Wo0t! My e-book, Slave to the Crown, just hit #1 on the Shadowfire Press Bestseller List!. That's 1 out of 92 books. Yay!

I also finished my 'Opposites Attract' contest entry, A Solitary Flame, at just over 15,000 words. I went ahead and altered it to fit the contest guidelines, making it five elements instead of four. I'll have to change it back before I think about trying to get it published. I also left out several scenes because I was running out of time, and I wrote a quick ending instead of the one I had planned, so if I pursue publishing, that version will be substantially different from the one that is posted currently. If anyone wants to read a smutty gay mage story, you can find it HERE.

Ooo well done Edward! I'll probably have some spare time over this week to look over the smutty goodness!

Thank you. Though my #1 status didn't last long, lol. SttC is back to #2, but it was nice while it lasted, and hopefully, I'll get that spot back. I'm off to do some promo work now.

Hope you enjoy it. ^_^

EDIT: Promo work paid off. SttC is #1 again!

Woohoo! Got another story accepted by Shadowfire Press! That Easter/Ostara story that I wasn't so sure about--I finally came up with a title and sent it off. Long Winter's End will be published March 5th. That's what? Two weeks from this Friday? eek

It's the first of the Easter themed stories, which in my opinion makes it the best release spot, as it has the longest amount of time before Easter gets here. As I noticed with my Christmas story, sales virtually stop after the holiday, so this is very good.

Well done Edward! This is a great time for an Easter story and I hope the sales rocket!

Wow, I've been gone a while, lol. Life gets busy sometimes, you know?

Anyway...Not really much to report. It's been all writing and working and writing. My SFP titles stand at #1 for Slave to the Crown and #5 for Unspoken. I should be getting my March statement within a week, and my quarterly statement from my print book soon. I'm a little nervous about that one. Last quarter, I only sold 21 books. I'm hoping it did better this time.

I also found a new (to me) writing site called Wattpad. It's infested used mostly by teenage girls to write romance stories about vampire, arranged marriages, and jock guy/emo girl stories. I hate to sound critical, but the writing in 9 out of 10 stories is absolutely awful. They don't seem to know what a paragraph or a comma is, the don't capitalize, they don't develop their characters, they don't know how to tell a story. And most of them don't know how to accept criticism. I'm about fed up with it, but I did find a few new fans, so it does have some promotional value. If anyone would like to read the story I'm posting on there, it's called Empathetic Magic and it's another erotic M/M fantasy romance story.

Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates!

Haha you dare enter a lair full of illiterate young teenage girls? You are brave! I will try and check it out soon, I know what a busy life is like at the moment. Glad you are back and I hope your book did better!

Oh, my god, i know what you mean... If you check my sig, Bookies, is some what like that... there are a lot of good writers mixed int he bunch though, even some published, if you want to check it out.

But i'd get these people wanting me to check out there work and it would be like, fragment, enter, sentence, enter, someone talking, ect, ect... and to me it would seem so terrible... and these people are older then me! it makes it so much worse... Then I'd go down to the comment, and they would all be, wow this is great... How the ******** is it great... *sighs*

Thanks DesertRoseFallen. Yeah, it's kind of scary, lol. Not everything on there is terrible, but the vast majority...*shudder*

11linda, I've looked into Booksie before. Can't remember why I chose not to post my work there. I will definitely check out your work, though, when I get a chance.

That's exactly how it is on Wattpad, most of the time. Only they forget to enter. So it's fragment, run-on, fragment, someone talking, someone else talking, more talking, fragment...Gah! And the comments they get. I laugh until I cry when some illiterate piece of drivel gets comments like, "Gud storie," and "ur a gr8 writter!"

Haha I know exactly what you mean Edward. Even on FictionPress sometimes I get stupid comments like that haha.

try reading some one's profile and they said "i lub 2 wright" o.o and I thought I wrote bad xD... even for a dyslexic, I don't mix up right, write or ever put them together to make wright, now in second grade I but a** for as, but o.o damn, someone 17- 18 or older shouldn't be writing that way.

anyway, your story, is great, i'm a slow reader and I multi task so i'm only on chapter ten, but it's good.

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

I got a letter from my print publisher today with my quarterly statement and a royalty check! I sold 127 books during the previous quarter, which paid back my advance and earned me a nice little royalty. Not enough to quit my day job, lol, but I can take my family out to dinner.

Statistically, most books sell less than 100 copies, especially an author's first book. I've sold 148 total in six months. Not a bestseller, but not bad, and as far as I can tell, I'm still selling copies. My Amazon ranking fluctuates between 50,000 and 150,000, (okay, right now it's at 200,000) and I think that every time it rises (gets smaller), it means I've sold another book.

Still haven't heard from my E-publisher, but that's not unusual. I ought to by Monday or Tuesday. Unspoken jumped back up to #3 overnight, which I think is due to quarterly reports being issued by our third-party distributors, but don't quote me on that, lol.
