Rocket Agent Seth

PostPosted: Sun Apr 11, 2010 8:38 pm

His expression dropped to an angered scowl as he held up one of his own socks. WHAT. Closing his eyes and clenching his teeth in a fierce expression, a vein practically popped out of Seth's forehead. And then he realized that he had died and the game was paused.

"s**t."

Grumbling some more under his breath, he quickly sat down and took the controller again. Although this time, he was pissed.

"Unpause it!" he snapped at Zach.

Once the game was resumed, Mike reappeared on the screen, and he immediately went to work.

It was then the slaughter began.

Mike attacked with brutal force and expertly dodged several blows from other characters. While he did take damage, it was nothing compared to what he was dishing out. Sending characters flying left and right.

To add insult to injury, when everyone else was on their last life... he managed to get an Annihilation Ball.

Mike began to glow and Seth timed the attack just right.

"MAX ETHER!" Mike shouted as he flipped into the air and came down with his sword in a savage blow that hit everyone at once. Sending Garth, Vulpes, and Link flying in different directions.

"GAME!" The game's narrator shouted before it went to the closing screen.

"The winner is... Mike!"

"I fight for my friends."

As soon as Seth wiped the floor with all the other characters, Zach broke out laughing, "AHAHAHA! Oh man, that was AWESOME! I've got to play against you more often, that was seriously the most fun I have had playing this game ever! Now, if only I could find somebody who was this good at playing baduk..."

Zach sighed at the end of this, for that was very unlikely. Especially considering the lack of popularity for that game in this region.

Seth certainly was king of the game, just like he was king of the fight earlier. Glancing at the newer grunt Panther rolled his eyes. Of course the kid would have as much fun having his a** handed to him on a silver platter as he did kicking everyone else's tail. He didn't know the game Zach was talking about but it didn't matter to him.

"Up for another round?" he asked the group in general. The rust had been scrapped off, and he did significantly better this round, despite Seth's slaughtering.

Suddenly feeling self conscious, Zach flushes a little, *Cough* "Sorry, I got a bit too excited there, I just wasn't expecting to find such excellent players here. It was always rare to find people into these things back where I'm from."

Vulpes froze, suspended in miniature mid-fall inside a red circle reading 'P3' that pointed off the edge of the screen, and Hayes waited for the inevitable profanity from his supervisor.

When the game resumed, Hayes went on the offensive again while Nemerle watched the flickering screen through half-lidded eyes. This was familiar territory - the object now wasn't to win, but to put up enough of a fight that Seth wouldn't get insulted and demand a rematch. When the Annihilation Ball appeared, he knew it was over.

Though he'd heard it several times before, the blond grinned faintly at the irony of that victory speech and glanced at the grunts when they started talking. "Glutton for punishment" was close to being added to his list of "Things I Think Panther Is."

"Tech sector has a monthly tournament," he told Zach. "You want in?"

Seth rose to his feet and tossed the controller aside as the game was clearly over. Making it obvious that he was not up for a second round.

Although Zach's enthusiasm for having lost miserably did draw a raised brow from the elite. What was even more surprising was his mention of an ancient game that so few played anymore.

"You play Baduk?" he asked incredulously. As far as he knew, there wasn't a soul in Team Rocket that played the game. At least not anymore. The idea of this grunt being proficient in the game was absurd.

At Hayes' question, Zach's interest was instantly piqued, "That sounds like an excellent idea, count me in!" He then was caught by surprise that the same person that completely cleaned house in this game was also familiar with baduk. "I do actually, that's my favorite game in fact. How familiar are you with the game?"

It seemed he was being ignored. He had yet to decide if this was a good thing or not. Instead he decided to mess around with the game, figuring Seth would leave soon. he was unaware of Hayes low opinion of him, as he simply wanted a chance to redeem himself yes they got stopped, but training applied to more then pokemon.

It wasn't so much that Hayes had a low opinion of Panther as.. well, in the agent's experience, going up against Seth was training in the same way as trying to bench press 500 lbs. from the get-go. You were more likely to hurt yourself than measurably improve.

"Sweet," Hayes grinned, then let the conversation drift away from him as the topic turned towards a game he wasn't familiar with, he looked over to the other person on the couch.

"I could go one more round," the blond informed Panther, settling back into the couch. "See if Zach's up for it?" He indicated the other grunt with a glance.

Seth snorted, "Well enough to stomp your a**."

Granted he hadn't played it in quite some time due to a lack of people to play against. Thus, he was probably quite a bit rusty. But Baduk was a strategy game that made chess look like child's play. If it was this guy's favorite game, he was probably decent at it. But Seth certainly didn't think he was smart enough to be a master.

Zach decided to test Seth's reaction a little, raising his eyebrows. "Really? Wow, you must be really good then."

He noticed he was being talked about by the others, "I'm interested in another round, just give me a second."

He then turned back to Seth, "Would you like to prove that statement?"

Zach's initial statement caused Seth to raise a brow, suspiciously. The grunt himself must hold his own skills at a high level to have said that. However, Seth took it as arrogance and simply snorted.

A pleased smirk then worked its way onto the elite's face at the challenge.

"Certainly, but another time. I have an appointment. Check your inbox later."

With that, the elite went on his way.

As Seth turned to leave, Zach said "Alright, I look forward to it."

He then turned to the others and said "Sorry, I'm ready now." Going back to sit in his spot.

Once Seth was gone, Panther nodded. "Alright now that He's gone, let me see if I can actually beat you." he said to Zach. "And just so you know, you are weird."
