She wasn't surprised at his overly optimistic nature and thus she took it upon herself to 'rein him in' or so to speak as she shook her head and gazed at him pointily as if preparing to give him a lecture - she wans't one for lectures though and instead, she simply gazed at him a little more before saying just one simple line.
"Don't you think they might wonder where you are?" She asked curiously, referring to his own home and his apparent absence from it. She often gave at least a little whicker of greeting to Achak at random intervals throughout the day to let him know she was around, it was only right that Tai should let his own companions know as well.

A board applied to the back of his head would not have garnered the same expression, nor was an analogy to a landed fish appropriate enough to describe the look of utter shock and realization that crossed Tai's features as the full weight of her words sunk in. Dammit dammit dammit! She told me to stay at the teepee, what if she's back, or even worse, out looking for me!...
He didn't need a reflection in the water to know that all of these thoughts were passing in waves across his face, the faint heat rising on his cheeks was enough, along with the automatic ear flick towards the far away teepee. "well uh... you see I kind of left without telling anyone to begin with and uh..." he paused, looking her full in the eyes, his voice taking on a childish whine again. "What if they are looking for meee!"

"Well, then it would be much more wise to go back and stay there until they return to the Teepee to regroup." She offered a logical explanation despite holding back a peel of laughter at his whiney pleading, he definately reminded her of a colt and she couldn't help but feel terribly maternal towards him in the sense that she wanted to adopt him as her little brother and take him home - Achak might not appreciate that though...
"And once they return then you can tell them where you're going and then apologise for forgetting to tell them until now." She added, well aware that an apology was always desired for whatever reason.

"That sounds reasonable." he replied glumly, glancing back in the teepee's direction again, ears straining for any far away sounds. Hearing none, he sighed heavily and looked back at Yei. "Does this mean no adventure for now?" he asked, his mind clearly wrapped around the extreme negative of the situation.

"No, it means that the adventure is postponed for at least an hour or so until we fix this little accident." Yei replied wistfully as she gave him a gentle nudge and canted her head to the side, "Now, which way is your Teepee - I'll come with you so that you aren't alone and you can say I kept you distracted all this time!" She flashed a smile and then snickered briefly as though she found something rather amusing.
"You could even claim you thought i was an intruder and you chased me away from the Teepee if you really want to!"

Tai had to laugh at her last idea, he could just imagine the look on Flame's face as he tried to tell the bigger stallion that he was chasing off an intruder. "Well, they won't believe I was chasing you, and knowing Flame, if he has returned and found me missing, he's already assumed I'm out disobeying orders and having a good time." he said wryly, shifting his weight. "But I'm glad your coming with me Miss Yei, and the teepee is this way." he finished with a bright smile before indicating the way with a toss of his head.

"Well, I could always act whiney and submissive." she pointed out and drooped her head and ears to prove her point as though she were submitting to the victor. Nevertheless, after a few moments she gave a whicker of amusement and broke into a trot as she headed in the direction that he had pointed towards - she was in no rush otherwise but she would most certainly need him to take the lead eventually...she wasn't all knowing in that respect.

His mood quickly returning to it's usual upbeat pattern, Tai gave a toss of his head and cantered after the red mare, slowing his forward movement but not his pace as he frolicked around her. "Submissive? You? I find that hard to believe Miss Yei!" he said laughingly, dancing forward along the trail.

"So do most people." Yei pointed out as her smile became coy and she allowed her gaze to flick elsewhere, "Admittedly I am not submissive by nature." She confessed as she released a chuckle and at last turned her gaze back towards him so that she might be able to follow the route he had selected to take her in (which would be rather unusual if her suspicions were correct).
"But that does not mean I am not a good actress." She pointed out, her smile becoming a grin as a tiny glint appeared in her eyes. Granted she was not the most submissive of females in the world but her ability to act and play upon a role provided to her allowed her to be whatever she wanted, it came in handy every now and then...particularly when she wanted her own way around Achak.

The golden-brown colt-stallion continued to grin, a mischevious light sparkling in his eyes. "Actress hmm? Well if your up for some fun I suppose we could come up with all sorts of silly things, provided we can both run really fast." he replied with a deep chuckle, slowing to a easy trot as he picked his way off the deer trail and into the deep woods.

Yei's eyes flashed as she took heed of his challenge and after a few moments she released a warm bout of laughter and slowed her gait to sufficient levels - or at least to the extent that she could admire her surroundings and memorise the route to his Teepee in case she needed to drop by at some other point in time.
"You are forgetting that I have lived my entire life in the mountains, running at speed up and down hill is of no problem to me." She cooed silkily and shook her firey mane.
"What fun did you have in mind?" She asked at last.

He returned her laugh and weaved through the thick stand of trees, flicking his long golden tail tauntingly. "Fun, well... lets see." he paused, to round a particularly large tree and waited for her, swishing his tail idly as he thought. "You could always be possessed, and attempt to kidnap the teepee for vodoo magic." he continued seriously, though the glint in his eyes contradicted his tone.

"I don't think I could carry a Teepee on my back." Yei pointed out doubtfully, a wry smile on her equine lips as she released a chuckle and shook her head, "What else have you got in mind?" She enquired as she matched his gait and walked nearby him so that she could hear him over the commotion about her in the trees (ah, the birds could be so talkative when they wanted to be).
"Unless you want me to lie in the Teepee in which case, I'm sure that can be arranged." She added as an after thought and seemed to snigger, Achak would have killed her if she were lying in his Teepee.

"Ah, but your possessed, what you can do and what you think you can do are two totally different things!" he snickered, raising his voice above the birds chatter. "And we're almost there!"

"If I was possessed I would be incapable of thinking logically." Yei glanced at Tai pointedly and released a delicate chuckle as she quickened her pace over a slightly steeper slope so as not to lose her stride, "And I assure you that I am thinking logically at this precise moment in time." She added before shaking her head.
"Now, I think I might advise that you think of an idea quickly or we will never have one by the time we reach the Teepee - " She paused briefly and then flashed a smile, "How about I play dead?"
