As soon as she hears the word, Aki charges, drawing her sword as she moves. In an instant, she casts a fiagra spell at the Snow Lion, then leaps into the air, bringing her sword down in a diagonal arc, sending blood spraying across the ground. The Lion, now unstunned, lets out a great roar and charges Aki. She lets it approach, then at the last moment she evades its charge and thrusts her sword into its belly. She heaves her sword upward, spilling more blood upon the ground, and with a last roar of pain, the Snow Lion falls. Aki wipes her blade clean on its fur, then returns to the group.
"Good job Adara. Very well done. Now... who's next??" Aki asks, sheathing her sword again.

"That was fun! Oh man, what a rush," she grabbed his hand and sat up, smiling. "I'll be all right, but a heal would be nice. My arm is stinging quite a bit."

Her arm, in fact, was fairly torn open and was bleeding decently. Her body was more likely going into some sort of shock in order for her not to be in agonizing pain. Rather, she was laughing.

"You should go next, Alexei. It's great fun!"

Alexei concentrated and drew a Cure spell to take the edge off Adara's pain, then straightened to face the doors and Aki. He adjusted his gunblades in their holsters and stepped up between the unopened gates. He looked between them for a few moments and decided it was best to just go with his first instinct, so he pointed towards the nearest door, off to his left.
"This is the door, let us see what goes," he said, trying to sound confident.

Three heads! Three heads... what has three heads?
"Uhh..." it was staring him in the face - literally. He knew he'd seen it before, in the textbook. It was a really simple name, too...
He snapped his fingers as it came to him, and his face lit up.
"Tri-Face! Weak against fire and...holy, I think. Spits poison, yes?"
He sighed with relief at having been able to recall it, despite his terrible professor last year.

Alexei pulled out his gunblades, wishing he had some holy magic. He'd have to watch its mouths for the poison attack. He sped forwards toward it, casting Protect to take the brunt of its probably powerful attacks. It lunged at him as he drew near, and he managed to slip between its jaws and place two gunblades into the flesh between its right and center heads, pulling the trigger on his left blade just a second too late, and only getting the benefit of one gunblade going off.

He was letting its size and his unpreparedness intimidate him, and it was making him sloppy. As he thought this, he realized he was thinking about it too much and it was probably going to distract him further, and he was right. The Tri-Face turned and caught him as he arced over it, grabbing his leg with its powerful jaws and whipping him towards the nearest wall. He found himself turning through the air unexpectedly, the sudden change in direction disorienting him.

Before he knew what was happening, Alexei slammed into the wall, taking the breath out of him, and when his presence of mind returned, the Tri-Face was bearing down on him. This wasn't good, he was really in danger here, and all because of his stupid over-thinking. He knew that if he died, it would be his own fault for not paying enough attention to the task at hand.

Alexei picked himself up, thrusting his left gunblade into the ground and pulling himself up by it. He flicked open the cylinders of his gunblades and flicked them backwards so that the spend cartridges fell out, tossed his left blade up in the air, and shoved a special red bullet into one chamber, and another into the second gunblade when it returned to his hand.

He then charged at the Tri-Face's unprotected flank. He nimbly jumped onto its tail, running up the length of its body and poured his concentration into pulling the triggers at just the right time. It was a gambit to use the special bullets, but he wanted to be sure. He was still fighting the dizziness from being flung against the wall. He held his breath just as the gunblades made contact and he pulled the triggers...

She flashed a smile up at Shiro as she felt the wound on her shoulder begin to heal up from the Cure spell. It made her giggle a bit. The healing magic always felt like various levels of tickling to her.

"Thanks Shiro. It was tough, but way too much fun," Adara laughed and tugged at the new hole in her other sleeve. "My sewing skills are gonna be put to the test tonight, I think."

She looked up to see how Alexei was doing to find that he was in a bit of a tough spot but doing something totally epic.

"Come on, Alexei. You can do it!" Adara straightened up suddenly with anticipation. It actually made her a little dizzy.

The girl didn't even realize that she was wringing her hands nervously while she was grinning. She was enjoying herself and afraid at the same time.
