Before she knew what had even happened she felt herself litterally this time get swept off her paws, and boy did it just cause her head to spin. A giddy smile rose on her lips while she placed her paws in her lap this time for the short ride. Already her stomach began to tingle with the butterflies fluttering in there, her eyes ventured to his face as she nodded eagerly, entwining her arm in his and allowed him to lead her back to the house.

"Not at all, Jerome! I could make you something if you like, or we usually have lots of leftovers. Having a chef as owner of the house she brings back lots of treats to eat so we're usually never hungry!" The little vixen beamed as she watched her stepping beside him, taking her strides quickly to keep up with his.

Looking around the dark woods, she felt a little uneasy remembering the last time she'd ventured out into the depths during the night. Her fears were quelled by Jerome's presence that was for sure, but it didn't stop her from jumping slightly at occasional sounds.

Jerome was no where near as alert as he usually was. The promise of food made him drool and his normally active brain began the tedious sequence of telling Jerome he was tired. Occasionally he would yawn, but he managed to keep his eyes open through the trip in the woods.

"Whatever you see fit. Any left overs you don't want in the house is a gourmet meal to me, so I have no qualms in that" he smiled as he saw her house coming into view. It was about time. He thought his stomach was going to eat itself

"Well...I'm sure whatever if left over would be more filling than anything I can make at this time of night." Koyuki admitted, knowing well that most of her foods needed fresh ingredients they didn't carry in the house anyways. Once the house came into view she lit up and almost began pulling him over to the safety and comfort that was the house. "Come...but we have to be quiet; I assume everyone is sleeping." She smiled and winked, pulling open the door quietly once they reached it and ventured inside.

A quick turn down the hall and she stepped into the kitchen, immediately heading to the fridge to see what they had. "Hmmmm, looks like Drake or Corosina ate the salmon....but we to have lasagna, some roast...I believe that could be stew....we also have some scalloped potatoes. Anything you'd like?" Casting a glance over her shoulder she smiled, motioning the sleepy Spartan to sit at the table.

Jerome wasn't one for eating and running, but the house he was currently in always had his fur on edge. Every now and then he'd cast a nervous glance to the doorway of the kitchen, pondering that if he needed to defend himself, would he be capable of doing so. He looked back over at Koyuki when she had asked him what he wanted

"A-a-anything is fine" he stammered stupidly. He looked over at the table and was hesitant to sit as he wouldn't be able to see the door too well, but to please his mate, he sat anyway and tried to calm his nerves down. "Sorry. I guess this house has me on edge" he mused as he twiddled his thumbs

Now Koyuki was nervous. It was becoming apparent that whenever Jerome got the 'spooks' per say, that something terrible was about to happen. Warming up the sliced roast and potatoes since she felt that it would fill him up the best, she moved to the table and set down the food for him to help himself. When she'd opened her mouth to ask, he'd given her the answer she was looking for.

"On edge?" She blinked, confused as she looked around. "How come? You don't need to worry, everyone is sleeping. None of us are really night owls here! Besides, after what you did to Trovalius he's been avoiding most everyone as of later in case he has to apologize again!" The vixen couldn't help the merry laugh that rose from her lips. "I know its not the pod but try and relax....we're not all that bad i'd hope!"

Jerome sighed in ease. He quickly but delicately took some of the roast. He tried to keep his politeness about him, despite his aching stomach, but he took his mate's words to heart. If she told him to be at ease, then that is what he would try to do. But the mere fact that the demon was afraid of him put a smile on his face.

"Hard to believe that an actual demon is afraid of me" he jested, grabbing some of the potato and quickly putting it in his mouth. Both of the food items were absolutely delicious. Much better than the snack food he had sampled at his alleged house.

It wasn't long before he had ingested everything, and although he wasn't full, he was certainly satisfied with the meal. "Thank you very much. that really hit the spot." he said as he puffed out his stomach and patted it

"It doesn't surprise me much..." Koyuki absently thought as she leaned back into her chair; tapping her chin in thought. "He is really against anything not organic....so he probably isn't too keen on weapons he doesn't understand." Then again, if she hadn't met Jerome before and he came along holding her at gunpoint she'd probably be scared too, for good reason.

"You're most welcome!" She beamed, standing and grabbing the empty plates before putting them into the sink for tomorrow. "I'm glad, you looked so well....exhausted!" Koyuki admitted once more, as she leaned her back against the counter as she watched the spartan before looking at the clock.

"Do you get more tired without your armor on?"
PostPosted: Thu Feb 04, 2010 2:36 am

Jerome nodded at her responses. He could understand. Especially since he used the biggest gun he had available to him at that time. he shook his head a little bit with a smile on his face as he remembered that day.

Her further questioning caught him a tad off guard, but like always he was quick to respond. There was nothing he enjoyed more than answering questions or doing something nice for another individual.

"Yes I do. My armor provides recycles the energy I put into it so that if on the battlefield, I don't run out of steam" he stated.

"Wow....that must be why you got the name as Spartan's yes...? You and the others do seem pretty indestructible armored up there..." Of course that was romanticizing her thoughts again, knowing even as spartans they'd lose men and women. Hell, just looking at the Arbiter was a wake up call that it was a constant struggle to keep up with the abilities of one's enemy in the age of discovery.

Shoving her body off from the counter the vixen walked back to the table and placed her hands on the wood surface with a lean. "Well...what now?" It wasn't like she needed to kick him out, or if he was still hungry she could have grabbed him more food. Yet if he was tired she didn't want to keep him up further; as much as she was unaware of the facts....the woods were certainly not a place to be un alert in it seemed.

Jerome chuckled. The lack of the new age knowledge always amused him. "No we are called Spartans because we were trained to be the finest and the best the military had. Much like the Spartans of Italy." he mused as he stood. He was ready to sleep, and he was prepared for Koyuki's question.

"I think it'd be best If I left and went home while I still have my wits. There are still many dangers in the night"

"Ah....I'm sorry...I guess my reading has all but....slacked off lately." For well, obvious reasons. No longer training to be a Geisha had rendered most of her 'study' time useless when she'd read up; that or Jerome and her new responsibilities as 'housemother' seemed to occupy her time enough.

The word dangers sent a little chill up her spine, while knowing Jerome could handle what was out there it still made her concerned. Nodding her head she moved over as he stood and with two placed paws on his chest and rose on the tips of her paws to steal another short, sweet kiss. Looking up into his eyes she smiled for a moment and then all but fluttered out the door and into the hallway back to the front door.

"Mmm, I would not want anything to happen to you so I'll let you go then. Will I see you soon or are you going for a round of cryo this time?" It had been a while, but since their first times together he'd always been (and kept getting interrupted) during this process and wasn't sure if he'd taken to just sleeping now. Holding open the door she waited for him, intent on seeing him out at least to the porch.

Jerome enjoyed the sweet little kiss, and was slightly disappointed when she pulled away, but he wasn't up for round two, at least not at this time.

He walked behind her, as she opened the door he stepped out, but turned on his heels to say farewell one last time.

"I will be in cryo, for 2 days. That's the minimum I can sleep and have it successful. Anyway, in 2 days, meet me back at the willow. That will be our secret place." he said as he winked at her. He looked over at the treeline which to him was darker than the night sky. "Farewell. I will see you in 2 days" he said as he gave her one last kiss on the cheek, and turned to vanish into the cover of night

"Two days...I can manage." Koyuki smiled sweetly, although she hated to be away from him since it just seemed she'd gotten him back...it had to be done. Perhaps she would be able to finish all her weekly chores in the two days to allow her schedule to be completely free, already her resolve to get it all done was strong. Closing her eyes when he leaned in to kiss her cheek, she shyly toyed with the hem of her dress as she watched him fade away into the night.

"See you soon, Jerome." With a wave of her paw the vixen retired for the night; shutting the door behind her.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two days later...

"Iiiiiiiiiiiittttttaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiii! Kussooooo!" Koyuki whined out in agony, trying to lash and writhe in her bed only to be held down forcefully by Briareos; the only one capable of holding the normally harmless vixen. A colourful vocabulary of Japanese words flowed out in either screams, gentle whispering sobs or like now, pleads.

"Now now sugar....Just breathe....the doctor will be done soon....Right??" Corosina who'd taken to patting Koyuki's forehead with a damp cloth growled at the doctor, who kept having to feel and press into Koyuki's abdomen despite the pain it caused. As much as this whole ordeal was frankly disgusting and the absolute worst case scenario after a sultry romp....the tiger demon prayed such a thing would never happen to her.

A particular prod into her abdomen sent her head back into the pillow with a particularly loud and painful cry, her body shaking as the doctor pulled back to retrieve a bit of pain medicine from his satchel; preparing the needle. "Yes....We're all finished with the examination."

"Jerome...Okaasan.....Dareka..." Koyuki tried to breathe calmly, despite being held down by someone as big as Briareos...but once she was given the shot she felt the pain subside a little; enough that the Bioroid could at least let go. Her meeting with Jerome that afternoon long forgotten in the midst of the past day and a half with meeting her mother and then this.

Jerome woke up 2 days later and stretch eagerly. He immediately forgot that he was wearing his huge armor and made a mad dash down to the valley, where the secluded willow was. It was early, and at first he didn't suspect Koyuki to show up exactly as he did, so he patiently waited. Occasionally playing with his tail, taking his helmet off to lap at the cool waters of the creek, or goof around with his AI, Elysia.

It wasn't until night had fallen that he had noticed the day had flown by and that there was no sign of his mate. A tad worried about this unusably behavior, he thought maybe he should go and see her. But then it occurred to him that maybe she was already on her way and perhaps took a different route, and would arrive at any moment. "Surely leaving wouldn't be a good idea. What if she showed up right as I left? What if she set off earlier, got lost and would find her way here just as soon as I departed? No. I'm going to wait here until she shows up" he said to his AI as she rolled her eyes at his faithful stupidity

Needless to say, Trovalius hadn't exactly made a mad rush to find the spartan when he was ordered hours ago to go fetch him from the meeting spot he and Koyuki had claimed their own.

In his defense though, it wasn't like she was very good at giving directions by saying 'that big tree' and 'the rock with a lot of moss' and a point of the finger to send him in said direction. None the less, he was glad to be out of the house where everyone had become a crack job, Koyuki's screams, Drake's nervous chatter for his 'pebble', Corosina's dominant yelling as she tried to be boss and Briareos trying to make everyone play nice had grated on his last nerves.

It was no wonder he was first to volunteer to go find the freak she called 'Jerome'.

So as night began to fall, the demon finally located this willow; even though he was sure the spartan had long departed as his paws trudged through the slow moving water to the curtain of the willow. Drawing it back, he found to his surprise the spartan still sitting there, mostly in the dark of the setting day.

"You're still here, figures." Trovalius groaned, and wasted no time explaining as he motioned his thumb back in the direction of the house. "The loony bin sent me to fetch you, your girlfriend is....erm...sick. Bedrest, I heard." As much as he didn't like Jerome, or Koyuki, or anyone at the house...he wasn't about to add wreaking the...'surprise' to his list.
