... Who knows... I run through the course of the battle... I just use whatever is the best at a given moment...

I love strategy, but when it is stoped... you know you have to read through the whole match for a new approach...

By the way brains+brawls... = win

brains and power wont win alone. you will need speed too.

For the love of Rah, I can tell you run a weavile in your team, jolteon and such things... good pokémon indeed... but they fail in two parts... no priority move... and trick room makes them uterly slow for a while... so I can tell you my friend... Speed is a good thing, but definetly not everything and surely not going to win any match alone XD

Weavile's got Ice Shard.

@Kunx: Just having Fly in a Pokemon's moveset is a mistake.

You´ve got the example either way, ´sides... Im not much a dragon user guy... and it usually fails because it´s rather ineffective agaist me so I may just forget about it XD

Rest of that...maybe he is still training pokémon or was to lazy to change the move set since we all know we need "fly" in-game.

It was PBR.

I like to either have a relentless onslaught (with one bulky tank to allow for some forgive-abilitiy in my play) pounding on my foe. While it is crude in nature, the relentless onslaught, it takes a lot of skill to pull off efficiently (at higher levels of play). Generally speaking, I have to sacrifice a lot of bulk for fast, powerful, yet frail pokemon. I need to use typing and immunities to avoid being shut down, but once I am able to punch a hole in your physical or special wall, I will overrun you with a devastating offense.

The onslaught strategy has more experience from me because it's easier (and more fun) to EV and level up a sweeper than it is to EV a wall.

On the flip side, I also enjoy to stall out matches.

I usually raise 6 completely diffrent types of Pokémon where at least one of them is a bug type and then just keep themn around the same level.
Right now I have a Beedrill, an Onix, a Quilava, a Pidgeotto, a Togetic, a Staryu, and a Magby around the same level as my team on SoulSilver and I just train them to a higher level than the gym leaders so that they pretty much are all at level 15+ before they even reach the first gym.

I usually try to defeat opponents as fast as possible. I do consider stat-building to be an important part of any balanced Pokemon team. It's good to have attackers, defenders, healers, stat-inflictors, etc. Brute force is okay though. A good type layout is always necessary also. You don't need every type, just the ones you think have the biggest impact on your opponent during a battle. O.H.KO moves are pointless because they have low accuracy and won't get the job done. A good moveset is composed of powerful, accurate moves (type array doesn't matter). Having a large number of average team-mates is necessary so you can adapt your team for any encounter or trainer you may come across. The overall appearance of your team doesn't really matter, as even the most underused Pokemon can be deadly when given the right move array.
