This year's show is called Shades of Green. Our director bought it from an other director. It's a combination of The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wicked.

"In The Garden." We changed the name from "BUGZ!"
by John M. Meehan. It sucks a**, except for the drum parts and mellophone parts.

Our show is going to be called "Rising From The Ashes" and the music is "Goddess of Fire" be Steven Reineke and "Rising Dragons" by Robert Smith.
Our show is supposed to be how at the end of World War 2, there were all the destroyed buildings, and those will be our props in ugly grays and blacks then, as the show hits the ballad and closer, the props get brighter and nicer. Then, somehow, we're supposed to put our hats down as to lead on to a better tomorrow.
Our guard is changing uniforms like two or three times too...

Our schools is I think called "The Unexpected"
It's really cool! We have a huge gym so it's like really easy. It's amazing though, I don't know where we got the idea. We set up the chairs like usual in the center of the gym, but no one sits in them because usually we all enter when the show starts, but this time not. The announcer is supposed to act all surprised like "Where's the band!?" and then the percussionists (I'm percussion!! Yaaay me lolz!) come but this time, for some reason, we have chairs with our instruments in front. In one area there's a snare drum in front ready to get played and then there's a bass then a marimba etc. and we look like we're ready to play it when we suddenly just start moving it away. Then we just sit down in the chairs. We act like nothing's happening, we just start talking and getting relaxed then me, being the lead, say a little loudly for the audience "Just one sec" to the person I was talking to and then I lay down a beat on the back of my chair. Then the person on my right seems interested and gets up and starts playing and so on until all percussion is playing an AWESOME beat on just the chairs.
Then, out of nowhere in the audience, the flutes, scattered everywhere, come and stand and start playing along. (They hid their flutes so it wuz like ppl didn't expect them to be band players) then etc. with other instruments and they play with us.
It's AMAZING! i wish all of you could've seen it. We then play regular songs like We Will Rock You, Thriller, and even Supercalifragulisticexpialadocious lolz

Shadster3751 We are usually told nothing but the theme. This year is going to be awesome though its Cirque Du Soleil! biggrin That a cool show, our band did that 2 years ago when I was in middle school. :/ We're playing Led Zepplin. And then after all contests we play Journey.

We're doing this South American theme. I only know of one song that's gonna be in the show. it's called "Iberian Escapades"
that's all i know though.

Were doing a journey show.
The songs are Open Arms, Don't Stop Believing, Anyway you want it, and Seperate ways.
Then somewhere in that mix were going to randomly throw in Thriller and do the dance. Wtf D:!
- Last year we did The Doors.. My band director loves rock shows :/

We are doing Knight time.
Since my school's mascot is a Knight, we are doing a show with songs with night in the title or is somehow connected with thew night. There fore it is Knight Time.
