strength of a skinwalker but he could certainly try.

6- Loses his hold but turns and impales him fully while headbutting Nos.

Haishan Fai flashed a wide grin at the Angeni that had obvious come to aid their fight, he was sure he recognised the stallion -one of Chandra's or Io's companions perhaps? He had never spoke to him but Tuli had commented that they seemed to make a nice couple. Either way it was nice to have an extra set of hooves -he only regretted that they where from one from young. "Welcome, friend"

Renesme joins Hayagriva on the ground, her muscles where tender but she wouldn't give up. Rune continues on to join his herd and prepare for the arrival of those fleeing the Miakoda Herd. It was a sad day that such a thing had arose but she would not give up, not think about it until after her part was played. "This way." She called to her new companion, she tucked her little wings in from the feel of the ache that was starting to consume her body she figured she wouldn't be flying again for a while.

"Skinwalkers," she said with a pant, "have attacked. Maion took several of the stronger stallions with him and Sengdroma has the rest of the herd - they are coming here."

Maion watched as his attack missed, as Sofiel came to their aid and the as his friends tried to aid their fight. It didn't seem to be going well -except for the fact that Sofiel still had hold of the catwalker. He wanted to roar in anger, to curse but he knew it wouldn't do any good. He was needed, and with the arrival of Sonnet - a boy that he had watched grow up with his daughter Chandra for a while now- he knew he was needed even more. He would not lose the two youths, or any of his friends if he could help it. "You are mine!" He said in a low voice directed to the catwalker. And he meant it. "Keep trying! This day WILL be ours." He yeld to his comrades, determination radiating through his every word and he knew if they had been close enough to the ocean they would have felt the shake of earth as a heavy wave crashed into the cliff side.

Unaware of what was happening behind him with Kimi he charged forward. Horn and hooves ready to impact with flesh.

Chandra looked to her friend as they continued to walk to her grandfathers herd, "I shall try and smile for all of us then." And she did try, thinking of all the happy things that usually made her smile. Her family, her friends, the way her heart fluttered whenever she flew or spent time with Sonnet.... she had so much to live for, they all did. And deep down she believed with all her heart and soul that this day would be won in their favor. They would banish the evil from their lands and rebuild the confidence that had been smashed.

Following Cael's lead she began to scan the surroundings looking for movement, or anything that didn't fit -she only hoped that it would be in their favor rather than something else against them.

Scythe wasn't as young as he use to be, he had a hard time keeping up with the movements of the quick female. Before he knew it, she had already taken to the air. His eyes followed her as she moved across the sky, he knew she wouldn't leave her companion. Suddenly, she turned.

"Get back!" he shouted to the others that had been attacking the skinwalker. He slowly opened his large wings, bared his teeth, and lowered his head. Bracing his body he would keep the female from getting to the rest of the herd.

With sudden impact and tremendous force, Kimi had hit him. He lost his breath, his wings and body almost curling into a ball. "Damn!" he muttered as he gasps, trying to watch the female as she passed him by.

Malchediel jerked backward as the skinwalker made it to his feet. That couldn't be good. Of course a light flutter couldn't keep a massive muscled skinwalker to the ground. Maybe he should have helped him.... but there wasn't any time for those thoughts.

Only the presence and bravery of his father allowed Mal to pull himself together again and attack. He tried with his horn for a second time. He aimed it at a seemingly unprotected flank on the skinwalker and lunged forward.

Cael kept quiet, letting the sisters talk, he couldn't really offer any words of comfort to the other one, though he assumed this must be the perfect Io that Chan had rambled on about in their adventure. Still looking around, quiet now, not feeling the immediate tension from the chance of a sudden attack. There had been no sign of the skinwalkers on their journey, and he could only assume that they had reached their destination as the lead mare was calling for her mother. Though he found that a little odd, but then he knew nothing about herd life.

Ab left the blanket beside him on the ground, it might come in handy again if they could get the skinwalker back on the ground. Watching the young unicorn but a scratch in the side of the SW male he once again cursed that his horns were not suited for dealing more damage, but he had an idea forming, it probably wouldn't do much damage but it might put the SW male back on the ground.

With his new plan in his mind he moved more to the SW males other side, making a mental note that his blanket is on his other side now. Keeping track of it in case he needed it later. Starting to rear, kicking at the SW males legs, front and back in turn, trying to take him back to the ground.

Ab couldn't help but smile when he felt his hooves connect with leg, though his usual luck returned in a rush as he missed his second target.

Haishan Fai acted on pure instinct as he watched the scene unfold. The female skinwalker, who was now in animal form and headed towards the youngest of their party -an angenicorn that he knew not the name of, was the most dangerous threat he could help with in that moment. Especially given the fact that Maion and the others seemed to have the other walker covered.

At the call for 'purple' to open his wings Haishan Fai did so, there where only two purple males present that he could see and the other had been the one to call him. "Hold strong boy!" He called as he waited to see what would happen as the skinwalker was flung uncontrollably towards them.... unfortunitly their combined effort was not enough because the beast had somehow managed to evade their trap and crashed to the ground instead not far from them. Anger was bubbling within the usually calm minded soquili, he wanted to do damage... not miss again and again!

Stepping towards his purple companion his eyes where trained on the hawk beast that was still clinging to the floor, its wing bent at a strange angle... but still he could see and feel the pure malice in its gaze. Such a creature would never look at his mate like that! He would see to it, even if he had to destroy it! "Hey kid, this one's ours! Go left!"

Giving no more instructions Haishan Fai lunged to the right and made to attack....

Kimi hissed and shrieked, her wing in agony after the fall and she could already scent the determination of those who had done the damage. Three stallions! She hated stallions, and this would be yet another bruise to her ego if she managed to survive. Blood was welling up from her broken wing, the bone having broken through her flesh and feathers. She probably should have changed back... faced them horse for horse, but not knowing how the break would affect her made her reluctant to.

She hissed again, watching as the wind soquili dared to dart to her right. She clucked her tongue... her actions growing more and more desperate for him to back off.

In that moment Kimi knew two things. Maion would never fall at her claws and secondly, coming here had been a mistake. She had never suspected that her brother had been so powerful a leader.... and although she could see the evidence of it she did not understand how he could command such respect.

Perhaps... that was simply because she was a skinwalker, cursed and damned. In her world respect got you killed.... forced you to lower your guard long enough to get stabbed in the back.

Chandra felt her heart drop, her sister, her brave and usually so calm sister was scared? She fell silent, her gaze passing between all of those that had travelled with them to her grandfathers lands... brave Cael, calm Io, practical Mummy and steady Aunt Tuli, all of them so full of life and happiness when all in the world was aligned correctly.

Her thoughts where distracted however at the sound of her grandmothers voice, her heart fluttered. Grandmother meant family.... family meant aid for her father! Skipping away from the group she ran with all her passion and strength towards Avalokiteshvara, and buried her head softly in her grandmothers neck; suddenly thankful for the added warmth and light in her soul.

Perhaps... all was not lost?

Renesme looked at Haya, her breath coming more and more shallow as she struggled to breath. The exhaustion of her flight home and then the forced flight to come to the rescue of her home had left her zapped of her precious energy.

She longed to go with Haya, but knew she would only slow him down... she just hoped he would not be too late. "Hurry!" She breathed, her voice no more than a whisper as she watched yet another brave stallion join the frey. She looked at her mate, and wondered what she would have done if he had been with them... perhaps if she had not been with child he would have? Soon.... she would have to tell her herd, she only hoped that the news was not echoed by the death of someone she loved. She did not want her babies to be tainted by such darkness.

Turning away from Haya and her own herd lands she continued up towards those lands of their neighbours, she knew they would grant her and Rune sanctuary... afterall, two of their bravest had just joined the battle for Miakoda's lands.

Maion watches as the catwalker managed to escape most of Sofiel's hold, and it was clear to Maion that his old friend was quickly losing the strength needed to hold on to such a mighty beast, thank the heavens they had such strong numbers!

It was difficult to ignore the sounds of pain and fury behind him but Maion knew that like any good leader that he could not do everything, he must trust in his orders and in the actions of his loyal friends and companions. He trusted everyone here, and after today that trust would only be strengthened.... they had not abandoned him and the Miakoda herd but rose to the occasion to stand and fight for what was right. They where strong, stronger than he could ever have realised before today.

Frustrated that he had not hit his target he tried again, this time more determined!
