.: Kat = Adooooorable. :.
She ran over the words in her head. Over and over. What where they again? Oh yes. That was them. Repeat and repeat till you know them well. It was all she did as she dressed herself, painted her lips, combed her hair. With each step down the stairs she grew closer to that moment she had planned since this had all began.
Her lips moved with the words that played in her head. A piece of bread was some how consumed and soon she found herself standing at the bus stop like she did every morning. But today was different. Though she had lost sleep she had done it. She was ready.
The bus rolled to a stop before her and it's doors opened in welcome. The unfamiliar feeling of uneasiness swelled within her before she pushed it away and stepped into the bus. She smiled slightly. She knew what she was doing. This was no time to doubt herself.
Her boots made small thumps as she walked to the empty seat before him. She had been doing this for days now. She threw her things upon the seat and sat against the window. She stared at her fingers for a moment before turning and gripping the top of the seat's back.
Her lips pulled into a smile as she looked at Dmitri. Today had to be a good day. She was going to surprise him today. She had worked hard to get this far in such a short time.
"Доброе утро Dmitri! Нет красивейший день снаружи сегодня?" Her smile widened, hoping she was pronouncing everything correctly, "Oh! Сярприз, я говорю русского теперь. Немного любой путь. Не много, но достаточно я верю для того чтобы получить меня через малый переговор."
.: Oh lord. That is awesome if you put it through a translator. Syarpriz! XDDDD
"Good morning Dmitri! Is it not a beautiful day outside today? Oh! Surprise, I speak Russian now. A little any way. Not much, but enough I believe to get me through a small conversation."
Cause I doubt you'd really want to see the crappy version brought to you by Babel fish. :.

((Lawl, I was proud of myself for knowing the first sentence XD))
Dmitri's morning routine remained the same. He got up early and ran before taking a shower and meeting the bus. He waited in his seat for Juliet to get on, like normal. Or what had become normal. He was rather happy with the new arrangement.
He saw her get on and he smiled as she walked to the seat in front of him. His grin only grew as she spoke up to him. He felt his heart practically skipped a beat. She was speaking Russian.
"Вы делаете очень хорошо! Я настолько счастлив. Я имею кого - то, я могу говорить на русском языке с!" he said, beaming. "You did well! A few minor pronunciation errors, but that's to be expected."
((He said "You are doing very well! I am so happy. I have someone I can speak Russian to!"))

Juliet smiled, sticking her tongue out. "What errors? I think you're making them up. I don't make errors," she teased as she held tight to the seat. She lurched only slightly as the bus pulled forward and away from her home.
"I've been trying really hard to learn it. I figured you'd be pleased. I was up all night doing refresher conversations."

Dmitri somehow couldn't stop smiling. "No, of course not. You're perfect," he replied, leaning forward slightly. "But you did do very vell. I bet not many others could learn that much in that amount of time."

She could feel her face grow warm at his compliment. She had indeed tried hard. But why, she asked herself, there wasn't much of a reason. At least, not one that made sense.
Her face grew closer to his as she leaned forward as well. She wasn't thinking really, just doing.
"Of course I'm perfect. I'm perfect in so many ways," she teased, her smile spreading wide again. Were her lips really that close to his? They weren't that close, she told herself, not... not really anyway.
She could feel it coming. That irresistible urge tugged upon her heart strings. All these things she had done were for this boy, someone she had hardly seen before that day. Hardly took notice of. It was so close to happening.
Her body was pulled back as her hands slipped across the fake leather seat. The bus cried to a stop before the school. Her eyes were open wide as she clung to the inside of the bus, holding herself up from the ground. She had been so close.... to falling. One could take that several ways, she thought, falling to her death? Or her doom? Or just the simple pain of hitting the floor.
Her eyes were wide with shock for another reason as well though. "Did... Did I almost...." she whispered beneath her breath before quickly standing and grabbing her things. She didn't look over in his direction. Her face was too red for that.
"I'll see you in class," she said quickly before rushing out. She just needed to get away from it all.

Dmitri watched her as she neared him. He didn't really realize it right away. It was more of a slow realization, of how close she was and what it could lead to. His smile slowly faltered and his eyes almost widened. He did his best to keep a straight face but it really...surprised him. If that was even the right word. He blinked, staring at her. She was so close now. He could see every detail, every wonderful detail.
He was frozen. Something inside of him cursed, but his mind didn't register. He swallowed, feeling what he thought might have been...
But then the bus stopped. He lurched forward just as she lurched backward, and he quickly grabbed the seat to keep himself from falling any more. He stared down at the seat, the realization suddenly taking full effect.
He looked up at her, rather frantically as she stood and left. He couldn't even say anything. He reached out for her, but she was gone. He retreated and leaned back, staring down at the floor as the rest of the kids began to exit the bus. He couldn't wrap his mind around what had just happened. Or almost happened.

She felt sick to her stomach. It wasn't like she found him repulsing or anything like that. It was just that she hadn't planned for that. Not for these feelings or.... Why was she smiling? She pushed herself up in the chair she had plopped herself in and stopped thinking about anything else. Her fingers came up and pressed against her face as she stared at her reflection within the computer screen before her.
It was true, she was smiling. She let out a laugh before covering her mouth. She was full of happiness. It was an odd feeling for her, since not much happened in her life to make her feel like that. She had just made a fool of herself and she was... happy?
The thought confused her but at the same time renewed the bubbling fountain of joy that seemed to flow within her. In her mind was a picture of him, her thoughts tracing the lines of his face and curves in his hair. Was she... smitten?
Laughing again, she shook her head and ran her fingers through her hair. How odd, she thought as she rested her elbows upon the desktop. Today was going to be interesting. Most likely filled with surprises. Her biggest curiosity was how science was going to go, considering she had him in her class.

Dmitri was the last to get off of the bus. He walked in a sort of daze, staring at the floor, trying to piece together what had happened. He walked blindly into the school, bumping into many different people as he went. His friend tried to get his attention once again, as he was walking, but he didn't hear nor see him. He just walked on to his class and sat down. He stared at the desk and thought.
If it had just been him thinking that they had shared a moment that would be different. But he couldn't have mistaken what had just happened. It wasn't something he could have mistaken. He pouted to himself. She had seemed upset. It bothered him. Did she not like him? Was she disappointed in herself?
Perhaps he was over analyzing things. He sighed and let his head slide down onto his desk. He didn't know what to think about it.

Frick, she thought as she bounced her leg up and down, I can't focus. It was just ten minutes before the bell rung. Before she had to see him. What was she going to do? How was she to act? A scream echoed in her mind as she rested her head in her hands and tried to breath out her stress. It wasn't working.
It was a possibility that he didn't even notice. Maybe nothing would be different. With a sigh she stood and the bells rung in the hall. She would be like she always was, she decided as she gathered her things and strode to the doomed classroom. If she acted different he would know something was stressing her. All she wanted as to get through the day. Just make it pass this issue.
She climbed the steps and found herself at the room's doorway. She couldn't hold back the smile that pressed from inside as she walked in and set her things down upon her desk. He wasn't there yet, she thought to herself.

Dmitri trudged through the hall. He hadn't spoken a word to anyone yet since that morning with Juliet. He knew he was going to see her in class. He considered just bringing it out in the open, telling her exactly what he felt, asking her what exactly had happened. But he knew he wouldn't. Not only did he feel like he wasn't brave enough, he felt like it would just make things worse.
He let out a sigh, pausing just outside the door. He gathered his wits and stepped into the classroom. He walked to his seat, doing a fairly decent job keeping a straight face. He even kind of smiled as he passed her. He set his things down and sat. The pounding in his ears was rather distracting...

She brought her head up to look at him after he passed, her eyes catching the tail end of his shirt. She heard his sit in his seat and smiled to herself before turning around in her seat to look at him.
"Cutting it kinda short don't you think?" she asked, shooting a glance at the clock. Seconds after she said it the bell rang aloud once more and the hallways grew silent.
"Just a little slow today, hm?" she added with a smile.

Dmitri glanced up at her, immediately feeling his face grow warm. He suppressed the feeling, however, and forced himself to focus on the conversation. If this was how he acted whenever he almost kissed a girl, he was never going to get a girlfriend.
"Yes, I suppose I was," he replied with a slight smile. "Slow Dmitri today. Darn. I better feex zhat. Especially vhen I run after school and...stuff..."

"Yes, I don't think your coach will like you running slow. I mean come on, I thought you were the fastest."
She smiled before the teacher said something and she was forced to turn towards the front. Once she was looking at him no longer her face warmed and the gentle smile grew. This is ridiculous, she thought as she sat that smiling. She felt so silly being this happy.

Dmitri lowered his head on the desk as the teacher began talking. He was so distracted, he could hardly look at the teacher. He was staring at the back of Juliet's head most of the time.
"Dmitri.....Dmitri.....DMITRI!"
His head shot up from the desk as the teacher yelled his name. He stared up at the eyes glaring at him.
"Um...yees?" he said, rather nervously.

Miss Koffman stared at him with a confused look before continuing with her question.
"What joins with the substrate in order to begin a reaction?" she asked as she crossed her arms and smiled, pointing to the answer on the board.
Juliet felt like turning around to look at Dmitri but she knew it would be for the worse and... quite possibly awkward. Instead she rested her chin on the desk and waited. Thankfully Miss Koffman was a kind woman... giving him the answer and all.
