Skye wiped around and laughed at Aki's miss fire. "No, I got you!" He clapped his small paws together and wagged his tail.
"Coffee?" She thought for a moment. "You have some? I can get Skye over here to get us started!" She let out a sharp whistle that rang through the quiet plains. "Skye! Get over here! We have something for you!" She smiled at the lie she knew Skye would believe.
Skye perked up his slender ears to the whistle. "Come on Aki, let's go back." He beckoned him to follow as he made his way back to the campsite.

Aki blinked at Skye, and grinned, ready to pounce when he heard the whistle and the call. I suppose breakfast is ready! But I didn't get hardly any training in! The rain has made most of the wild pokemon hide. Aki sounded a little disappointed at this. Alight, lets head back. Want a ride? Aki offered to let Skye ride on his back.
Mau looked at Cal "We have something for him? Or something for him to do?" he asked with a grin.

Skye wagged his tail even more as he mounted the Vaporeon. "Thanks! Now lets go, I'm hungry. He patted Aki on his side, "We'll train later." He couldn't quite see over the grass, but he knew which way to go, pointing his acute ears to the direction that he could hear Cal.
"Hm... Both." She was felling a little better, "He can have some coffee." She started to prepare a spot for the fire to be lit that was free of wet mud and grass.

Aki shook his head a little as the pikachu climbed on, and he sprung into motion, nearly galloping back towards the camp.
Mau chuckled a little at Cal. "Well, should give him a little snack before we make him work then. Otherwise it's sort of mean." Over Cal's shoulder, Mau could on occasions see a familiar pale blue crest... with unfamiliar blue-tipped yellow ears. He stared for a moment before laughing at the sight. Aki looked as though he'd sprouted pikachu ears.

Cal looked in the distance to see a morphed Aki and Skye galloping toward them. "Looks like a Team Rocket experiment gone horribly wrong." She smiled and pulled a berry from her bag. "I could care less at this point." She rolled her eyes, playing with the Leppa berry she would give to Skye.
When they reached camp, Skye hopped off and ran to Cal. "Pi? Pika, Pi Chu!" He pulled at her pants leg for the berry, which Cal handed over.
"Now you need to do something for us." She smiled sweetly to the Pikachu, patting his head.

Mau laughed a little watching the eager pikachu. "Hey Aki, remember when you got that excited?"
"Veh!" Aki turned his nose into the air as if the thought of him being like that was indignant. This only made Mau laugh a little more.
"Could you fill this pot, Aki? Lets get some coffee going shall we? And then I'll get breakfast out for you." Aki was happy to oblige and squirted his watergun into the pot.

Cal gathered up some material to burn, "Ok Skye, I want you to light this on fire."
"Pi?" Skye looked very puzzled. How was he, an electric pokemon, supposed to start a fire?
Cal sighed a little annoyed. "Just spark, ok? I'll tell you when to stop." She was on a rather short fuse that morning.
Skye nodded and put his face close to the pile and his cheeks started to until the material caught. "Kachu!" He was very proud of himself for being able to get start a fire.
Cal blew on the fire, throwing on more grass and bush twigs until it was decent enough to boil water. "Ok! Let's get that water going for some coffee!" She smiled and squirmed excitedly.

With the fire ready, Mau set up the pot over it to boil. "Hey Cal, while we wait, why don't you try playing that flute you have again?" Mau suggested. "Maybe we'll find some pokemon today." He was reaching into his bag for some food for Aki, and probably Skye as well, for breakfast.
Aki had been impressed with Skye's fire starting abilities. So you're a fire type now? he teased the pikachu. All in good fun though.

Cal blushed a bit, "Sure, I need the practice." She nervously pulled the white flute from her bag. The looked over to the pot, hoping that it had magically started to boil, but it wasn't her kind of day. "Here goes nothing." She inhaled deeply before playing her tune. The melody from the flute traveled through the quiet plains for quite a distance. The tune was sweet and soothing and should attract pokemon to the source. It sure was working on Skye, who bobbed his head dreamily to Cal's playing.
Skye nodded with pride, "I am!" His ears perked up when her caught and unusual sound on the wind. Things didn't seem right.

(If anyone is reading this and questioning what we're doing, rules say we can encounter pokemon and fight them in the wild. We just have no chance of catching them unless they're staff-posted.)
Oh, a master dual type! How rare you are! Aki laid down with a yawn, listening to the dreamy music for a bit. There was a rustle in the grass, and Aki's head snapped to the side. Do you hear it?
Mau smiled a little as Cal started to play. He moved to the tent while listening, packing up the tent so it wouldn't get blown away if a storm brewed while training today. He was nodding his head happily to the music when a flash of something caught his eye. Movement, just before a scyther jumped out of the grass into the clearing of their campsite. It's eyes were ablaze and focused on Cal.
"Scy..."

Skye turned his attention to the grass. "Yea.. This doesn't seem good.." The Scyther sprang from the grass right after Skye had settled down.
Cal gasped and sat perfectly still. She was caught by surprise and stopped her playing, dropping the flute into her lap. "S-Skye!" She felt that if she made any sudden movement, the Scyther would attack her instead of her pokemon.
Skye acted on impulse, sending a thunder shock at the Scyther.

The scyther hissed in pain and swung it's scythe-like arms to shake off the electric jolt.
"SCYTHER!" It bellowed, turning to the annoying little rat and charging, now in a blind rage.
"AKI! Use your icebeam and help Skye!" Mau shouted, not sure how well the electric type would fare against the flying bug. Aki readied his attack, but the scyther was moving too fast for him to be confidant enough to hit it and not Skye as it charged.

Cal shot up to be in a better position to see the battle and get out of the way if she needed to. Skye had hit the Scyther, but she wasn't too sure how he would fair against the foe's attack.
Skye wasn't able to get out of the Scyther's way in time, taking the blow that knocked him back. He gritted his teeth and let go another thunder shock attack.

Aki quickly changed tactics. Mau may have said icebeam, but.... He used watergun, drenching the scyther from head to toe as the electric shock hit the bug. It let out a yowl of pain, and there were more sounds from the grasses.
"I think we're surrounded." Mau said softly, moving closer to Cal. "This wasn't exactly what I thought would happen with your flute."
With the scyther slowed down a little to recover from the shock, Aki used his icebeam to freeze it's feet and jumped to stand beside Skye.

Skye smirked as Aki joined him. "Let's do this!" He nodded and readied himself to launch an attack.
Cal smile, "I guess I'm getting better than!" She laughed but regained her composer, ready to take command of this fight. "Ok Skye, dig!"
Skye disobeyed Cal and thought it would be more helpful to use another thunders shock on the bug pokemon. He made sure that he was far enough away from Aki so that he would not accidentally hit him and released a powerful thunder shock.
As the four of them battled the wild pokemon, two more appeared from the grass.
"Oddish?" A small oddish appeared from the rustling grass, followed by a Beedrill that hovered close to it. They both had been attacked by the melody Cal had played.
