"You're correct. That was just a test to see how you would react. And you responded accordingly. However, I'm not a Gym Leader without reason. And I'm about to show you why." She reached for another ball, a spark in her eye."Magneton! Let's go!"It emerged much like Magnemite; spinning it's many coils. All three eyes locked onto Golem.
"Let's see what your serious battle entails, then."
"Golem! Earthquake again!""Magneton! In the air!"Magneton rose upward on it's magnetism, avoiding the Earthquake completely.
"Impressive. I thought Magnet Rise was still only known back home.""That's not all. Magneton, Flash Cannon!"The bright flash of energy shot from the six coils of Magneton and homed on Golem, who was still in a ball from the Earthquake, hitting directly.
Golem involuntarily rolled back and slid on it's chest region. Getting back on it's feet, Jasmine quickly followed up."Supersonic!"A loud sound wave emitted from Magneton's coils. Golem covered it's ears, but it was too late. It started rolling aimlessly around the field. Amused for a second at the rolling, Hashire quickly snapped back and returned Golem to its ball.
"Not bad, but this is far from over."

Hashire put Golem's ball into one of his many cargo pockets and reached into another, grabbing another one from it.
"Punchbuggy! Storm the field!"
The brawling beetle that is Heracross appeared out of the mass of light. Pounding its fists together, it was as ready as ever.
"Punchbuggy, take down that Magneton"
It flew up to meet its adversary. "Not so fast. Magneton, Supersonic!""Distort the sound waves with the air vibrations from your wings!"
Punchbuggy turned it's back to the oncoming sound and buzzed its wings, canceling it out. (Yey convenient anime logic)
"Now get in it's face and show that Magneton what for."
Punchbuggy went to continue it's flight path, but turned around to see Magneton in its face."Too slow! Thunderbolt!"Punchbuggy took the hit point blank and fell back to the arena. Visibly injured, it slowly stood back up. Electricity crackled around it's body, showing it had been paralyzed. But this just made it more pumped as its Guts ability activated, boosting its power. Punchbuggy stomped the ground like a Sumo Wrestler to show this wasn't going to stop it. After a few more Thunderbolts were narrowly dodged, Magneton's Magnet Rise wore off. Seeing it descend, Hashire took the chance.
"Close Combat, now!"
Punchbuggy rushed at the descending Magneton."Flash Cannon, quick!"Magneton charged the attack as fast as it could, but it was too late. Punchbuggy rammed it head on with both its fist and horn, sending it flying. Magneton slammed against the metallic wall and fell limp to the floor before being recalled.

"That was good, Ms. Jasmine. I'm impressed that your Magneton managed to injure two of my team to this extent."
He looked at Punchbuggy, who started crackling with electricity again. guts or not, it wouldn't be able to keep up with a fresh enemy.
"Punchbuggy, Disperse."
Hashire said his return phrase as he called his bug back.
"Now then, Ms. Jasmine. Who will your final contender be?" "This Pokemon I've had since I first started training. It's my strongest partner, and the one with the strongest bond. Let's see you get past it!"
"Steelix, Let's go!"The Iron Snake Pokemon rose in a powerful display, easily overshadowing anything Hashire could throw out.
"So it's a snakefight yu want. I'm happy to oblige."
Reaching into another pocket, he pulled out another ball.
"Leviathan! Storm the field!"
The Gyarados known as Leviathan spiraled out from the little ball that encapsulated it. It roared at Steelix, who promptly roared back."Iron Tail, go!"Steelix moved quickly, despite its size and struck out at Leviathan. It struck Leviathan in the midsection, but Leviathan appeared only grazed.
"Counter with Ice Fang!"
Leviathan lightly wrapped itself around Steelix's tail and spiraled up the Snake's body until it reached the neck region and bit down hard. Steelix roared in pain as Leviathan refused to let go.

"Use Sandstorm!" As she said that, a viscous tornado of dirt encircled to two serpentine Pokemon. Leviathan held on as long as it could, but was eventually thrown off; damage dealt from being sandblasted by the storm."Screech!"A horrid sound emitted from the center of the tornado. Leviathan roared out and Hashire covered his ears."Now Rock Throw!Hashire hadn't fully heard what she said and could only look on as a giant rock flew from the storm. Leviathan was unable to dodge it due to the Screech causing it pain. Leviathan slammed into the ground under the rock.
"Mmmph."
Hashire huffed as Leviathan rose from the rubble, covered in dirt and scratches.
"Let's finish this quick. Dragon Dance!"
Leviathan began glowing as it boosted it's strength and speed."Don't let it recover! Screech again!"Leviathan roared out again as the painful sound once again wracked at it's senses, but it was too late. Fully powered up, Leviathan shrugged it off.
"Now Waterfall!"
Leviathan's body immersed in spontaneous water and charged quickly at Steelix. It plowed right through the Sandstorm and struck head on into Steelix.
Steelix roared in pain as it whiplashed into the air before slamming it's head into the ground, defeated.
Jasmine called it back, and the battle was over.

Owwin knew that Bristlecone was a sucker for Gym battles, so he knew exactly where to go. He had entered as the contender's golem fell to a Flash Cannon. "That is some excellent battling isn't it Nimmo?" Professor Phil Bristleone said as Owwin walked up the isle and sat next to him. "You bet your sorry old keister, but I wouldn't count him out. I happen to be a heracross enthusiast, and I think he has this next one."
The professors watched as the challenger's beetle fell. "How about them apples Owwin, she really knows her status effects." "Suck an egg Phil, I'll bet you first choice on interns from this year that the challenger takes the badge." "You're on chump." Owwin focused all of his mental energy into helping the challenger to victory. 'win, win, win, win ,win ,win, DAMN YOU WIN!'
EDIT: "YES! HA! You can go take a dump in the ocean Bristlecone!" "That was a fluke and you know it. That rock throw should have smooshed that flying type." "Oh co cry about it. He won, and that means I won the bet." "Fine but next time we bet at a harder gym. Take your notes." Bristlecone handed Owwin the notes he had come for. "Thank you kindly Coney, talk to you later, but I have a champion to congratulate.
EDIT 2:Owwin donned his best reporter impersonation. "Hile champion, I assume that was your first Jhoto League badge due to the Anne sailing in today. How does it feel to be an ambassador for your country, inquiring minds want to know."

 Zephy had been watching Infernape's face change from study to intrigue to worry to fear over the course of the battle. Steel was a walk in the park, but Sandstorm would cause some trouble.
"Fer...naaape...."
"I know, buddy. We'll have to figure out a way to take her down fast."
She gave him a reassuring pat on the back and left him arenaside while she went to make sure Bulbasaur hadn't eaten her weekend's worth of food.
She found her coat where she'd left it, in the sun beside the gym, but Bulbasaur wasn't on it. She sat down and snapped the tip off a blade of grass, put it to her lips, and whistled - nothing.
"Bulbasaur?" she called out, surprised. No response. It wasn't like him to wander off - he was her first and most loyal Pokemon. Picking up her coat and halfheartedly attempting to wipe the grass stains off the seat of her pants, she returned to the Gym to retrieve Infernape, then set out searching the town for her little green pal. He couldn't have gone far - she hoped.

Ota smiled down at the Slowking he had grown attached to. "Come on, buddy. We're heading to the Lighthouse." Ota said, starting towards the towering building. He knew that the light hadn't been functioning for a while, but didn't know why. Pichu walked alongside him, skipping happily. Slowking sighed with a smile and retreated itself into the it's own Pokeball.

After the battle was over, Hashire recalled Leviathan as Jasmine walked towards him. "...You are a better trainer than me, in both skill and kindness. In accordance with League rules, I confer upon you this Badge."
"Congratulations. You've officially earned your first Johto region badge.""Thank yu kindly, Ms. Jasmine. It was a hard fought battle. I see how yu earned your position."
Hashire stepped out of the arena and was going to make a pitstop to the Pokemon Center for healz, before returning to the Gym to see if there were any more battles.
Along the way, he was met by one of the Professor-like people he had seen talking back when he arrived. It seemed he wanted an interview of sorts.
"Greetings. Yu assume right. This was my first Gym Victory on Johto, with hopefully many more to come. One incorrect statement though, was that I did not come on the S.S. Aqua. I actually Surfed on Leviathan, whom yu saw in battle, from Sinnoh. I originally planned to dock in Vermillion and ride the Aqua, but I ended up missing the ship's departure. That, and I had no ticket money. Those things are impossibly expensive ._."
"Well, I hope I put on a good show. If yu'll excuse me, my teammates need some patching up."
Hashire hurried to the Center and got his team back to speed. As he came out, he saw the same female trainer that he had spotted both outside he Gym and in the Audience. He assumed she would challenge the Gym herself, but now it seemed she was searching for something. He decided to ask her what was the issue.

"Huh must have impersonated a reporter too well." Owwin thought as the winner walked away. He followed him to see where he was going. He was talking to a distressed trainer. Owwin hated to see anybody having trouble.

As Ota made his way up the stairs of the Lighthouse; he heard moans of pain. "Amphy...."; he heard. "I wonder what that is..." Ota said to himself. The Pichu was struggling to keep up with Ota, so he picked up the cute electric mouse when he bounded near him.
"Hmm..." the moaning was getting louder, and Ota was feeling a bit unnerved.

Zephy noticed the Trainer from the gym approaching her, and quickly hid her dirty, overstuffed coat behind her back. When he greeted her and asked her what she was looking for, she turned beet red. How do you tell a professional that you lost your Pokemon?
"Well, I left my friend Bulbasaur outside to enjoy the sun, and when I came back to check on him, he..." she couldn't decide whether she was more worried or embarrassed, "wasn't here..."
She looked around, then began talking again, this time much faster and higher-pitched. "I mean it's not like him, he never wanders off unless he smells Berries, but he would have come when I called, I mean I'm not a bad Trainer, he wouldn't have wanted to run away..." she rambled on like this, talking more to herself than to her acquaintance, as she continued searching frantically.

Hashire quickly realized that the frantic trainer wouldn't be calming down anytime soon.
Thinking logically to himself, he decided that doing this old school was the best choice of action. He reached into one of his pockets and grabbed a ball.
"Jet Tengu, let's go!"
Tossing the ball up, his aerial parter , a Togekiss, popped out.
"Go scan the area for a random Bulbasaur wandering around."
He thought to himself as Jet Tengu took off.
"How hard could it be to find a bright green blob in a dull colored city like Olivine?"

"Ah, thanks," Zephy said as she watched the Togekiss take off. "I'd have sent Chickadee, but she doesn't know the area and I wouldn't want her to get lost." She thought about this for a second, biting her thumb nail. "Wait, aren't you not from around here either? How is your Pokemon gonna find its way back?"
"Um... nevermind." She decided it wouldn't be in her best interest to make him consider recalling it. "My name's Zephy. What's yours?"

"'Did I hear you call Olivine?" Violet asked the trainers who were talking about the missing Bulbasaur. Mime Jr. Was back on her head, drumming playfully on her goggles, like bongos. She smiled at the two. She recognized the girl, having gotten off of the S.S. Anne earlier, and the boy was who just beat Jasmine. Violet got some pretty good pictures of their fight, but now he camera was off, and hanging around her neck.
She sorta heard the girl mentioning his like for berries. "You know, you might want to try the beach" She said, stepping up next to them. She took a vial out of her satchel and uncorked it. "The Shuckle around here make this berry juice" The scent of the juice filed the air around them. It was strong. "If your Bulbasaur likes Berries, he'd love this" She said, waving the vial so they could smell it.
((LPS, you posted as I was posting, so sorry if Violet COMPLETELY interrupted you two. >_< ... That's kinda how she is anyway. Hash, act like I said that, after you introduce yourself to her or something... >_>))

"It's a quick and maneuverable aerial fighter. It'll scan the area for your Bulbasaur and then it will locate myself quickly in the same manner and return, successful or not. But as I said, the color scheme for Olivine is kind of dull, so a bright Green will stand out."
