sniffing delicatly the rabbit crawled from under the bed, redish brown fur bristled slightly as it shook itself.. its ears bouncing comically in the gesture. inching closer to the door it sniffed again.. then, appearing satisfied, it jumped into the arm chair near the window and settled in.. watching the pair with warry interest.

"If you want," Bones told Dana, although he suspected there was more to this creature then simply a rabbit. Seating himself beside Dana, Bones picked up his unfinished block of barrwood and continued his whittling.
Once the wood had begun taking form, his movements became slower, gentler as he carved each delicate feature. 'The eyes,' he thought, 'gotta get the eyes right.'
"Almost done," he said, "then I'll start painting..."

Dana smiled and slowly walked up to the rabbit, knowing there was more to her.
"So why were those men chasing you hm? I don't see many men chase after rabbits anymore, not even for food."

In a very human like manner the rabbit tilted its head to one side, its ears exaggerating the motion, before a silver streak shot through its small form. in a heartbeat a young woman was sitting in the chair, noticably close to bolting as she sat on the very edge.. her body too still to be human. " what do men chase? no no, thats not right.. what Dont they chase?" correcting herself seemed to amuse her, and she stood to do a small bow carful not to wake the child as she chimed. " beggers and fools, chase lost ghouls, but rabbits will always win. with a twitch of our whiskers, we're not big riskers, but we always make it back to our den!" Tickled with herself she tilted her head, eyes closeing as she laughed cheerfully.. not really answering their question at all.

"I lived, I loved, I quaff'd like thee," Bones began, remembering a poem he'd heard long ago, "I died. Let earth my bones resign; fill up-thou canst not injure me; the worm hath fouler lips than thine." It was a small stanza to a poem he'd discovered engraved upon a goblet. This goblet, interestingly enough, was once a skull. Grinning in satisfaction, Bones finished Yuri's Riley doll and placed it against the table. Studying both Dana and the young rabbit woman, he said to Dana, "Good luck, finding a poem that'll work with your name."
"So, rabbit," he continued, "will you make it back to your den?"

"I don't need a poem for my name Bones." She walked over to the bed again and sat on the edge, looking at the Riley doll. "I'm not that special." She chuckled and stuck her tongue out at him.
She looked over at the girl and smiled slightly. "Interesting creature to shift into. Who are your parents? I have never seen anyone shift into a rabbit before besides my sister but she is able to change into anything she wishes to be."

" There are many poems about Diana, though some call her Artimis or the moon child.. dont know about Dana through." her punk clothing clicked as she shifted her stance, pushing a hand through her russet hair as she smiled.. revealing twin pearly white fangs. " Parents? no idea, no memory of such creatures.. but i enjoy many forms." Though she was a Murony and could shift into many animals Being a Hare was just her base form, the one that came easiest to her when she was rattled. her odd gaze flicked to Bones and she giggled again, shaking her head and darting out the door with a last. "bye." once again, she didnt answer the question.. and it seemed a habit of hers.

With a wicked chuckle he shut the door with his foot, enjoying her bites as he nibbled at her jaw. " may i watch? something about the idea.. hell of a turn on.." ((and of course, IMPLIED))
It was a few hours later when they opened the door again, Relic only in his jeans as he placed a towl over his shoulder.. having just washed the blood from the bites on his skin. he had left Aeryn sleeping on the bed, and intended to keep her there for a long time still when one of the wolves called to him. he waited until the man reached the door, listening to his report before sighing and dismissing him. Asa was out for blood, Psyc sending him and Aeryn a message explaining what had occured. " ... oh joy..."

Aeryn could feel Relic's distress and that made her stir, becoming worried. She rolled over and looked at Relic, leaning up a few inches from the bed, ready to get up. "Whats wrong Relic?"

Avarice favored a variety of music. Jazz, classical...none of which The Hunting Grounds played. He frowned in disdain at the growing headache pounding against his skull to the base.
"Dana," Bones said, walking to the door, "they're here."
After the necromancy in the graveyard, Avarice, Riley, and Lexi, followed by three ghouls slipped through the crowd. The crowd parted whenever one touched the ghouls, the aura of death a real buzzkill on the dance floor. Nodding to Riley, Avarice stepped through the doors leading to the rooms and a silence that he eagerly welcomed.
"Jesus...your power..."
"Bones, I've got a job for you. It involves Vaclav Castle."
"Oh?"
"Yes. They know you hate me, they'd never suspect a thing..."

Riley fallowed, leaveing Lexi to stand watch at the doorway as she stepped next to her brother. she was slightly shorter, and seemed much more fragile.. if it wasnt for the crushing aura of power that hung around her and Avarice, anyone could mistake her for one of the assassins grinding on the dance floor. she had just pushed her hair over her shoulder when a small form threw itself at them, Yuri hugging both Avarices' and Rileys' legs tightly. chuckling Riley knelt and lifted the little girl, holding up a small gemstone that glowed with purple light. " theres my girl. we have a gift for you, little Rosenthal." it was only a small portion of the magic they had used.. but it was clearly enough to revive another graveyard for weeks. Yuri squealled in delight, hugging the gem to her as Riley fixed her red gaze on bones.. unblinking as she watched for his reaction. " But look out for the Murony named Jackie.. she shares a hatred with you.. soul deep for the boy Salazar, but has still joined them.. work on her if you can, try to.. twist.. that anger until she joins our side." she didnt like her old friend on the other side.. her torturing the girl never even counted in her mind as a reason for Jackie to go against her.
Lexi had, of course, been thrilled with the club.. imidately starting to dance even before the others had gone into the halls. laughing she bumped hips with some girl next to her who shared her enthusiasm, the two seperating only when a male wolf cut in. she didnt mind so much and she could still keep a eye on the door as she was ordered.

Rather than answering, Bones knelt beside Yuri and placed the Riley doll into her other hand. "She and Bones will protect you." He quickly scanned Riley, then to the doll. Perfect match.
"There's a book," Avarice added, "that I want you to locate. It was written by our father, Edgar Rosenthal. Our crest will be embellished upon the cover and it'll look rather...rough."
"Okay. What's so important about it, doc?"
"I briefly studied it before I departed with Kirai. Necromancy is based upon raising the dead and controlling them, correct? However, it becomes difficult once the raised possesses a soul and a will. This book father wrote holds the secret to overcoming this obstacle. Anyone that I have raised, including my little Mim I could control. Even those that I have not raised...like my dearest Edward."

"... And, if we choose, perhaps a living..souless.. being as well." Kirai.. folding her arms over her chest she simply watched Bones, her gaze seeing far to much. " you are attatched to my neice.. and she to you. for this i will protect you, so long as you do not threaten my famiy."
Yuri cuddled the doll, smileing sweetly as she hugged Bones. " Thank you!"

"Precisely, my dearest." Each of their targets would further strengthen their power base. The politics of war. "Now, we will need a means of communication. Without risk of discovery."
Bones ruffled Yuri's head, nodding to Riley. He didn't like having to leave her. Or Dana. However, it was necessary. Atleast...the dolls would protect her if he couldn't. Splicing sections of his soul and sealing them inside the dolls guaranteed that. Digging through his pocket, he protruded two lockets. The covers were intricately carved, his handiwork, and inside, a mirror.
"We can communicate through them."
"Splendid."
Kneeling infront of Yuri, he said, "Be careful, okay?" His dolls, Riley and Bones twisted their heads a full 360 and watched him. "Protect her." They both nodded in unison.

"Whats wrong Relic?" "Asa is.. upset." he grimaced, pushing open the door to the hall only to growl in annoyance at the small crowd. " take it inside, or scatter. this area of the club is for residence only."
