Only reason why people hate it so much is it's the only real dungeon besides H HoR that requires effort. People are so naive that they think heroics aren't "srz biz" anymore, so if they get Occ, they drop group cause they're too lazy.

I never really took the time to learn the drakes and the fights, so whenever I get stuck in it I'm like "right. someone who's been here tell me what color to take and I'll make it happen plzkthx." gonk
However, I've only ever gotten it through the random twice, and both times I was tank, my brother was healer, and we had nice DPS that were cool with taking the time to give me the lowdown rather than BS it and die a bunch. 4laugh

lishuss its official. oc is no longer my least favorite dungeon ever. that title has been picked up by Maraudon after getting my account back up and running i hopped on some dungon finder and guess what was the first two dungeons? you guessed it, oculus. the experiences were good enough that i no longer loath it something fierce(mainly becasue that whelp glitch is gone) though the first time i died right before we killed the final boss and lead to an annoying runback just so i could get the bag loot. i know it lets you kill him faster, but there should really be two healers on that fight and the healer should NOT be a dps who has absolutely no healer toons. why is mara now my most hated? simple theres not many choices for a lv 40 toon to run in the DF system. when i was rocking my pally out as a tank(which he is doing awesomely as long as no one acts a fool) the damn system loaded mara purple up 8 times in a row and each time. and each time it was more annoying than the last. seriously, it takes forever to get to the first(and ONLY) boss and i nearly died every time because of the goddamn poison-casting imps that no one would kill and would do more damage to me than the 4 damn satyrs that were around me and almost everyone would leave the group once we killed the boss instead of staying around for the rest of the instance so we'd get new people who would always be rather bad when it came to the oozes with teh sick aoes that would wipe half the melee group because they didnt notice how badly they were getting hurt by it all. every time i ran it we would get as far as the first waterfall and the group would shatter. i dont know, maybe its because i've only been in this dungeon as a lv 70 in bc and an 80 now and i dont really know how the mechanics work, but damn this instance is annoying as s**t. and i'm frikkin stuck with it because i've leveled too damn many toons and getting really sick of old world content and am trying to level my pally via instance grinding(for tanking xp as well as real xp) and its the only instance i will be able to do for a while now. /pout I don't know what whelp glitch you're referring to, but I do know that they can still glitch out on somebody. I had to heal the last boss fight in Oculus with no drake because I was stuck in combat, as some whelps were trapped in one of the floating islands. I don't think I could have done that on any other character but my druid. And I still died anyway, but it was enough healing to make it through to close to the end of the fight.

I actually looooove Ocy. Something about kicking a** on a dragon that just sets right with me.
It's pretty hard to fail at Ocy nowadays, you don't even need someone on a green drake.
Besides, Ocy is one of the shortest, easiest, and most rewarding instances avalible right now, so I can't imagine why anyone would actually ditch it (though I do see that a lot.)

Oculus is pretty easy now, especially since they nerfed it
and added a little bag of goodies to entice people to finish the
instance - especially with the chance of getting a new mount.
Who can beat that, amirite? xd
Got the dragon on my 3rd or 4th time I went in there
when the patch came out for it. cool woot.

This forum made me Lol..True, I hate people who drop groups for any reason, But you have no true excuse to drop a group..consider that the other people have waited the same hr or so for the que as you..if you get stuck with the que you don't like..don't drop it..
I personally love Oculus
