Olga-- Scarred lawyer
I hate this gloop already.

With only her fingertips in the green gloop, Olga found it to be pleasantly warm, as if it had been heated by some other source. It was also moving as if it might be alive, but that could have been from her poking her hand into it. Removing her hand from the gloop several droplets stuck to her fingers, staying only on the area that had been in it. Standing up from the floor, she found that she had been the most covered by the green substance, most of her lower body and the shoulder of the arm that had not been pressed ing the small pool. Scraping it off as best as she could she found thet it stuck to her skin and refused to come off once contact had been made. Leaning against the wall next to the elevator, Olga removed her left shoe and poured out some of the liquid in a slow dribble. The same for the right. As with her hands, the substance coated her feet and would not come off. Even as she scraped her hands across an edge of a wall it stayed stuck to her hands. The most disturbing point was when a poster from the wall stuck to the globs and tore off, sticking to the gloop as it had stuck to her. Flapping her hand in a panic, the poster flew off and stuck into the wall, rigid as a sheet of metal. With that, she moved over to one of the empty bins and promptly threw up into it. What the hell is going on? This is getting far too creepy to be real.

Victor

Victor wasn't paying attention when he got in the elevator, his head on other things. Like how his little sister left their family just a couple days ago, high as a kite and with a drug dealer twice her age. He didn't hear or see all the panic or anything until something dropped onto his shoulder. He touched it and stared at it. Some strange green goop and it wouldn't come off. He took his jacket off and ran out of the elevator. "What is going on?!" he freaked.

For a moment, Casper forgot about his stomach of butterflies and almost laughed. The man Victor, whose name he did not know, apparently had a rather delayed reaction. The question he posed was probably on everyone's mind. "Well, damn. That bomb must have done a number." He commented. But obviously, things were weird. "But at least we're all alive, eh?" And then he barfed on the window... not so gracefully.

((Revive attempt.

Hmmm... I wonder how many of the characters know each other prior to this event.

Edit: Note to self: Alternative reality had the most votes, but bomb and creatures also had one vote each.))

The guide named Icar
Oh gods. Not more of them...

From the previously locked door there came the soft click as a key was turned in the lock. Swinging open from the other side a small lithe figure that could have been male or female, stepped out. With an almighty yawn the person began to speak. "What the f*** is all the racket for? Some people are trying to sleep. Looking around the group once more it clocked on to the several pools of cooling vomit. Sighing, they turned around and made for the door they had just come out of. "Come on, this way. I can explain a few things that might keep you all alive, unlike the last lot. I live on the next floor. I'll talk there. With its piece said they moved across the hall and through the adjacent door.

((Revival responce.))

Victor

Victor watched the guy who answered his question barf and he felt a little queasy. But he held it together and sighed. A tiny person came out telling them to follow them. His gut said to back away slowly but he had no idea what was going on. But the thing said they knew how to keep everyone alive. So that was his best bet. "What happened to the previous people?" he asked the creature.

The guide named Icar
Revelations

In responce to the question from the man, Icar threw a bone through the door. It was small enough to be a childs, but the skull that Icar carried back through looked much bigger. "A family. Parents and their four year old daughter. They got here the same way that you did, abeit through a different entrance. The giant spiders caught them before I could reach them and stripped the flesh from their bones. They were the lucky ones. For the past two hundred years at least, travelers have made it to the Crossroad realm.Ie, here. Some died, others a fate worse than death. I've helped around three dozen groups back to the right realm. I hope to keep all of you alive to see your homes again. Now come on before the other spiders come to check on the one that you crushed with the lift. Go up those stairs, hurry now." Moving faster that he had seconds earlier, Icar dashed back into the other room. After a minute of clattering, Icar returned wearing a grey cloak with dozens of buttoned pocket covering the outside of it. "Is everyone ready?"

Victor

Victor gasped when he saw the bone and skull. Jeez, a whole family. Spiders! This was just getting weirder and weirder... He looked back at the stranger and moved up towards the stairs, looking at everyone else. He wanted to live and he would whatever he needed to do to make it out alive.

---Jack Dubois

Jack eyed the man that had kept quiet until now with icy eyes, simply listening to the chatter between the two men from the elevator as he took his own life in his hands and walked to the door without the others. They were taking much too long for people who were in a building that supposedly had a bomb in it, and Jack wasn't through with his life just yet; there were still a few things he had to take care of.

Before he knew it, he heard the sound of one of the others throwing up, but didn't turn back until he heard a door open and an unfamiliar voice speak. Listening to the crazy figure, Jack's eyebrows pulled together, wondering if this person was actually serious or just wasting their time. The skull and bone didn't phase him much, for Jack knew bones could be bought for medical and scientific studies. Plus, he found the whole thing a bit far-fetched. Giant spiders? The only part of that that actually made it slightly plausible to Jack, was the green slime and the bone-crushing sounds of the elevator falling and landing on something. Other than that, the whole 'different dimension' talk was ridiculous in Jack's brooding eyes.

"Up the stairs? We're on the top floor. You want us to get to the roof?" Jack criticized, the only explanation that fit this man's attempts were if there was a helicopter waiting for them to get the hell out of this place.

The intimidating looking man had said what was exactly on his mind. Blarg. Casper thought as he recovered from his regurgitation.

A thought popped into his head. "Spiders? Wait, how have you been here for so long?" Casper asked the strange newcomer, as he moved toward the door.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 24, 2010 2:51 pm

This wasn't happening... ther was no way in any world this was happening.

"Spiders?" she asked timidly. She really didn't expect any answer, but her senses heigtened as she sad the word. "I hate spiders." came the added whisper. Sable looked around, and then headed back towards the window. She looked around at the empty surroundings, not noticeing much besides the bleak ness. Expecting it to be twilight, she looked for the sun on the horizan, but was surprised to find it high in the sky...and really far away. It was samll, a distant orange ball of flames, and the moon was large, closer to the earth then ever before. "Whats wrong... with t-t-the sun and t-the moon?"

The guide named Icar
Are you kidding me?

The self proclamed guide gave an "are you kidding me" look towards the cynical man. "The roof? Why the F*** would I want to take you down there? Up the stairs. Down a floor. Got it?" Another man, then a woman started talking to him just as the guide reached the door to leave. Please let them shut up and just move. Thing would be so much simpler if they did. "Yes, spiders. Great big bloody spiders. And they can probably tell that a group has arrived. Now can we please just move to somewhere that they can't get into. Like, oh, maybe my home. I'll answer any other questions there" The cynicism in his voice had been steadily growing as they talked to the group. Hopefully they would shut up and get moving, like it was asking.

Olga-- Scarred lawyer
Moving on~

Olga had been wiping the last of the vomit from her mouth when Icar had first came in the door. Not wanting to open her mouth in case she threw up again, she reserved her questions till a time that she was feeling better. When the....man? Came back through from the next room with human bones, she turned green, but managed to hold her stomach from tipping over the floor again. Wobbling to a standing position, Olga managed to walk over to where the new person was waiting outside the room in the stairwell. Looking down the small gap between the rails, she staired in surprise as the stairs only went down a floor then stopped. The streched up, however, for further that she could see clearly. Wait, what? Why do the stairs go up instead of down?

((Any objections?))

Sable nodded, liking what he was saying. She would get answers, and a safe place to stay. "Okay then..." she sadi, heading towards the doorway. She paused, and gripped her bag close to her. "I'm ready when you are."

((Anyone not posted by now is presumed to have left the Rp. They shall be ghosted along to be possibly killed at a later point. Slight puppeting to keep things moving.))

The guide named Icar
Welcome to my home.

Finally they were starting to see sense. Ignoring any other questions, Icar moved over to the door on the other side of the hall and locked it with a key hanging round its neck. Leading the group to the stairwell round the corner, it started up the stairs with many of the group looking up and down the gaps in a confused manner. "Come on, hurry, hurry." Bounding up the steps two at a time Icar reached the next floor and proceded to unlock the first door that the group would reach, waiting for them at the door. Locking the door behind the group after ushering them in, pointing them to the main room filled with a variety of stools, chairs and sofas, all which managed to fit into the small room. Flopping into the large chair next to the smoldering fire, Icar threw a blue log onto it which lit with a soft glow. Leaning forward, Icar waited for them to get comfy before speaking.
