Maybe this -wasn't such a good idea...but he already said. A deep breath and he moved forward to the ticket booth to try and sneek in a ticket purchase. "Why don't you grab us some refreshments, I'll come help cary them in a second."

"Okay!" Like sending -Demy- to go pick out refreshments was a very good idea. At least he didn't buy more than he could carry (he was determined to carry them for Z, it was his birthday after all) but it certainly involved candy.

Zac facepalmed, normally he wasn't so -off- tactically, but at least a Happy Dem was an easier to convince Dem... yes, yes that was the argument he was going to stick to... oh god what had he DONE.

What he had done was send the best person EVER to go fetch snacks, clearly! Z was also saved by the fact that theater stuff was overpriced, so at least Demy -thought- before picking out a few items. A few even. It certainly was some kind of miracle.
Two drinks, a popcorn to share, and some candy later Demy had dragged Z into the theater itself and picked out the best seats he could. Z would also be thankful that this time they weren't in the front row.

He sat down relieved at the lack of 'overdone' candy, and not even candies he considered 'gross', for the most part anyhow. Demy really -was- trying to make it an 'awesome' birthday. He made sure he didn't take over the arm rest so that goodies could go between them as he sat down and shifted till he was fairly comfortable.
"Thanks for...not going all the way down front..." He said, maybe he could teach some good habits that wouldn't make him feel like he would have movie 'whiplash'... ugh like that time he'd gone to an imax, gotten there late and ended up half folded over the back of the seat on a booster just trying to see.

"You're welcome!" Demy was all smiles as he adjusted the goodies to be within easy reach of both of them and sat back to enjoy the film. This was -great-. A whole day of fun with Z, just sitting back and enjoying being kids for once. He could get used to this, he really really could.

The movie was -fantastic- all things consdiered, right up to the point when Demy gripped his arm and said in a loud whisper that he TOTALY needed a dragon, and where could they find them.
He managed to still the conversation by merit of being in a theater but he could already see the conversation on the way home in his head, and the subsiquent inquiries that would be made about the negaverse's supply of night furies.
--
It was with those thoughts already in his head, and bracing himself for it, that they left the theater almost shoulder to shoulder.

"Z, Z, Z, Z wasn't that AWESOME?!" Demy grinned down at him, thoughts of the movie still tumbling around in his head. Holy s**t -dragons-. Dragons were badass.
"You totally know you want a dragon. Cmooon, you have to want one! I rode one once, did I ever tell you about that?"

"Yes, it was rather a good movie and No I don't think the queen has....wait....WHAT?" He stopped his pre-formated argument dead hearing that Demy had -ridden- one. "When? Where?" He blinked trying to comprehend.

"Oh MAN Z it was AWESOME! It was a whileeeee ago, long before you joined us! In fact--it..was when you were in the hospital.." He stopped for a moment, biting his lip. "Cordy was trying to cheer me up and we went to this rave but stuff happened, ya know? And like well...fight fight you get the idea. But duuuude the DJ booth turned into a dragon and I rode on it!" At least he had the common sense to lean down a bit and whisper this part so the entire city didn't find out about their Negaverse forms.

"DJ Booth....turned into a Dragon, yeah...that sounds like something you'd be involved with." He confessed shaking his head in kind of wonder.
"I take it, that it didn't last the fight or you'd have brought it somewhere to keep as a pet?"

"It didn't...I miss Sparky. Maybe we can make a new dragon and I can keep it! Do you think Mrs. Killingworth would let me? Dooo you? It'd be AWESOME. Cmooon Z you gotta think it'd be awesome!" His eyes were practically shining as he imagined how awesome it'd be to have a Sparky 2.0 and ride around on it and.....well he didn't know what else. But damnit it'd be amazing.

"We'll have to see... Mrs. Killingworth might prefer to save dragons for really special occasions, so don't pester her too much about it alright?" He arched an eyebrow at Dem with a sort of amused smile. God.. if they ever did find a draconic yoma again it was going to be VERY interesting.

"She'll think -I'm- a special occasion, but fineeee I won't pester her...too much." Too much left a very dangerous loophole for Demy. What he figured as 'too much' and what Z did were two -very- different things.
