Faris gazed up at her friend as she held the panicking nutbarthing and smiled and nodded, "Good job!" she said sincerely though she couldn't help but feel a bit of jealousy well within her but still she was proud of her friend and happy for her. As one buzzed past over head she reached up to grab it and missed.
"'amnit," she 'cursed'.

Seeing her friend didn't even try this time the small Gargoyle flopped back flattening her wings against the floor and stared up as they zinged about above her and still...Nothing happened. Waiting was for suckers anyways.

Evari gasped. "You said a bad word!" She said in a scandalized manner, but in truth it was cool. Where did she learn that? She wanted to say it too! But Xai got mad last time she asked what it meant...but Xai always scolded her! Hmph!
She sat with her wriggling smoke critter and watched her friend try all kinds of different methods to catch one for herself, her head tilted and her eyes wide. "YOU CAN DO IT~! Oooh!" She pointed both hands at a nearby butterfly net sticking out of a pile of stuff. "Try THAT!"

Faris snorted a bit, "Don't tell Mama," she giggled lightly feeling a bit better as she sat up and gazed where Evari pointed and blinked a little as she stared at it before she stood and went to go get it. This could work, maybe, possibly. No it had to. Evari suggested it and thus it would totally work, it had to. Why would Evari suggest things and not have them work? That'd be SILLY. Armed with her 'weapon' she began to sneak up on one of the nutbar things.
This particular one was floating around in a circle in a wobblier fashion than the other ones looking a bit lost, confused, and even a bit ... more damaged somehow? Yep it had to be Critter. Critter was slightly more ... 'special' than his brethren somehow. Special as in ... he wasn't all there other than the nutbarthings weren't already all there. With a quick motion it was caught in the net.
Critter paused and then struggled a bit before he gave up and flopped over in the net, "haaaaai~'brellanom?"
Faris sniffed a bit, "No," and dragged Critter back toward where Evari sat net and all.

When Nom-Nom went through him Pilot gasped. He couldn’t feel the buzzing anymore! Face reflecting his horrified state he considered for maybe one second just flopping down and giving in to the temptation to cry and ignore everyone. Then he thought about what Mama would do and got serious. Eyes narrowing and feeling his frustration turn into anger Pilot looked around at the gray blobs trying to determine which one was Nom-Nom. He finally found him whizzing past the second blue haired lady, he could tell it was Nom-Nom because he had a newspaper mark on it from where Uncle Morphy had gotten it. Turning his mind to his other power he noticed robot toy right near which with a small mental twist he turned on and aimed towards the creature, firing its foam rockets. Whilst it was distracted with the toy he snuck up behind it and pounced. “Gotcha Nom-Nom” Pilot said with a vicious grin, giving a tiny growl to get it to stop struggling.

Deimos was lost... why were people trying to catch those horrible, scary creatures? The ones that close to him were met with him flailing his arms at them in an attempt to get them to go away, to keep them away! He didn't want one, he just wanted them!
"G-G-Go... go away... p-please..." He said to the nearest one to him, let the others have them, all he wanted was for his parents to come back and save him! He wanted Momma to hug him and Daddy to protect him, he didn't want to be here with so many strangers anymore. To add to the fear and protests coming from him were tears, lots and lots and lots of tears...

The kneeling woman hugged Ryan when he clung to her, rubbing his back in a reassuring manner. Poor thing...poor, poor thing. She made reassuring noises to him, swaying slightly to try and calm him down; but she was more watching the kids that were trying their hardest to capture the...things. Everyone seemed excited to do so, aside from the two crying ones in the room. Poor Deimos...looked like his creature didn't need to be caught, it stuck around anyway! The only remaining smoke figure happened to notice that it was the only one flying around, and with an almost cartoon puff out of it's cheeks, it sank to the floor at Ryan's feet as though melting.
The one that had led Switch here still hung around her head, upside down with it's tongue stuck to it's massive eye.
"What did that thing mean by 'Your mess now?'" She demanded to the now mostly quiet room; the nutbars, all Eight of them, turned to face her. All Eight of them stared at her stupidly, then stared down at the children, then at each other...
"POWERSALLMIXEDUPLIKEBIGBIGBIGKNOT!" All eight of them said together, excited and somehow VERY happy despite being the ones that caused the mess. Switch took a moment to process the information, pursing her lips. Their powers...were all mixed up? Interesting. So maybe Kay wasn't the only one that recently came into a new power?
"Do you know how to get them back the way they were?" All eight creatures shrugged but strangely said nothing, just staring. "...If you tried, do you...uh...think...you can fix it?" There was a rush of excitement and very enthusiastic nods, followed by a stream of 'yes' noises, all being repeated and a few in other languages. One...even belched out the word? Wow, these things were...special. "Who is mixed up with what?" With eight echoing shrieks, the nutbars pointed to children other than their own.
"...Okay. Well, Sweethearts, This might be really hard for some of you...but I think, if you want your own powers back, you need to try and get these...Nutbars...to switch them for you. Can you do that?"
Regardless, the nutbars urged their pairs of children together...because the nice blue haired lady said so, and they'd probably get FOOD out of it if they behaved!
