Dhati heard her name and then just looked around. Geesh females, he was going to be surrounded by them! The thought annoyed him slightly but he would soon grow and things and yeah.. either way he would let the girls talk and keep out the way, he suddenly felt rather ill, may have been from lack of food.

(( Thank you Tahja! I think I'll wait to 'grow' her in rp until after this, or until when we do a little time lapse. 3nodding
And it's no prob Tahja, I know what a pain a job is. Two must be even worse!
Can't wait to see Dhati as an adol Remove. wink Would you like me to wait until he's grown before growing Haiji? I wasn't sure if he was supposed to be older or not? ))
Noticing the other dog eyeing the river, Haiji encouraged her to join them. "It's not very deep." She called. "And I don't see any crocs. Dhati and I crossed it before, further back. Otherwise we can keep going on a while and see if it gets shallower." The juvenile wondered whether it was the right time to be taking a commanding air. But she didn't want to lose a pack member so soon after joining her, and it was the dog's life at risk. She would let her make the choice.
Ah but now she knew her name! "Welcome then, Ujuzi, to our little troupe." She grinned and licked her maw in a friendly way. "It'll certainly be more interesting as more dogs join us..." She began, speaking as if she was on a journey to collect members, which was true in a way. "But I want to know you all. Dhati's already told me about himself, he can repeat it for you if he likes. But would you share with us your tale? And I'll tell you mine." She seemed to grin more as she said the last bit. Her tale, she now knew, was about the reforming of the pack and her newfound inheritance of it.
Glancing over to, what she beginning to consider, her new second in command, she noticed his luggish look. "Hey, you ok Dhati? Have a drink if the heat's getting to you. That's why I thought to stick to the river. If we are to travel far today, maybe even tomorrow, a constant supply of refreshment is a very fortunate thing to have."

A slender frame fell into view, her ebony and cream pelt mixed with beige patterns. Her sapphire eyes looked to the others and widened, for she had yet to find others of her kind. She wasnt aware that others like her existed around here. Barking quietly, she walked towards the female, ears swivelling curiously.

Haiji approached Dhati, sniffing cautiously and looking a little concerned. "We can sloe down. Perhaps find a place to lay up for tonight." She nodded. She would have to drive them, get the 3-dog group moving if they were to find others but she couldn't afford to be slowed down by illness and fatigue.
As she waited to Ujuzi to decide if she was going to cross over the river and join them, the juvenile dog spotted the approach of another older female. Watching her, Haiji waged her tail slowly. "Hello!" She called out.

He raised his head a hope that it may be a male dog, "Darn.." He whispered really quietly before lowering his head and laying down. Well as this seemed to be a nice meeting spot then it was good enough for him to lay down and pretend to sleep, oh yes, sleeeeeeeeeep... It didn't take long for the young dog to be fast asleep after all he hadn't had a proper rest in days!

Mataka cocked her head curiously. Half in wonder she walked closer to the three. So there were others right? Smiling faintly, she looked up to Haji and Dhati with wide orbs, shining in hope. "Hello!" She said happily, bouncing up eager to talk.

Her cousin muttered something to himself but it was too quiet for Haiji to hear. Instead she merely flicked an ear in his direction and a quick glance revealed he'd decided to take a snooze. Well, so long as he got up if and when she decided to continue then that was ok.
For now the new arrival was much more interesting. This one seemed eager to greet them with the way she bounded over. "Welcome to the group! Well I say group, we've only recently meet each other ourselves. "I'm Haiji, this is my cousin Dhati and that's Ujuzi." She nods her head to the other two as she introduces them, smiling. "And who are you?"

"Hmm," Ujuzi replied, nodding as well to the newcomer. She'd answer Haiji's request in a few moments, but for now she didn't want to interrupt the introductions and getting to know the newcomer.

Mataka stopped dead for a moment, looking over the three with her curious dark blue eyes. "Well hi there, you three!" She giggled slightly as she continued to walk, closer to Haiji with a smile. "You seem to be travelling?" Cocking her head as before she continued. "What is this "group?" She seemed eager for knowlege of these others, as she had never spoken to, nor seen other wild dogs since her youth.

Flicking an ear as her request for the newcomer's name was ignored, Haiji shruged it off. Well, perhaps she didn't want to go about introducing herself as soon as she met strangers. Instead she thought on the question the cream and black dog posed.
With a glance to Ujuzi, because she might also be interested to know, Haiji drew herself up proudly. Well as much as she could since the other two females were slightly older than her. They weren't the heir of a legendary pack though, were they?
"This group, is actually the beginning of something much bigger. Have you ever heard of the Hamaji? A wild dog pack of old, which my mother and Dhati's father were members of. Well, I've decided to rebuild it."

"Oooh, yeah, sorry, My name is Mataka, by the way!" Bouncing on her paws a little she settled to look at Haji with a raised brow, or an expression that would suggest something like that. "Hmm!!" She said, her eyes lighting up curiously. "Nope!" She shook her head. "Don't think I've ever heard of it!" God this dog was over-animated. She looked around slowly. "Nice place, here though, huh, whatcha think?!" She smiled widely. She was simply being friendly, though others found her irritating.

Ujuzi was just a little put off by the exciteable female that had joined them now. She asked a lot of questions, she spoke without restraint, both things Ujuzi rather naturally had a distaste for. Flattening her ears back, the older wild dog stood her ground and listened to the exchange. The Hamaji?
"Hamaji, you say? My father used to tell my littermates and I stories about them when I was just a pup. I was told that they were nothing but legend."
She had no reason to doubt Haiji, and it wasn't her intention to step on anyone's toes, insult, or rile up. She was simply stating what had once been said to her, and acknowledging that she had heard of this rumored pack even if only through sleeptime stories.
And their parents were a part of t his troupe? Then, by Dhati and Haiji being cousins, that would mean that the parents were of the same litter, made sense. Ujuzi had no idea of the timeline since everyone spoke of the pack as if they were decades old, but intuition said that Haiji spoke the truth.
Once again, Ujuzi looked to Dhati, who wasn't looking any better than before.
"Perhaps we should find food. Dhati does not look so well and I haven't eaten since mid-day yesterday, myself. With four of us it would be easy to bring down larger prey, as you mentioned, Haiji." She directed her gaze to the newcomer, who by all rights and respect was probably going to clash with Ujuzi's personality, or be attracted by and to it. "My name is Ujuzi."
((Big post xD see? Promised to make up for the skimpy one and I did!! XD))

((im so bad..))
Dhati looked up and smiled, he really wasn't feeling well and the idea of food water and rest sounded to him like heaven. "PLease let us do a hunt, there are four of us, we could bring something big down even if a couple of us are small.. I really need food I haven't eaten for a while." Dhati looked at all the females and then said something really stupid, "You all know how to hunt right? Father never taught me to, he said females do things more often then us.. but I did teach myself!" he raised his head all proud like even though he could have just insulted the other three, its amazing what hunger can do to you!
