"HTTTTTT" Paige sung. She wandered over to his bed, stepping on articles of clothing and other things. What a horrible place to bring Fale. He must think less of her now that he's seen her brother's room. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. Wait, since when did she care what Fale thought of her?

Fale's mind was racing, did he have to meet her brother? Was it really such a big deal? If he didn't wake up, he'd be safe, but then he'd have to interuppt Paige and he didn't want to do that. The thought of meeting her brother and him not liking Fale passed through his mind again.
"Paige, what if we let him sleep for now? We can come back later," he suggested.

Paige had taken her brothers hat off and pulled the covers off of him by the time Fale had spoken.
"Well, if that hadn't worked I would say ok, but I think he's already awake." Paige motioned to her rolling on his side brother.

Fale's spirits dwindled, his hopes of meeting Paige's brother later, were gone. Then he thought of something, maybe if he borrowed one of her brother's shirts, he wouldn't notice! He would be half asleep and would probably go right back to sleep, it was the perfect plan! But maybe he should ask Paige first.
"Paige, can I borrow one of your brother's shirts real quick?" Hopefully she would know what he was getting at.

"Oh, c'mon HT, you can't be that tired," Paige told him, slightly annoyed. It was his own fault. He'd go out every night partying and get home really early in the morning. If he missed meals or anything, he couldn't blame anyone but himself. Fale's question brought her out of her thoughts.
"Sure, what for?" she replied with no hesitation. For some reason, Fale was able to pull her from her thoughts more often and better than anyone else, even HT.

"You'll see," Fale smiled. He went to the closet, grabbed a shirt and put it on quickly. Hopefully he wouldn't notice that one of his shirts were missing and on some random guy. But Fale was taking a lot of risks lately. He found a mirror on the wall and looked at himself, he looked more like a normal guy than he ever had and he liked it.

Paige looked at Fale and smiled. The shirt blocked out part of his horrible outfit, it was great! Maybe she could convince Fale to wear some of HT's shorts as well, but she knew they didn't have any time.
"Fale, that's such a good idea!" she smiled. She really didn't want to insult his outfit, what if he liked it? But even though they had been spending time with each other, it still hurt her eyes.

"I thought it might be," Fale said. "I know my outfit is well.... off, so I want to make a good impression on your brother, without him getting any weird ideas about me." Fale thought about it for a second, you only get one chance to make a good impression, so maybe he shouldn't wear her brother's shirt. Thinking of the half asleep brother, Fale looked over to the bed where Paige's brother was just sitting up.

HT sat up slowly and looked at the clock, it was only 5 o'clock! Why was he up this early?! He looked over to see two figures, his sister and some guy.
"Paige..." HT yawned,"What the heck is your problem?" Was it time to eat? Nah, she would let him miss a meal. Did something happen and now someone was angry at him? He laid back down and closed his eyes with a sigh.

"I don't have a problem," Paige huffed,"I just wanted you to meet my friend." Did she just say friend? Yeah, she did, and she was ok with it. Fale was more of a friend in the time they had spent together than any other person in her life. HT layed down after she spoke.
"Don't ignore me! You should at least say hi or something you jerk!" HT should be happy for her to have a friend, but he wasn't giving it any attention.

HT's ears flattened against his head at Paige's shouting and opened his eyes to look at her friend.
"Hey. Cool shirt, got one just like it. K. Night." HT rolled over to face the wall and put the covers over his head.

"Your such an insensitive b*****d!" Paige yelled at him. She grabbed Fale's hand and walked out of HT's room, slamming the door behind them. Once she got out into the hallway she took a deep breath and sighed.
"I'm sorry you had to go through that Fale. I knew he'd probably be asleep but I didn't think he'd be like that," she looked down at their hands and smiled softly.

Fale just stood and watched the sibling interact. Did Paige call him her friend? He was sure he heard it and that made him happy. Soon that happiness was shattered by Paige yelling at her brother. Things never go well when yelling is involved. He wanted to say something to calm Paige but her brother had started to speak. Fale's ear flattened this time when Paige yelled yet again and was jerked out of the room by his hand.
"It's fine," Fale replied to Paige's apology. "At least it didn't turn out worse like I thought it was going to."

Paige sighed,"No, it's not fine. You shouldn't have to be subjected to our yelling." He was too forgiving and too fast, but maybe thats what real friend do? Or maybe it was something he was used to? She wondered, what was Fale's family like?

"Paige really," Fale turned to face her,"It's fine. I know families have their arguments sometimes." He smiled warily but warm as to show her that he had been there before and it was nothing to be ashamed of. It's just the way things were, it was natural. With that, it clicked, Fale shouldn't be ashamed of himself or anything else and if he was, he could change it. But being the self concious guy he was, it wouldn't be easy to make any changes to himself. But he would try, at least, for Paige. He could always be strong for her but still worry about himself.
