Faleen returned, walking slowly as to not still the coffee she held in her hands. watching them closely untill they were set down on the table.
letting out a relived sigh the grunt settled herself down, practically cradling her mug of dark liquid. it took her a moment to realize that Panther wasn't there anymore. "... what happened?"

"Do you mean before or after I lost my dignity over a boy...." She muttered glumly, then looked up at Faleen and gave a heavy sigh. "I was so wrapped up in him, I didn't even notice when you'd walked off to get your coffee. If I can't get this under control, how am I supposed to rise up into the ranks?"
After a moment of thought, she shook her head and laughed. "How about you, Faleen, did you have something like this before?"

Faleen drank fully from her mug, trying to get as much down her throat as she could, so she could wake up sooner.
lowering her mug though as Kofuku asked her a question.sighing a little to get some air and slumped back in her seat.
"Yeah, a couple of times, some guys in my class, they did amazing work, and always got high scours on their projects. i found myself trying to do better in my classes to try and get their attention. seems like such a silly reason to do well in something" shakes her head a little, it had never gotten anywhere, but she remembered the feelings she had.

Kofuku listened to Faleen, then pulled some hair over her shoulder and played with it. After a long period of silence, she broke it again. "Do you think I'm being stupid over all of this? I mean, is it even possible for Rockets to be able to date?"

"I don't see why not" she said, shifting her eyes to look at Kofuku without moving her head up.
"its human nature, we might be a criminal organization, but I certainly think we're more truly human then most out there in the world..." narrows her eyes a little as she looked back to the table. signing and lifting her mug to her lips again.

Looking at Faleen strangely, Kofuku realized that she wasn't the only one with thoughts on her mind. "Hey, what's up? Something on your mind? You've listened enough to my pointless mind-garbage."

peering over the rim of her mug, across to her friend, a breath was exhaled from her lungs as she shook her head softly.
"I've always got something on my mind. its mostly just moral questioning." she replied.

Frowning a little, she reached over and took Faleen's hand. "Hey, if this is second thoughts about being a Rocket..." she looked around, lowering her voice. "You shouldn't worry. One isn't forced into being a Rocket, they are driven. Like me..." Smiling, she gave Faleen's hand a squeeze. "I have more family here than I've ever had my whole life. It sounds totally mushy and lame, but it's true."

her features changed to that of puzzlement, and surprise. shaking her head forcefully and sitting forward a little, shifting her hand under Kofuku's to take a hold of her hand.
"oh no no, there are no second thoughts about being a Rocket. I think this is where both of us belong. its out there I don't trust,"

Blinking a little, Kofuku suddenly laughed, feeling foolish. "Oh, well in that case!" Sighing, she shook her head. "It's ugly in here... but it's even worse out there. At least here we're honest about our sins and corruptions...." Fading out into though, she blinked and snapped back. "Would you mind if I slept over tonight?"

Faleen laughed as well "thats exactly the appeal, there are no masks to hide the ugly here."
raising her eyebrows when Kofuku asked to spend the night. making a small noise as she took one more drink from her coffee.
"uh, sure, if you promise to -sleep-" she said with an amused look to her friend

"Well, what else would I-" She stoped, then laughed. "Sorry, Faleen, I don't swing that way, remember? I like Panter." Getting up, seemingly much calmer than before, she offered her friend her arm. "Shall we?"

Faleen snorted, hald laughing half exasperation, reaching out to swat lightly at Kofuku "thats so not what i meant Kofuku" she said then laughed a little as she rose back to her feet. placing the mug down on the table for her server to take care of.
"you've got more energy then a hyped up Pichu, thats all"
Taking her arm with a tired sigh, placing her other hand down on her friends arm, as she started back out to the quarters
