"I'm not dragging anyone to the witch!"The White Rabbit cried "I'm just here to find someplace to stay!" He reached for his pocket watch, preparing himself to stop time and get the hell out of there. "Now, Now," he spoke, his hand gripped around the golden watch "let's not be rash now!"

Shakir acted instinctively. Dodging forward, he brought his dagger to the rabbit's throat and knocked the watch out of his hands in a blur of paws. It still dangled from his pocket, but the dirty furry long-ear couldn't click it without groping for it. "Looking for a place to stay?" Shakir hissed, realizing he had been repeating himself a lot with this character. "Why? Doesn't the witch still want her bunny?"

Alice had been so shocked to find a talking, walking rabbit, that she just stood there, dazed. It was completely unnatural. But, apparently not in this country, wherever that was... It took her a little while to realize that Shakir was speaking to her. Blinking quickly at the realization, she quickly jumped behind him, and carefully looked over his shoulder at the rabbit. What could be so harmful about a little rabbit, even if it did speak.
Shakir had attacked the rabbit, spouting some nonsense about the "Red Witch." A witch in general seemed like a character Alice would want to stay away from. In fact, even the name made her shiver. The rabbit seemed scared too. At Shakir obviously. Who wouldn't be afraid of a lion with a dagger. But, if the rabbit was indeed still with this witch, why would he be so eager to get away from her?
"Wait a second!" Alice ran out next to the rabbit, and looked at Shakir. "Stop. If he says he's not with this witch, then perhaps he isn't. Ever think of that?" Alice looked at the cringing rabbit, but didn't offer any expressions to make him feel any better. "And if you still don't believe him, he is just a rabbit. It wouldn't be too hard to keep him hostage while we travel, right?" A mischevous grin spread across her face for a moment. If it would keep the rabbit alive, and Shakir in a better mood, it was for the best. Besides, Alice was actually a little curious to find out who this witch person was. According to Shakir, the rabbit should know.

Shakir snorted, not moving his dagger. "You don't just take one like this prisoner. Don't you remember? This is the witch's precious rabbit, the one with the Watch. You want him pressing that button any time soon?" He looked at her. "Um, you do know what I'm talking about, right?" She didn't respond, and Shakir clapped his free hand to his brow. "Oz help us, tell me you know about the Watch!"

I may be Madd, but I'm not crazy..."Of Course she doesn't, little lion." Angie spoke up amidst the crowd that gathered. "She knows nothing of our world. Or do you, dear Alice? You seem to know not." She moved forward, standing within view of everyone. "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little bat. You're not where you're normally at.Personally, I believe you don't belong in munchkin land." She tisked. "Perhaps the Golden City?"

Alice frowned at Shakir. Well of course she didn't know what he was talking about. She thought they had already been through the fact that she wasn't from around here.
"So you're telling me that it's not just a pocketwatch?" Alice shook her head, and muttered to herself. "I should have known, what with the rest of this world all messed up and everything." But apparently something was dangerous with that watch if Shakir was so cautious with it. He didn't want the rabbit pressing the button on it. But, what was poor Alice to do?
Suddenly she heard a voice behind her, calling her name. Turning around, Alice spotted a girl with a hat. Out of everything Alice had met today, this seemed to be the only person that understood her situation even the slightest. But, Alice didn't like the tone in this girl's voice. At least she looked normal, but if pocketwatches and rabbits weren't what they seemed here, then she shouldn't assume this person was normal.
"Who are you, and how do you know my name?" Alice asked cautiously, moving back closer to Shakir.

I may be Madd, but I'm not crazy... " My name is Angela Hatter. Otherwise knows as the 'Mad Hatter'. Call my Angie, I beg you." Angie said with a swooping bow, releasing her grip on her gun. A dangerous move in some cases, but no more dangerous than, say, escaping the Witch's custody. "I know of you as all of Oz does." She said, riddling once more. "Though how that is doesn't matter; you'll learn in time. I'm sure of it." Taking a few steps forward, she enclosed to inches separating them. "Though I do have a riddle for you, dear Alice. Do you have any idea why a raven is like a writing desk?" Oh, wont you have some tea with me?

"That does it!" Shakir grabbed the rabbit's throat and backed up until Alice's back was touching the wall and he was facing the Hatter. "First her rabbit, then her poison dealer. Alice, I have no idea who you are, but what did you do to get the Witch so mad at you? She's two steps away from sending her army after you at this rate!"

I may be Madd, but I'm not crazy..."Poison dealer? Little lion, I take offense to that." Angie said softly, pulling her gun out of it's holster on her side. " I am an Alchemist, not a poison dealer. You know little about the Witch's ways." She looked toward Alice. "You should watch who you talk to in this little land. Your little lion friend has blood all over his hands." She turned back to the fearful lion grasping the rabbit. " I work not of the witch. I work of myself. I hear the witch pays that of dirt. I need more than dirt to make my living." She said sarcastically serious, her eyes growing dark. "Perhaps a more privet place to talk is necessary before you behead the rabbit. That's the witch's job, remember." Oh, wont you have some tea with me?

Even Alice couldn't keep up her strong and stubborn front for long. This situation was starting to get even more confusing and out of hand by the second. And, Alice didn't know what to do.
"I don't even know who the witch is!" Alice shreiked wide eyed at Shakir. "I don't know what I did to get her mad at me. I was hoping you would know." Alice stumbled away from the wall and closer to the center of the crowd. Looking at Angie the Hatter, another of the witches servants (according to Shakir), Alice breathed in deeply.
"It's true that I don't know much about this place. I've only just arrived. I'm simply a scared little girl, too stubborn to admitt to her weaknesses. I simply want to find my way home without too much trouble. If you work for the witch too, whether you like to or not, I would be delighted if you would take her rabbit with you back to wherever you came from. Then I can go on my way, and the witch will no longer have reason to be angry with me, whatever that reason may be."
Proud of herself, Alice spun around and marched back towards Shakir. But, she couldn't help but to add in one more statement.
"And yes, I do know why a raven is like a writing desk." It was a tricky riddle, but Alice knew the answer. "'Because they both can produce a few notes, though they are very flat; and are never put with the wrong end in front"

I may be Madd, but I'm not crazy...Angie considered Alice's answer for a moment, then began laughing. "No one has ever answered my riddles before. It's an interesting change, I'll accept." She paused, rubbing her brow. "Like I believe I said, I work not of the witch. I was a prisoner, trapped in a little dungeon room. I have only seen the rabbit once. During a purposely failed demonstration in which I tamper my own creations."
Another pause. "Alice, I understand they desire to go home. But if the Witch catches you, it will never happen. I believe the Wizard is who you inquire." Oh yes, I am the master of subtleShe thought, fighting the urge to roll her eyes. "I wish you luck with the little lion." She commented before turning to said lion. "Kill the rabbit, if you must." She turned, waved over her shoulder and strolled out the door. Ah the moon is setting. It'll be dark soon. What luck. Oh, wont you have some tea with me?

"Okay, first of all, I am not little!" Shakir roared after her. Then he turned to Alice. "What do you mean, you don't know who the witch is? Exactly where did you come from? And what do you want me to do with the rabbit? We can't let him go." Glory, working with the ex-king had been easier than this.

Alice rolled her eyes at Shakir as she waited for the Hatter to leave. She was a pain, and Alice didn't want to have to come across her again anytime soon.
"Well..." Alice began as calmly as she could muster. "I meant what I said. I don't know who the witch is. I'm not from here. I fell through something that looked like a mirror and ended up here. If you have a problem with that, then fine. If not then I'd rather you not act with such hostility towards me. I'm not the threat here. According to you, the witch is."
Alice glanced around. What was she to do. It was difficult enough trying to convince the people of this strange land that she wasn't crazy, and wasn't making up some silly story. She wasn't after all, and she was just as confused as everyone else was. Of course, she was confused about different matters, but for the moment she could only go with the flow and try to trust these strange people she just met. If worse came to worse, this was all just a dream and she'd wake up if something terrible happened. If not... well, Alice didn't want to think about that yet.
"As for the rabbit..." Alice began, moving her attention to the rabbit that had wandered by earlier. He was an intriguing fellow, and Alice didn't want him to be killed. "You're against my suggestion, so do what you will with him. But, if you would refrain from killing him for a moment, I'd like to have a word with the little fellow." Alice smirked at the rabbit in quite an intimidating way before she leaned closer to him.
"I'm a little new here if you hadn't already guessed. According to my accomplice here," she guestured towards Shakir with her thumb, "You know a thing or two about the witch. Feel like filling me in a bit?"
