"YessirshecouldsirifshewantedsirImeanAgenthayessir" Liam responded, realizing exactly what he had said. Still Hayes had promised to at least look into the genetics side of things, and Liam had an idea about that one. "Do you know a... uh.. Miss Nyx, Agent Hayes? She works in the labs and... uh... she might be willing to, uh... you know, help?"

"Relax," Hayes half-laughed. "I mean you're good at what you do." Just in case the explanation wasn't enough to placate her, he leaned away with his good hand up to fend her off. He also took his attention off the other blonde to look at their new project, for lack of a better word. "Nyx?" It took him a minute to connect the name with the battle-reluctant mass of fluffy white hair he'd met earlier. "Oh, yeah. I can see who she knows."
A couple tables away, Switch chewed on a forgotten french fry in the shadow of a chair.

"Whatever," Nikki grumbled, passing him a glare before looking back to Liam with a huff.
She was getting disinterested in this conversation. They weren't going to get anywhere by just sitting here, talking about it.
"You want me to whip you into shape? Fine. I can do that." She smirked, "And I won't go easy on you either. You asked for it."

"Well, she may be willing to help... or I at least hope she would?" he said, giving him another of his grimace-smiles. But still, he would have to survive Nikki before he had a chance at studying genetics in the labs with Nyx. His expression switched to his toughest look, which was still just a pout, but he hoped it conveyed his determination to his new mentor. "Yes ma'am! I will always strive to do my best for the glory of Team Rocket!"

The glory of Team Rocket was all well and good, but it usually wasn't shouted about in the middle of the cafeteria. Liam's enthusiastic declarations were beginning to draw notice, including a couple sniggers and meaningful elbows. The trainee was likely to encounter a few good Samaritans happy to introduce him to the glory of Team Rocket's hazing tradition.
"She's a grunt. Don't think she'll get you anywhere," Hayes replies with a half-grin. He tweaked his glasses into place and looked around for his Pikachu. The meeting was coming to an end. "Guess Nikki will set up your training schedule.. I'll shoot you an e-mail about the other stuff. Sound cool?"

"I'll send you an email as well when I figure out a schedule. Look out for it."
Having finished her lunch by now, Nikki decided to get up from the table. Hobbling on her crutch, she went to dump her trash and return the tray.
She was ready to out of the company of idiots. More than ready. Darkfeather looked up and promptly followed after his trainer.

"Oh-oh... right. 'Eee-mail.' I'll, uh... check that." And by check that he meant try to figure out how to turn on that box he had been told had the 'eee-mail' inside. But he didn't want them to think he was that hopeless. Surely someone would be able to help him with that... Anyway, Nikki was already leaving, so asking her wouldn't do him any good (not that it would have if he had asked while she was sitting down) and even though Hayes had one of those seemingly magical boxes with, Liam didn't expect he would want to spend the rest of his afternoon teaching a trainee what a mouse was. "I... I guess I'll go start my own training, then... if you'll ex-excuse me, sir?" He bowed again, but didn't leave quite yet, as it was polite to allow your superiors to leave the room first, and Liam was nothing if not polite. He saluted in response to Hayes's "Yeah, sure." and watched his new mentors leave, one in the wake of the other. He was going to have a lot of work to do, but he was sure they'd all grow together... in time.
