It wasn't momments after she awoke that the loud alarms started ringing in the rooms. "What the hell?" Lilly pulled herself out of the bed, forced herself to pull on her slacks and tank, zipped up the boots and grabbed her gloves. It didn't take her long to find her way out of the room and back to the main table. As she decended down the steps she could see the holograms from across the way. They were terrorising those poor people... "My god!"
She held her gloves tight as she covered her mouth in horror as she listened to the warning. "This is bad." Cracker Jack sighed.
"Bad?" she found herself saying "This is horrible, what on earth is there to do?" She would recomend to make another decoy, only problem was that already failed. The idea popped into her head in momments "Wait. What if we make them a better serum?" she said, "I know it sounds crazy, but what would they want with the old one if we gave them something better? But if we make it, we could take away its sting. What about the poison Wicked Woman wanted? What if we made this poison? Gave it to them...But we could make the antidote...distribute it in the water or through the vents of the city and then spred it through the world...so the poison would effectivly be useless..."
She looked at the group, they must have thought her crazy.

"Wait..." Cracker jack smiled beneath his mask. It was a fantastic plan. "We will create the antidote to the virus we have stolen, then our agents will put it through the water system." Cracker Jack looked at Gregory, Mr. Freeze, Lex, Braniac, and Finally at Lilly. We are going to need that antidote fast. We cannot let more innocent people die. I will take the Disease to The injustice league, but I and a couple of my commerades will put up a fight. He turned to the assortment heroes. "Bane, Cyborg Superman..., Lets make them remember why they fear us." A small weak looking man with glass walked up next to Cracker Jack, and a replica of MonsterMan with steel showing in odd places and one red eye walked up to his other side. Harley Quinn jumped on the cyber superman's shoulders. "You know I prefer to be called Henery." The Cyborg said.
Cracker Jack apoligized, then turned to his finest minds. "We need the antidote as quickly as possible." Cracker Jack looked at lilly spesifically. "Can you do this?"

"Wait we still have the virus? I thought you destroyed it." And here she came up with her Idea on the idea that Cracker Jack had destroyed the virus. Atleast they didn't bash her idea, Jack actually worked off of it. She listened intently, trying to figure out the best method to use. "Aslong as we have the virus to take a sample of, we could find some chemical to shut it down; prevent the virus from activating. It will take a while...how long do we have?" she asked. "Truthfully?" It could take days...weeks even. And if she couldn't find the right enzyme to counter, the antivirus might not even work. She looked up at Victor, the reast of the scientists around her. They would be working on this too. "I think we can do it." she said faithfully.

"We've previously held them off for a few hours tops..." Jack said worridly... "However, we can try to hold them off as long as possible." Jack went into a thinking pose, his head resting on his fist. "And they may not use it as soon as they get it either... they'll have to black mail people before they will even try setting loose the virus. This will give us maybe a day more..." Jack continued his thought process... "We also need time to distribute the antidote... But I'm sure braniac can get that done easily." He looked over at Braniac, who knodded. "I've already begun the procedure of making miniscule robot carrying device which will carry the anti virus to the water." It should be world wide in a matter of days. Jack did the calculations in his head. "I think this is the best corse of action." He looked over at lex, who was probably the smartest of the whole group. "What do you think lex?"
The bald man was starring intently at the ground. "I think this may be too easy... Don't you think catman would have thought this all out?" Cracker Jack shrugged... "It's the best we can do." Lex looked up at cracker Jack. "You know your walking into a trap right? They'll never let you escape alive..." Lex said, a hint of worry in his delecate voice. Jack's eyes showed he was laughing under the mask. "And getting out of traps is what I do best lex... have a little faith bald buddy." He clapped the black bald man on the shoulder.
Ladies and Gentelmen... Lets get started...

Lex wasn't kidding, this had to be, at best, a trap. And only being given a day for the antivirus...Lilly's mind was spinning. She simply nodded and pulled her gloves on. "Lets start this. Where's your splicing supplies? Microscope? What medical machines do you guys have?"
She was racing through all of the possible chemicals she could use to deactivate the virus enzymes...that is, if this virus had the enzymes she assumed it did. If it effected the bodies of warm blooded mammals it would need to have the ability to replicate and devour a white blood cell, or attach to a red blood cell to gain access to the blood stream. She'd also have to have the right tools to pierce through the protective protien before reaching the RNA to even figure out what enzymes would be required to shut down its main function - which she didn't even know yet.
"Jack... sorry, Cracker Jack..." she walked up to him and placed a gloved hand on his shoulder, "You stole this virus, what does it doe exactly? Does it erode away muscle? Shut down vital organs? Destroy blood cells...Do we even know if it's fatal?" she asked, Lilly looked up to Lex, "We should find out exactly what we're upagainst before we jump to conclutions on exactly how to fight it. We could always try to disarm the virus, or we could make the antivirus shift the virus' energy source. These are very important things to know..."

Brainiac looked up, floating over to Lilly. "The virus causes the blood to solidify and become a mud like tissue slowly killing the person painfully. First they vommit, then their eyes burst from the pressure, then veins start popping out and then... The brain shuts down, ending the victims life, and misery." Cracker Jack cocked his head to one side... "Yea, what he said."
Jack moved toward the exit, motioning for his team to follow. "The rest of you be ready., We may need back up." With that he dissapeared up the spiral staircase followed by cyborg superman, bane, and Harley Quinn. Lex watched them leave, nodding his head. "We have no time to waste." He said turning to Lilly. "Where do we start Lilly?"

Lilly nodded, this was going take a little more time. "First place to start is finding out which RNA enzyme causes the blood to thicken..." she said, "then to find which chemical can either shut that enzyme down, destroy it, or reverse it."
This would be hard, she was used to working with gloves, but she never had to worry about touching other people before. She was wearing a tank top, accidental brushes were a problem. "Do any of you have a light jacket? I can't...work with any skin showing..." stated about an hour into their work. "I don't want to hurt you guys."
As work became steady, and Lilly began the research on the virus. It wasn't as intricate as she expected. It was actually quite simple. The bosses used a normal virus and spliced its RNA to create this monster. But just because it was simple didn't mean it was as simple to deactivate.
While she worked on the virus, Lilly kept getting distracted. She kept looking up at the doors, expecting those who had left to return, safe, unharmed...she prayed. Whether she wanted to believe it or not this was her family now, and losing any would be harsh; even if she only knew them for a day. "Do you think they are alright?" Lilly asked aloud, to who ever would answer, "It's been a long while..."

"Is this all you can muster clown?" Monster man said, he was smiling despite a massive gash in his forhead from a Cinder block thrown by bane. Cracker Jack tried to get up, but the pain in his leg was making him dizzy. His left leg was broken, and the shin bone was sticking out, shining with blood like pearl.
The rest of his team was likewise in trouble. Bane was still battling with Martian exectutioner, and Mr. Terror. Harely Quinn lay unconcious with a spear sticking out of one shoulder, and Cyborg Superman barely held off Catman's barrage, the cryptonite gloves that had high velocity power were pummeling him to death, his robotic right arm was lying 6 foot away under a heap of rubble.
Cracker Jack did what he did best. He smiled. "I'm sorry to dissapoint you master." He said with contempt. "Master?" Monster man said, his smile grew wider still. "I like the sound of that... I could make you my personal b***h." Monsterman's blood red eyes were slits as he let out a chainreaction of laughter. "Or I could just melt your brain right now." Cracker Jack had nothing to say. So he gave Monster Man the middle finger. "Melt That d**k HEAD!!!"

Lilly was panicing a storm, way to distracted to work. "I can't wait any more..." she stated as she pulled off her jacket. "It's been way to long..." she turned to Lex who stood beside her. "I configured a possible antivirus formula, will you try this out for me?" she asked, then turned to Braniac and Victor "And here's a secound route, I'm going after them."
She didn't even wait for them to say good bye or tell her other wise, she simply ran out of the cavern. On her way out she saw marcus' body was still near the entrance of the cave, he'd bitten into the vine. Poisoned himself. Idiot
Her high boots suprisingly made no noise on the pavement, and after jogging near some running passerbyes, she found the place the fight was being held. Lilly snuck around a corner in an ally, gaped at what she saw. Harley wasn't looking to good on the road only a few yards away out cold, the others were still fighting, not doing well...but fighting. And Jack looked like he had the worst of it. "Damn what to do now?" she muttered under her breath. She looked around, as she assessed the situation she recalled all her experiments the night before. She had poisonous plants...edible plants...did she have a healing plant at her exposal?
Gratful to the ability to conjer the one safe and healing plant she had, the Daenas Carnan, she crept silently and well hidden toward Harley. She took with quick and steady hands the arrow from her shoulder, and quickly grinding the pettles of the soft blue flower pressed the sticky lather to the wound. The red infection seemed to disipate as Lilly pulled Harley into the shadows of the alley way. She pressed against the wall, she knew she wouldn't be this lucky for long, she would be noticed soon. So hidding Harley's body amung the bags of trash behind a dumpster to heal, she wound the Carnan around her wounds, the vine, if broken would let off a calming scent, and its juices would revive and aid the healing process. And from there Lilly pressed on in the shadows trying to find another of her new found friends to aid.
"Melt that d**k HEAD!!!" she heard from across the battle, she looked up to see Jack, horribly wounded at the feet of Monsterman. This was utterly not good. She saw Bane working on a fight with two other bosses, Catman was knocking the sense out of Cyborg Superman...it had to be the gloves that he carried... Lilly knelt to the ground, pressing her hands tot he pavement she summoned a creeping vine to stalk Catman. If she could some how startle him enough to catch him off balance and grab the gloves witht he vines...maybe Cyborg Superman would be able to escape or knock him out.
Helping Jack would be harder...and she didn't seem to have much time to think. Damn it!

exactly how Jack had anticipated Monsterman lost his temper. "I'm going to rip your intestines out you little freak." He said through a grimace. He charged like a bull at the wounded Cracker Jack, expecting to smash the injured hero into smitheriens. Instead he was met with smoke and air, as Jack like a matador disapeared from the bull's view.
Jack gritted his teeth as he landed behind Monsterman, his leg threatening to make him feint. He pulled out his Crypton sword in the blink of an eye and cut Monsterman's feet out from under him. He then, shot a poison dart in the direction of the martian Executioner, which hit it's mark and caused the deadly alien to fall to the ground laughing.
Monsterman screamed as the pain shot up through his legs now. Jack however did not have time to revel in his victory, becuase more of the injustice league was ariving. StarInferno, Craven, and Speed were now attacking him at the same time, coming to the aid of their leader. Jack danced around with his blades flying, holding off the assult. His vision began to blurr however each time he took a step on his right leg. He could hold out for much longer.

Jack didn't look tood at all. Lilly had finaly come out of hiding, she'd stripped Catman of the gloves, and the vine she'd sent out had tied his wrists together. It was enough of a distraction to let Cyborg Superman get a handle on the situation. It was then off to the next person.
And that had to be Cracker Jack. She saw his leg, if she didn't bind that he could do some serious damage. It wasn't long until she was nearly back to back with him. "What the hell happened to your leg!?" she cried as she dodged not only his blade but attacks from other Bosses. These were harder to dodge. "I have to bind it or you'll have to lose it!" She stated. She flung her arm outward and bound Craven's arms and legs. They weren't that strong but it would be enough to distract them.
"Now stay still!" It only took momments to comand the Carnan to bind around his leg, pushing the bone back into the flesh and holding it supported. It was all she had time to do before StarInferno got close enough to attack. "s**t..." Lilly had to jump out of the way, pushing Jack in the oppsite direction. She flung vines all over the place, trying to distract the bosses and create an obstical course. "Take cover!"

It was if Lily's warning was a queue for something besides her deadly vines as glass vials fell from somewhere up above in the buildings. As they shattered against the ground, they either released a red fog or splattered blue liquid around. These were obviously aimed throws because they only landed on or near the bosses. Up above, standing on a fire escape ladder, was a white-skinned, white-haired man holding another spherical vial. He wore a grim, no-nonsense look on his face as he lobbed the mysterious substance at Monster Man. Behind him, Catman began coughing violently from the smoke while Speed scratched furiously at where the liquid had spilled onto his skin. "Those aren't deadly!" The albino man shouted down to Lily and Jack, "So you had better get moving while they're incapacitated!" He flew down the steps and slid down one of the metal poles to land beside Lily, "I'll help carry him, I'll explain myself once it's safe.. er." The man tilted his head towards Jack.

The timing couldn't have been more perfect. It had seemed like it was the end, with StarInferno coming right for her, Lilly shielded her face. Suddenly the sound of coughing and the thick fog hinted to her that she was safe. For now.
The voice of a stranger echoed from above as Lilly pushed herself to a stand and went to help Jack up. The strange albino came foward and went to help her carry Cracker Jack. "Who are you?" she asked.
"I'll Help carry him, I'll explain myself once it's safe..er" he replied. Lilly nodded and called out to the others.
"Pull Back!" she pulled one of Jack's arms over her shoulder and tried to steady him, "I'll treat your wound once on safer ground," she assured.

"Give them the disease." Jack managed to mumble as they lifted him off his feet. Bane had taken care of Mr. Terrible, and was now holding off StarInferno, Craven, and Speed with the help of Cyborg Superman. Jack slid the real vial from his belt and gave it Lilly. She let go of him and took the vial. "I will be fine." Jack said, shrugging off the help from this mysterious stranger. "Now that it's bound I think I'll survive." He got to his feet. "on second thought, just leave it and run." Jack said, remembering how the bosses minds worked. They would take a hostage just in case.
Jack stood up to his full height, which wasn't much, but he shouted out over the battlefield. "WE LEAVE NOW!" Bane, cyborg superman, and now Harley quinn, (who had regain conciousness) withdrew. Bane smashing StarInferno through a building and cyborg superman throwing craven into a wall. The red fog made it easy for them to attack from the shadows. The team began to withdraw.
"Now for a little magic." Jack whispered, dropping into a nearby manhole cover, and motioning for his team to follow. Cyborg superman grabbed his arm and was the first after jack. Bane had since calmed down and was back to his normal human form.
Jack always had to laugh. The Injustice society always thought his escapes were magic, but it was simply his willingness to get a little dirty that saved him time after time.

illy took the vile, nodding, she went to give it back, "On second thought, just leave it and run," Once again she didn't argue. She took a few steps forward and resisting the temptation to smash it to the ground, she put it down then turned to see the rest of her friends jump into the closest manhole.
Lilly looked up once, her eyes caught that of a half blinded Wicked Woman from the fog. Wicked Womans eyes grew big as she recognised her, and after sprouting a thorny blossom in her hand, Lilly tossed it up at her, the thorns burst from the blossom and struck most of the bosses, paralizing the limb it struck, only for a long enough time to keep the rest of her friends escape. As soon as the last was in, Lilly climbed in after, making sure no one could see her and covered the manhole.
She landed on her feet, gratefull to the knee high boots being water proof, wadded through the sewer. She resisted the 'where to now?' she wanted to ask, and continued to follow the rest of them. Jack was walking on his wounded leg, she had to treat that and quickly...he's not doing himself any good walking on it. It must hurt horribly.
Her thoughts drifted to those back in the lab and hoped one of her ideas helped disable the virus. Lord she prayed....
