"Well...?" was all that Zentsuki offered to Rinkai in the way of a formal 'are you ready to do battle' question. He didn't necessarily move into a better or more defensive or aggressive stance. It wasn't because he didn't have to, it was more because he didn't know what stance he would take.

"s**t...ok ok wait one second!", protested Rinkai as he stumbled back. As Rinkai analyzed Zentsuki he thought, "I guess I should test my new combination..." Rinkai went behind a nearby tree and started goign through hand seals. " TRANSFORMATION JUTSU!!!", yelled Rinkai as a cloud of white smoke appeared. "CLONE JUTSU!!!", yelled Rinkai as a cloud of smoke surrounded him. All of a sudden, Rinkai jumped out from the top of the tree and started running toward Zentsuki with a small toad next to him.

Zentsuki cocked his head to the side, confused, as Rinkai dashed behind a tree. Keeping his wits about him, he watched the now two combatants come at him. A smirk crossed his features as he thought to himself that a toad was a very unlikely companion to summon in battle as well as wondering how he had learned to summon in the first place.
Either way, opponents approaching, Zen flipped his spade back around. The way he spun in and brought it down, the blade dug into the earth and shot a clump of dry dirt in the air as the handle swung around and destroyed it, turning it into a cloud of dust and sand that flew towards Rin and his toad.

Kin stands waiting for Roxas to make his move. "What are you waiting for?" he says. "I'll let you go first."

A puff of smoke appeared between Rinkai and Zentsuki. The dust quickly settled revealing Lari with his arms crossed infront of his chest. "Boys, I don't believe I said go." he said. Lari emitted a short powerful burst of chakra and both student's were stopped in their tracks, as well as Zentsuki's dirt attack and Rinkai's toad.

He goes back to his tree and leans against it. "wake me when your ready," he says. with that he falls into a deep trance state.

"Since one of you isn't ready I guess we will do one battle at a time then." said Lari, looking towards Roxas. His gaze then drifted back towards the two students on either side of him. "Now you two may begin." he said dryly, and with another puff of smoke Lari was back by Tsubaki's side.

Emiko watch them all as she lies under a tree watching and learning new thing she can try to work into her fighting style. So, this is going to be an interesting match to watch if it starts off like it was about to again.

Zen looked around for a moment, slightly confused by the interruption, however it passed quickly when Lari allowed them to continue. Renewing his strategy, he drove his spade's blade into the ground, released it, and flashed together several hand seals, muttering the jutsu he was performing in rapid succession. He knew that he would draw on more than half of his chakra limit for the moment, but it would be worth it if he pulled this off.
"Bunshin, Henge, Henge,"he said quickly under his breath, low enough to not be heard as he grabbed his weapon's handle, lifted it, and slammed it back into the ground with a large puff of smoke that obscured him from view.
When the smoke cleared, Zentsuki was standing with his spade held in a standard attack stance, a hole that wasn't there before hidden in his shadow.

Rinkai smirked as he stopped in his place. The interruption was quickly over as he continued his battle. "Here goes nothing...", muttered Rinkai as he grabbed the toad. "This better freakin work...", snorted the student as he started tilting back his arm. All of a sudden, Rinkai started to focus chakra in his arm and wrist. Seconds later, the Toad started flying toward Zen with amazing speed. With just as much speed, Rinkai started running for Zentsuki. "Brace yourself!"

Zentsuki didn't flinch and barely moved. In fact, he didn't move at all. As soon as the toad was close, the clone vanishes in a small puff of smoke, letting the spade that was being held fall to the ground with a clatter and revealing the hole behind where the clone was.

While he sat in his trance state he began to feel chakra movement coming from the direction of the battlefield."So it has begun," he murmurs to himself.
