Gabrix

The spectral creature had surprised him, sending his mouth agape. It had passed on the information he had been seeking during his travel to the Heir's town, or so he had now learned. The searing metal feeling that passed through his nerves hurt, and he instinctually grasped his arm. It was gone by the time it had come though. When he was told he was to be the First he couldn't believe it, but this thing didn't seem to be joking. He turned and watched the other followers, rather his followers, file in. There were quite a number of them already, and that was definitely a good thing.

Galbrix thought the moment called for a speech, but he couldn't think of anything to say for long moments. Finally words came to him though, as looked upon the groups of people, an army waiting to form. He started in his elderly voice, making it grow strong as he could.

"We were followers of The Shadow. We still are as of this moment. While The Shadow may be gone, humans and his ideals still hold to the land and its people. We are here to uphold The Shadow's ideals and crush humans into the ground beneath our armies. We shall need more than we have here, but I think for now this will do. Let me say that I have been informed of a group that could halt our progress, perhaps even destroy what it is The Shadow worked for. They are the reincarnates of the same group that killed The Shadow. We shall not let His death be in vain, shall we?" Here the masses booed and jeered. "Then get back to work, for by the end of this week I expect to have an army readied!"

They left, as Galbrix had commanded. It felt nice to have power, to have people listen to him. He spun back around to look at the throne, wishing he could dare climb those stairs... He would in time, but not until he earned it. The first step to that throne would be to train that mob killers into a unified attack force, equiped with shields and armour and all the weapons an army needs. Then those reincarnates would be the next to go...

A flying knife that impaled their king was what heralded Koji Kasshin's arrival. He was unnaturally skilled... as well he should be. A 267 year old vampire didn't make it that far without inhuman skills. He landed softly in the King's throne room. The Honor Guards rushing to attack him. Without seeming to move, he hit the first in the diaphragm with an open palm, the man's body seemed to quiver for a second before it flew across the room. He walked forward nonchalantly and mercilessly slit all their throats within what seemed like a heartbeat. He moved quickly, he was young for a vampire, but had the traits of a much older, more experienced vampire. He was the best. And only the best worked for the Shadow. He pulled his knife out of the King and slit his throat. He wiped the blood off with the King's robes and ripped his eye out. He put it in a pouch and would show the Shadow proof of his kill. He needn't have bothered though, everyone in the realm knew he never missed his man. Ever.

SHEBA

As Sibelius spoke Sheba smiled slightly, it would be good to have such a cheerful personality on the mission with them. Her smile quickly faded though, as the Assassin clearly had no intention of staying. "They'll kill you," she said grimly, not as a threat, but as a sad warning. "As soon as I awaken the true powers of the Warriors, you will be marked, you will be targeted, and you will face a never ending onslaught of attacks. Even if you will not fight for us, come with us. No matter how powerful you may be, you do not stand a chance against an entire army. And you will surely be picked off first, being alone and separated." She took a step towards him. "Do not leave the humans to die..." she said sadly, her brow knitting together in a pittiful expression of sorrow. "We need you. We need every single one of you... or we will be broken and weakened," she stated. "We need you," she repeated, hoping he would accept the prince's suggestion.

KOJI KASSHIN

Koji walked into the maw that was the castle's grand hallway. It was very big, and intimidated most, but Koji wasn't most. He walked into the broad daylight outside and saw guards charging in through the doors to where they had heard the sounds of battle. Koji mentally kicked himself for that, he needed to get his edge back, it wasn't good for the best assassin in the world to be caught. He disappeared in a portal of shadow that left him invisible. He really needed to find a girl called Lilith, he had orders for her.

[Hey, booncj, you think you can tell me where your beautiful character is? I didn't feel like reading all three pages yet, so yeah...]

((she's searching for any traces of the Warriors. I was going to have her re-appear when their powers awakened, but I can have her come back earlier. Also, I wanted to ask, what king did you kill? The human king?))

KOJI KASSHIN

Koji leaped from rooftop to rooftop, assassins chasing him. He flipped and corkscrewed in the air, appearing frozen in time as he threw the knives, of course it was just his eyesight, when he wanted it to, he could see things in slow motion. He aimed three throwing knives, he threw them. The first caught an assassin, the second did too, and the third shattered the window on top of the building. The bodies fell in and Koji grinned, he landed safely and walked over to the edge of the stained glass panel they had fallen in. He saw there bodies, crumpled and lifeless, at the bottom. He jumped off the roof and found himself face to face with Lilith. "I've got orders."

{{No one really, just kind of a regional king, I just wanted a badass entrance. He has no plot in the storyline whatsoever.}}

Lilith

Lilith raised one arched eyebrow, giving Koji a quizical look. "Oh?" she questioned, her voice ringing clearly. She surveyed the damange he had done. "You got caught? You used to be so sneaky, losing your touch perhaps?" she breifly changed the subject, one corner of her mouth curling into a playful smirk. The drow then waved a hand dismissively. "I thought you'd be more surprsied to see me, since I've been imprisoned for so many years," she let out a short chuckle. "I guess nothing shocks you, though, does it?"

She almost shuddered, thinking about all those years she'd been in the stone, then realized that perhaps he didn't even know about it. He wasn't there in the room when The Shadow was killed after all. She would have thought he'd heard about her being cursed by that damned witch and bound to the pillar in the throne room, but he wasn't really one to chat and gossip, so it wasn't alltogether surprising if he handn't heard of her misfortune at all. "Well," she twirled he staff non-chalantly in her right hand, twisting it between her fingers so it flipped over on itself repeatedly. "What orders have you got?"

KOJI KASSHIN

Koji was a hairsbreadth from slitting her throat, a heartbeat from ending her life, but other feelings pushed through. There once was a time when he... stop it, he told himself. He looked her from head to toe, he remembered her clearly. The only mission he had ever failed, was to kill her, and that was because she happened to be his one weakness. "You're coming with me. I'm still good enough to do that, and not get imprisoned in stone, helpless as the Shadow is killed," he knew that would hurt her, although she wouldn't show it. He gestured to a portal that opened, "after you, after all... we have a... history together." He waited for her to step through, and just as he drew a knife a guard walked around the corner. Koji flicked his wrist and the knife flew straight and true, hitting the guard in the throat, the snake venom on the tip killing him in eight seconds. "Go."

Lilith

Lilith's teeth gritted together as he spoke. "I didn't see you defeat the Warriors," she said sharply, her tone the only indication that his statement had gotten under her skin. She wasn't sure if she would have walked through the portal under normal situations, but today was not a normal day. As Sly had said... the Shadow was returning. Today, at least, she would behave. After all, she wouldn't want to cause any uneeded trouble for the new Shadow, and soon to be ruler of the land. He would be dealing with more imporant things on this glorious day. Not to mention she was in a good mood, finally being freed from the stone. Her muscles felt slightly stiff, which was to be expected from her situation over the last... she didn't even know how long it had been. Time had blured together, since though her body was captive, her senses were awake.

So Lilith just let out a mocking laugh as she moved towards the portal. She'd do as she was told, but she didn't have to be civil about it. "Yes, sir," she said sarcastically, after she had watched Koji's latest victim slump to the ground, lifeless. She moved through the portal without glancing back.

KOJI KASSHIN

"b***h..." muttered Koji she had walked through, he couldn't believe he had ever loved her. He shook his head. He smiled and closed the portal. She would find herself in a prison of his own making until he let her out, which, unfortunately, couldn't be long. He couldn't have her getting in the way of his next kill. He went to the informant's house. "You want me to kill a high ranking noble serving beneath the Shadow?" He asked condescendingly. The man wasn't worthy of Koji's services, so his life ceased. Koji opened another portal and walked through, appearing on the free side of the magical cell he had put Lilith in. "Luckily you're worth something, so I'll let you out. But if you ******** up and the Shadow dies, again, I will kill you, and I won't hesitate this time." He released the bars and reveled in his control. He loved winning, especially against her.

Lilith

Lilith scowled darkly at him. If he hadn't been The Shadow's prize assassin she was sure they would have had a death-match by now. She took a deep breath, calming herself of the urge to slit his neck as he'd slit those of his enemies. Her tongue slowly licked her lips and she stepped towards him, so they were only inches away. "He wouldn't have died to begin with if you'd done your job and killed his enemies." One hand moved to rest on his shoulder and her other hand sat upon her hip. She leaned closer so her lips were beside his ear. "The Warriors are back. Do your job right this time," she said. She wouldn't back down and concede to his control. He may have power, but so did she. She was... moderatly certain she could take him in battle, and she was second in command to The Shadow himself, some nerve he had challenging her!

KOJI KASSHIN

"You assume too much. First, my first loyalty lies to my business, not a 'second' Shadow. Second, I failed to kill you, not his enemies. Third, you get this close again, and you will be castrating on the floor." He was sure he had gotten his threats through, he rested his hand on her shoulder, and looked her in the eyes. Cold and dark like his own, but a hint of love, maybe not for him, more likely for the dead Shadow. He could definitely use that to his advantage one day. He moved his hand down to her waist, and kissed her. Not the way he would kiss a girlfriend or a wife, more like a goodbye kiss. He let her go and began to walk away.

Lilith

Lilith froze in shock at the kiss, which was rare for her. Her first reaction to thinks that shocked her tended to be 'kill it' not 'stand frozen in place in surprise'. She hadn't expected it in the slightest, and had thought it more likely that he would have attempted to kill her then and there. Clearly that was not the case. She recovered only moments after he began walking away. She knew from h is words that he couldn't trust him to do what was beneficial to the new Shadow, and so as he moved away, his back towards her, she warned, "I'll be keeping an eye on you."

She watched him for a few more seconds before turning in the other direction and stepping through a portal she summoned up. There was a lot of work to do to make everything perfect for the new Shadow, and not enough time to do it in. She stepped out where she had first seen Koji. "It begins again," she muttered, already feeling a dedication to the new Shadow burning inside of her.

KOJI KASSHIN

Koji showed up at the new Shadow's castle. He snickered at the fact that he had shocked her, he rarely did anyhting like that, and it filled him with joy to catch her off guard. Of course he could have killed her, but killing her would actually hinder his plans. He was sure she still felt something for him, and he could probably get her to fall unwittingly into his trap. He smiled, another rare thing, today was becoming a rare day. He walked in and killed a Shadow Guard, one of the most elite positions a Shadow soldier could get. Not a single Shadow soldier knew he existed, and that was because he killed every one of them he came across, that was what kept him alive and unbound. If they were ordered to hunt him down, they would have no idea what he looked like. Unfortunately, if it came to that, he would have to kill Lilith as well. "Yes, master," he could barely keep the disdain for the man out of his voice. He respected the dead Shadow, hell, he had been stronger than Koji, thats why Koji served him faithfully, but this kid didn't deserve s**t from Koji.
