 Josh sighed. "One time I was alone in the cabin, and these two kids came in, covered in blood and screaming. I told them to leave me alone, and go to the Apollo cabin if they wanted help, it was obviously a trick, and one of them puked all over me with blood while the other one screamed at me. It took weeks for the cleaning harpies to get the blood out of the carpet."

Josh smiled wanly. "They never came back, thank the gods, but now I get sick every time I see blood. It's not exactly the best thing to have when you're training. I haven't used the arena in weeks." He took the Tylenol. "Thanks. I guess I should get over it, it was so long ago anyway."

"Do you need anything else?" Rue asked. She felt very sympathetic. Even though it didn't compare to this she remembered the days her sister had the flu and through up all over her. Twice. It wasn't pretty.

Josh grinned. "No, I'm much better now. I think I'll just sleep." He turned onto his side. "Thank you, by the way. I'm lucky I have such caring sisters." He smiled, happy that he was able to return to his normal self.

Josh woke, his eyes hazy in the half-light. He stood from his bunk and crossed over to his desk. He gathered his book in one hand and his bag in the other. Both were dark and leather-bound, and both he had received from his father.
Clutching the book, Josh carefully stepped outside, the early morning catching his eyes and daring him to look away. He stood there, outside the cabin for a moment, sighing. He wished dully that he could go back to bed. He could. He should. Look, that was his cabin, right there! But he had a promise to keep, so he trudged on towards the Pavilion, knowing heartily that he did not want to follow his father's footsteps, but follow some other crazy ambition he did not yet know.

Lili Crescent, Daughter of Aphrodite  Lili was looking as Josh came out the door with a look of curiosity -a look that disappeared as fast as it came. She rose up from her bunk half-awake and half was still in that sweet dream last night -something about ponies- and walked over to one of the mirrors. "Morning.", she said to her reflection as she produced a brush and started smoothing out her golden-blonde hair. She sighed. Every single day was like this, following the same routine. You never get any action around here.She fixed the ribbons in her hair and looked around the cabin. What prank is gonna happen this time? She looked in her reflection one last time before she put on her earphones and headed out the door.

 Josh flipped the hair out of his eyes as he made his bed, looking around the cabin. He straightened a few combs and brushes, and put away a few makeup sets, but other than that, the cabin was spotless. He smiled wryly before picking up a book and reading. He sat down in an armchair and read.
