"No.....not it would not..." She chuckled as she stared walking with him again. there was a long awkward silence, "Elder.....would you mind if i spoke freely in front of you....about something....that is....very important to me...?" She looked t him shyly.

Altair looked over at her. She had gone quiet for a moment and he was hoping he hadn't done anything to cause it. He was about to say something when she spoke.
"Of course Farah... You may tell me anything... and please... you don't ahve to be so formal. What is on your mind. Speak freely."

"Well....if I'm not....being too forward...." She blushed and looked down at the ground because it was simply too embarrassing to say while she looked him in the eye, "We have gotten....close have we not?"
She snuck a look at him that confirmed her statement, "And....we have certain......feelings....for each other." If at all possible she turned even more red, "I was just......I mean....Oh hell.....What i really want to know is if we're to be mated soon or not." She quickly blurted it out.

He watched her with curious eyes. She seemed to be flushed about something. He then smiled at her forward comment.
"You could never be too forward around me Farah... please... speak whats on your mind. I will listen." Of course red returned to his cheeks when she spoke about them being close. "Yes... we have..." He looked away along with her.
"Of course... I have great feelings for you..." He had never said it out loud tp her before but he did. He loved her like no other. Of course the look on his face was rather surprising when she mentioned being mates. He blinked.

Farah looked at his stunned expression and felt entirely mortified. Of course he didn't feel the same way. She was just kidding herself. He cared for her, that was obvious. But it must not be the way a male cared for a female.
"Excuse me....I have spoken too much....Forgive me Elder..." She bowed her head, then turned and quickly walked away from him. She felt foolish, and had the urge to cry herself to sleep.

"Mm..." Altair watched as she turned and quickly skittered off. "Wait... Farah!" He called after her but it was too late. She was already gone... cloaked by the trees. He cursed himself for not making a move before she was able to get away. Out of all their Brotherhood Farah was the one who mastered the second tenet well... 'Always be discreet' Let the forest mask you such that you become one with nature.
He sighed as he looked away then up in the direction she had gone. He would have to find her. He didn't mean to make it come out bad. He took off in the direction she had gone.

Farah disappeared into the forest like Altair had taught her. How could she ever show her face to the Elder again. She had completely embarrassed herself. She felt like such an idiot.
Curled up under an old oak tree, she had shimmied her way into it's trunk so that she was almost hidden, except for her bright blue hair, which was exceptionally hard to hide.

After hours of looking he was temped to give up. He had upset her... that was obvious... Maybe she had gone back to the keep and was hiding in her room. He turned but something stopped him. If he got back to the keep and she wasn't there he would of course be upset. He cared about her too much to leave her out here alone. Tired he decided to continue his search. Finally he saw a glimpse of hope. Something blue sticking out of a stump.
"There you are..."

Farah had heard him coming and held her breath hoping that he wouldn't notice her. Damn it! She cursed and looked up. He was the last fox she wanted to see now. Tears still stung in her eyes from crying. "Mm...." She looked away, "Don't look at me Elder....I'm...unworthy...." She looked down at the ground sadly.

Altair glared at her. He couldn't believe what he had just heard.
"And just... what do you mean by that..." His tail flicked in annoyance. The way she was talking was making it sound as if he didn't care about her at all.

"It means i don't want to be seen like this...." Her tail flicked. She hated for anyone to see her in such a weakened capacity. She prided herself on being a strong vixen, and here she was blubbering like a small kit.

He sighed as he looked at her sadly. He hated to see her like this. He knew that she didn't like to be seen like that. She was always trying to be the strongest out of the females in the tribe.
"Farah..." He took a few steps closer. "Please don't be upset... I did't mean to upset you with what I said..." He frowned.

"No.....do not apologize...it was my stupid mistake....I never should have said anything.....it was....so stupid of me....I apologize if i made you feel uncomfortable Elder...." She stood up and wiped her eyes to hide the tears. "I will head back to the tribe now."

Altair sighed as he closed his eyes for a moment. He was trying to collect his thoughts. It was always hard for him to talk to females... He could say the wrong thing at any time.
"Look..." he looked up at her. "What you said to me was not stupid... I was just rather surprised by it considering..." He sighed. "I was trying to find you the right item to ask you myself... then you went and asked me about it before I got the chance too."

Farah looked at him shocked, "You mean....you were...going to.....ask me?" She blinked, her face turning a soft pink as she lowered her gaze. "You mean that....you do want to be.....official mates with me?" she pawed at the ground, "I know that....i am rather plain....and am not much to look at...."
