I agree with you guys on how light works. Some things absorb light, others reflect it, and some just absorb certain parts of it.
I do think you were a little hard on Itachi though.

Still, it's basic science.

I usually come off as harsher than I intend. I don't know if its my word choice for tone. But tone translates very poorly over the computer....

Still, light and darkness are natural phenomenon and no matter what "spiritual" meaning we give them it will still always be inaccurate to their nature because what's spiritual is also always subjective while light is empirical.

Light and Darkness represents the balance tween to things.
Light which the abcense of shadow and darkness which is the abcense of light. to me it represents the god and goddess. Sun and Moon. Deity for short.

Tenrai Kado Light and Darkness represents the balance tween to things. Light which the abcense of shadow and darkness which is the abcense of light. Could light mean the absence of shadow if shadows aren't being admitted? =o?

does an empty glass balance a full glass?
it doesn't feel that way to me.
i do not understand why the full glass somehow needs the empty glass.

You need the sun to keep the earth from falling but if it was only sun the earth will be pulled into the sun. That's where moon come in. To pull against the earth to keep it in balance. Also in good and evil. You can't have good. With out someone doing evil. With out evil what will be good.? With out good what will be evil?

What? Without the moon, the only difference there would be on earth is that there wouldn't be tides, also the earth is already "falling" into the sun, that's how it orbits, and by the same gesture the moon is falling into the earth. You should really brush up on your astrology and physics.
