The reason for the black background is because in the real picture, if you paste the URL onto something like your profile, only the black lines will show. But if you use GIMP >I did<, then the flower comes up as lineart, which was why mine looks so clean :'D

Oh I know only the lines show up, but I've copied other similar .png with clear backgrounds and not gotten a black box. So it was a bit confusing. Luckily, since i can use layers, I can just make a copy of the line art and set it to a multiply layer as the top layer. That way, I can see the lines on top of my coloring.
Since with a screen shot it is no longer a clear background, that makes it so I can color beneath the lines P: Fufufufu. skills.
@ Panda: Oh it just sounded really nice xD Thought it might be from something.

Uh, I just save the picture, open it in Fireworks, set it at lineart, lock that layer and start colouring on other layers. ^^''
Anything else would be way too much effort for me. XD

I only have Photoshop Elements 6, CS3, and SAI. I have fireworks, however idk how to use it, so it's pretty useless to me.

Woops, totally missed your comments earlier. You have quite a few colouring programs there! I hope to upgrade to Photoshop soon.
Oohyay, I like colouring cute things. Something with frills would be awesome. XD I haven't used pink yet, so I think I shall plan on using pink in the next one. x3
