Zeke laughed a bit more as he watched Will spiral downwards, it was like watching a train wreck, you wanted to look away but you couldn't it was only a matter of time before the girl crashed and burned, It was clear that Zeke was going to win; well he kind of cheated, but it wasn't his fault he was a witch (Warlock?). "Chug chug chug chug" At this point the rest of the bar was chanting along with Zeke; who stopped every once in a while to take a few large mouthfuls of the liquid in the bottle that he was holding. Keeping in pace with Will, due to easily being able to drink more then Will per mouthful. he then opened his own next bottle and continued to drink. "Oi Sheila ya Mates' here now" He said laughing a bit; somehow he had managed to hear the girl known as Cypress over the crowed.

Will slammed the second bottle down. If possible, that one must have burned more than the last!
"A AIN'T DOONE WIT' YOOU YET YA 'EAR ME A'M GONNA KICK YER a** A' T'A GAAM O' DRINKIN, BEAT'IN YER CLACKERS AN MAAKE YE ME b***h!!!" she shouted over the roar of the crowd.
Then she noticed that a familiar voice had shouted her name. She swung her head over to look to this voices direction, swaying as she did, and grinned. "Ey~Shaipruss!!" she slurred.
Oooohhhh yeah. Sheeee was drunk.
"'uld on uh shuc, 'm jus gonna beat 'is ******** an' we can ge' baack ta...." she was trying to remember what they'd come here to do. "Candied Island~!" she said, deciding that must be what they were there for!
She opened the last bottle and shoved it against her mouth, eagerly obeying the will of the crowd that chanted that ever-so-familiar call!

Sometimes, Rydel forgot that not everyone was as much of a pushover as he was. He’d do absolutely anything for Seven, no questions asked. Many people would call this unhealthy—Rydel himself acknowledged that it wasn’t much of an arrangement –but he had his reasons. And so the thought of busting in guns blazing and pulling both Seven and Will from the bar sounded like an impossible dream to him, and he returned Cypress’ wide-eyed stare with one of his own.

Of course, it all became a little more real when she grabbed him by the sleeve and tugged him into the bar. Ah well. On the bright side, she didn’t have Seven’s Grip of Death. This was actually pretty relaxing, considering what he was used to.

The size of the crowd almost paralyzed him. He wasn’t good with crowds. And he was even worse with noise! And this place had both! So he was a bit on edge while the both of them edged toward the drink-off, Cypress screaming her partner’s name as they went.

“Seven, perhaps we ought to…” He began once they got close enough to be within earshot, but stopped when he actually saw his partner—giggling like a wild woman at the other side of the bar while doing some kind of improvised tap dance on one of the tables. He blinked.
“Good lord. She’s plastered…”

"WILL! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!?" Cypress shrieked right next to Will's ear. Partly it was to be heard over the crowd, partly okay, mostly it was to get back at her partner for ditching her for a drinking contest.

Cypress may not have inherited her sister's lovely singing voice, but that didn't mean she didn't have a set of lungs. She could scream like a banshee given the situation.

Seeing that Will was sufficiently, mostly, completely drunk off her a**, Cypress rounded on the competitor, only to find that Australian stranger from earlier.

"YOU!" she barked, "WHAT IN DEATH'S NAME IS WRONG WITH YOU!? Meeting a barely-legal, foreign girl on the street and five minutes later challenging her to a drinking contest and getting her completely SMASHED!! What kind of creeper move is THAT supposed to be!" she slammed her hands on the table for emphasis, jostling the bottles and glasses on it, "How old ARE YOU!? PERVERT!"

Cypress was literally fuming, though the smoke couldn't be seen clearly amongst the clouds let off by the numerous bar patrons with cigarettes. She threw an accusing glare at the crowd gathered around the table, only to see Seven's pink hair bobbing up and down over their heads as she danced about, just as wasted as Will.

Lightning-quick, Cypress's glare was fixed back on Zeke with laser intensity. "AND WHAT ABOUT HER!?" She thrust her arm, which was dangerously close to transforming into an axe head in Seven's direction, "SHE'S UNDER AGE, EVEN IN BRAZIL!"

She actually had no idea how old Lucky Seven was, just that she was old enough to attend Shibusen, but not anywhere near old enough to drink.

"Ye Mates the one that Got the Sheila Hammered, Not me; so don't Ye call me a pervert; Ye over protective; Dog" He said crossing his arms after finishing yet anothet bottle.

The Aussie seemed to somhow snap out of his Drunken Stuppore and be as good as normal. "T'at and I suggested that the Sheila stop a number O' times, so Don't he bark at me" He then looked back at will who looked as though she was about to pass out. "I tol' er She didn't look too fine and aught to stop" He said before looking back to Cypress. Cypress's eyes narrowed at Zeke. "What the hell. You're not even drunk."

If logic applied to Angry Cypress's world at all, she probably would have conceded to the Australian man and pushed Will out of the bar, but no. In Cypress's mind, the word "cheater" got added under "pervert" and "*****," she stared down Zeke with a sinister glint in her eyes, "You're not off the hook." She'd find something else to blame him for later. 'Til then, she turned on Will.

"What were you thinking, giving Seven SHOTS!? Oh, that's right. You weren't thinking. BECAUSE YOU'RE DRUNK." Cypress slapped the back of Will's head, "What the hell were you playing for that's SO important, you'd jeopardize the whole reason we came here for by giving yourself (and Seven) the mother of all hang-overs and becoming a shitty fighter! I WILL NOT HAVE THAT GOD-AWFUL BUS RIDE BE IN VAIN."

Will came out of her chug, 3/4ths into her bottle.
"Awh! Laigh'en uup lass! A bun drinkin since A wuss sixtaan!" she laughed, waving her arm around wildly. Then, arm still held up in the air, she got right back to it. She downed the last, winceing as soon as she removed the bottle from her lips. The crowd gave an even louder cheer as she finished.
She could have sworn the burn was getting more and more inense- BUT SHE LOVED IT!!!
So much, that the arguement between her partner and Zeke didn't even register!
But in response to Cypress's rant and smack to the head she slurred, "A din' givver nu'n'- t'a lass took i'ershulf! An fer yer infermashun t'is is faight fer me Irish praide! Na' ta menshun 'ooe'er passes oot farst ge's t'a slip!" By slip, of course she meant check.
Looking next to her, she saw a man passed out on the ground, a half empty bottle in his limp hand. She grinned deviously and swiped it.
"Waaste na' wan' na'!" she said, throwing her head back and downing the starnger's booze. Whatever it was- it had a hell of a kick!!!
"KAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!" she belted out laughing.

"An' I jus' stomach my Grog better then ye' Mate here" He said in response to Cypress's comment about him being drunk. He then opened his last bottle and poured one shot, and downed the rest of the bottle in one attempt not coming up for air. "If Ye' think I'm a cheat take the' Shot and see its real" He said offering the Shot to Cypress. "If Ye' Dun want it; i'll Glug it meself" He said laughing.

Cypress scowled at the drink as though it contained the insanity of the Kishin itself... and insulted her mother... and if someone had spat in it.

"No. Thanks." she replied through gritted teeth. She probably wouldn't have been able to taste it over the sickly-sweet, smoky flavor that had saturated the inside of her mouth. Also she was pretty sure she nearly burnt her own tongue off, and if she knew anything about alcohol (even then, it wasn't much) she knew enough that trying that would hurt like a b***h.

Also it was against her morals. Yeah, that too.

She turned back to her partner. She hadn't really been paying attention to Will, as she had a hard enough time comprehending her accent as it was. The added slurring caused by the alcohol wasn't helping. 'Fright..? Parade...? I know I heard Irish in there... Jest..? Guest..? Gets! Get's the what..?'

While Cypress had given up talking (momentarily) she looked like she was trying to burn holes through Will's head with her eyes as she deciphered the booze-soaked gibberish.

'Gets... The... Sip--Sip--Slip!?' While she may have gotten the words right, it didn't help much with the unfamiliar slang. It wasn't until the question passed through Cypress's mind that she finally figured out what was going on. The question being 'Who's paying for all of this?'

"G-Gets the slip..! GETS THE SLIP!?" she whipped towards the bottles littering the "arena" as though seeing them for the first time, "Will, I thought you said you left all of your money at home!!"

"NYOINK!" she said in a little outburst, snatching the shot that Cypress refused from Zeke's hand.

"Me muneh? Ummmm..." Will rolled her eyes up at the ceiling, in deep thought. 'Muneyy.... muneyy..... OH!' Her eyes did a little blink of realization, but was too drunk to do more than that.
"Uhyea... i'ssall buck un Doolin..... AHHH! DOON' WARRA BOOT I'!!! A AIN' GONNA LOOSE TA DI BOGGER!!" she laughed with a dopey grin. She was completely unaware of his not-drunkenness.
All that was there was gung-ho, reckless Will Grady!
With that she downed the shot. She was swaying a bit, but she was fighting to keep herself up.

"We are missing out on Grog, here" He said laughing a bit looking at Will who looked as though she was going to topple over. "Ya okay lile Sheila?" He asked looking at Will, before turning to Cypess. "Ya mate always this determined t'a win?" He asked tilting his head to the side slightly. "Or is' this here an odd situation?" He asked looking back at will.

________

Rydel was still a tad shell-shocked. This was farther out of his element than he cared to go. Even the casinos that Seven had frequented back as Vegas were less crowded, and less noisy than this. She liked the rich ones. The ones that actually vacuumed their floors and gave penthouse suites to big winners. Of course, as ten year-olds, they weren’t eligible, nor could they actually gamble. Seven would fake being the child of some high-roller to get in, but all their money would be made outside, playing quick fifty-fifty games on the street with random suckers. Seven always won. He always lost. After a while, Seven had requested he stop playing altogether and made him her official bag carrier.

He remembered being very nervous back then. And not like normal nervous either. Seriously nervous. He’d literally start shaking and hiding behind things, and he couldn’t speak without stuttering. In larger crowds, he couldn’t speak at all. Seven used to tease him back then, and say he acted like a mouse or a scared cat or something like that. He’d been too on-edge to care. But eventually as he got older, his eyesight improved and his stutter took care of itself, and he slowly became quite a bit more comfortable with actual society. But this was just nerve-wracking. As far as he’d come from being a spastic little bundle of nerves in the formative years, this was truly starting to bother him.

“Rydel!” Came a very familiar voice. A very familiar, very angry voice.
He turned to see Seven climbing down from the table, her face red as an overripe tomato.
“What are you doing here? You’re too young to be in a place like this!”

Says the girl of his same age, who had been drinking in the first place.

He blinked dumbly back at her.
“Y-you aren’t drunk?” He managed to stammer out after a long pause.

She rolled her eyes.
“No, of course not. Good gracious, Rydel, I figured that by now you’d be able to tell whether I was drunk or not. I didn’t hurl or anything!”

“Well, in my defense, you were tap dancing on a table…”

At this, she burst into thunderous laugher.
“Oh, you naïve little boy, since when do I need an excuse to tap dance on a table? It’s like you don’t know me at all!”

He didn’t respond this time, instead looking down at the floor. That tended to be his default reaction in situations like this. A look of recognition flashed across Seven’s features. Awww, she knew that look. The poor thing was nervous. All fidgety and stuff. Must be the crowd. He never had done well those. She frowned and gently took his hand—a nice little improvement over snagging him by the upper arm over and over again—and started to pull him toward Cypress, Will, and Zeke.

“We’re gonna leave soon.” She said, her tone oddly comforting for someone who was usually so energetic. She turned back to him, giving him an almost apologetic smile.
“I promise. Then we’re gonna get that Kishin. And then we're gonna go home, and you can read or knit or do whatever you want all day without any disturbance, okay?”

He gave her a faint smile in return, and nodded in response.

Cypress looked up from her bewildered gaping to Seven. She blinked in surprise at her sudden lucidity, but her words registered and she glanced over at Rydel. Finally recognizing his obvious discomfort, her anger at Will subsided (temporarily, and even then, not much) and she felt guilty at having dragged the poor kid into the bar in the first place.

Her eyebrows knit in concern and she sent him an apologizing look. Her younger sister was always incredibly shy. More mature than most adults, but panicky in crowds and very, very quiet. Rydel actually reminded her of her sibling, but even Angry Cypress knew better than to voice that particular thought out loud. She nodded to the duo.

"You go on ahead--find a place to crash for the night. ...Before our buddy, Will, here drinks all our hotel money away..." she hissed the last part to Will in startling contrast to the motherly tone she spoke to Seven with.

Letting them do their thing, she turned fully to Will and jostled her seat in an attempt to get her to sit up straight.

"Listen up!" she announced to her partner in an authoritative voice, "I don't give a damn about your pride as an Irishwoman or your pride as a Grady or whatever. We're here on a mission. This is business."

Cypress shook Will's chair to punctuate the important phrases as she made her speech.

"And because this is business, we're going to be professional and mature about this ordeal you've gotten us into," She lowered her head next to Will's while narrowing her eyes at Zeke from across the table, "You're going to drink, Will Grady. You're going to drink like you've never drank before!" With surprising force, Cypress shoved Will's chair towards the table, "FOR SHIBUSEN!!" she shouted.

"I'm not going to have you ruin the pride of our school as well as our stay in Brazil! YOU'RE EITHER GOING TO WIN, OR DIE OF LIVER CIRRHOSIS IN THE PROCESS! DRINK THIS CREEP UNDER THE TABLE."

Cypress didn't approve of binge drinking or excessive gambling, but she was admittedly competitive. Excessively so. She was also rather vindictive and brutal when it came to ironic punishments too. She wasn't entirely kidding about the cirrhosis thing. She was still mad.

The axe-girl decided the resulting vomiting, dizziness, migraine-to-end-all-migraines would be punishment enough for their inevitable loss.

Will burst out in louder, heartier laugh than she ever had before.
"SOO WHA'CHER SHAYUN ISH I GO'A DRINK LAIK A TROO-UHS-BLOO IRISH!!!"
Even in her drunken state, she managed to pull out mamories of her early drinking days from the back of her mind. Her father had said something uncannily similar to her the first time she faced off against someone out of family.
If anything, she just became even more determined!
"Ge' me anot'ar roond!" she called out. Six more bottles were placed in front of them. Three each.

"Those are on the house." said the waitress. This ever-lasting drink-off was drawing in more customers by the minute. The least they could do was give them one round free. In the mean time, the other patrons come to watch the drink-off were placing bets.

"T'ank'ee!" Will said to her with a grin.
She really wasn't sure how much longer she'd hold out- but she didn't give a damn. She opened the bottle, raised it high in the air and repeated two of Cypress's words.
"FER SHUBUSEEEEN!!!!"
And the drinking ensued.

...
