I would like to be sent in seperate from the main force. Preferably I would like a few NPCs to accompany me, however I'll go it alone if it will keep me from having to strap on that metal-and-plastic coffin.

I'll go take out the airfield.

Denied. You were already listed as a member of the Squad. To become a person like that, you'd have to complete Sniper or Ranger training or something and get permission to have created your own squad a long time ago. rolleyes

Besides, most of those planes will be in the air at the time of the engagement and, there's a ton of people guarding them. No paratrooping is available to the internal structure, yet, becuase most of the AA cannons and machine guns remain. So the only way you'd get there is for a mechanized unit to carry you there; which your already a part of.

H-uh... Well, enjoy your mission then. I'm requesting a transfer.

Haha, alright, to what branch?

You really shouldn't have joined the army if you didn't want to engage in squad tactics you know. xd

You could have lead tanks. You could have lead HumVEE's or strikers or Artillery or Long range missile units; but you wanted to be an Army Ranger. This happens. xp

Just to a different squad, one not about to charge into an untenable situation.

Squad?

There are only two. And both are mine. whee

At least we got this handled in the OOC though. If we did this after you had been in the battleground it would have been hell. xd

I'm not trying to make things difficult, but I don't like you implying that I know nothing about military affairs. I have kept my tone respectful however the underlining condescension in yours is uncalled for.

I do respect wanting a good, fun battle but this isn't something a small group of regular infantry can handle. If you insist on sending me in there without proper support then I insist on not going.

we take em one at a time and resupply after every battle , at least thats what i suggest
PostPosted: Sat Jan 30, 2010 9:43 pm

Good suggestion. It's about all you can do with such limited forces. However, that comes with its own inharent risks.

Whatever tactic you're considering, put yourself in your enemie's place. If you started losing one unit here, another unit there, how would you react to that?

Haha it's alright. There's no way for you to know how the battles would be and how everything would pan out before you even got assigned to your first engagement.

Everything is alright. Just remember, just becuase you aren't a part of the invasion, and aren't a part of the aerial assault and Navy Submarines doesn't mean they don't exist. I can assure you that, it's more than 14 ground units. As a matter of fact, there aren't 14 ground units in the event- well, people. We have Two Airforce Generals, A navy General (a pending Navy Submariner), A marine General, Me of course, and plenty of grunts and squads to help out.

I myself will probably have another five people to fill in the rest of my missing squad- So will Guinevere and iShoot. Then we get our sub guy, and our generals make decisions on how many units they have.

Everything is going smoothly. You as infantry will do two things- kill infantry, and bomb AA cannons that are so high off the ground that when you move in so quickly, they can't even see you. You plant bombs, launch rockets, whatever.

Trust me, I have this all under control. This isn't my first barbecue. blaugh
