They were only at the base of the mountain when the "scout" of the Black Riders called it down. What a way to sound utterly optimistic.... We're traveling a bit slower than I thought we would, the prince thought. He watched the others unpack. What was he to do? The prince dismounted, and suddenly the wind began to howl.

"Your highness...get down." Amaya murmured to the Prince without looking back. Ideally, she would not have him anywhere near the battle, unfortunately, that wasn't an option at the moment.

Aion heard Amaya loud and clear and ducked down. "Who is it?" he asked to the back of Amaya's hooded head. It wasn't natural for them not to be attacked for so long, and now apparently was a good time to get attacked. He suppressed a grin. Even if he did appear happy all the time, it didn't mean he had to plaster a smile on his face in every unnecessary moment.

((I'm so awesome! I finished reopening the Shadow Chrons! Woo!))
"Well well, as alert as always." Tassador laughed as he dropped down in front of her and the Prince suddenly. "Why don't you be a good little Rider and hand me the prince." He murmured, one scimitar already twirling in his hand as he stuck his staff in the ground, the ruby blinking red once.

"You know Tassador?...It's very sad that you always have to attempt to steal our clients. Maybe if you were better at fighting you would get your own." Amaya mocked as she stood defensively.
((I know! I'm making my profiles now! You should read the poem I posted in the poem section. Lulz.))

((Yay! And I will, I'll pop over there once I post!))
"You know, I don't remember you saying things like that when I broke your wrist last time." He grinned happily. "And I would have gotten farther then that if your partners hadn't helped. But they seem to be vacant right now." He said happily, drawing his second scimitar. "You know, you can always avoid this. You can just join me." He quite liked Amaya, and thus always offered her a position in his Dark Guard before they fought. Her answer was always the same, but Tassador would change that when he finally captured her. "Those other two morons are holding you back."

"A small slip up. But I don't always need my brother and Kray to bale me out." Amaya growled. "I'd rather die than your twisted ideals. At least my brother and Kray have morals!" She hissed. "All you ever have to offer is betrayal.

"Please, I've never betrayed my partners. Your siblings are holding you back." He shrugged. "I'll make you see the light." He added, suddenly sliding forward and jabbing towards her chest.

Amaya moved quickly, blocking his attack and throwing him back. She needed to keep him where she wanted him. "That the best you can do?" She mocked, flipping her scimitars to make a more effective attack.

"Of course not, I was just making sure your wrist was all better. I'd feel bad when I smash you if you're still injured." Tassador sneered back, his eyes flashing as he muttered a spell, his swords suddenly cracking with electricity as he slashed towards her legs.

She jumped into the air, barely dodging Tassador's attack. Still, she did it with the unusual agility of a woman. It was hard to hide things like this, but if she wanted to win, she'd just have to look like a weird guy...

"Pretty light." Tassador commented as he watched the "male" leap up, still surprised at how far she could jump, the male leaping back as she landed. "Come on, stop dodging, you woman. Grow a pair and attack."

Amaya chuckled lightly to herself. One, because of the irony, and two, because she had been connecting with nature the entire time. Roots from the trees began to come around her. Part of Amaya secret was she could connect with nature enough to get it to help her. It was hard and took a lot of concentration and emotion, but it was very beneficial.

"You think your nature will be able to beat my fire and lightning?" Tassador asked mockingly, growling softly as a fireball grew in his hands. "You'll pay for that mistake."

"We'll see." Amaya said as she shrugged. "If you're so sure, attack." She told him, trying to keep his attention on her as tree root crept towards him.
