Kaichou just sat there silently trying very hard to focus his Chakra. His sisters babbling didn't help at all. It just made it worse because he was actually straining to listen to her and pay attention to the jutsu at the same time. He was half tempted to just smack her in the back of the neck and just incapacitate her. Oh..so...tempting. He merely glanced at her with an unamused stare. 'The hell did she mean try so hard?' Kaichou always gave things one-hundred and ten percent! After all, he had his father to look up to. When mom was sick, he had to be the man of the house. That's how it was before mom died. Kaichou winced a bit and continued his concentration on one of Seika's bruises. His chakra was being drained even quicker because it's a new skill. Kai let out a small grunt and shifted his hands over to Seika's side. The bruise he had been working on before seemed to lighten up a bit, but it hadn't fully disappeared. The least he could do was make them less visible. The nice green chakra that engulfed his hands began to dim and flicker a bit. He was struggling to keep it stable.

While healing her bruise. He shot Seika a strange glance. Wondering what she meant by practicing on Shun. Kai supposed it was her normal sarcasm. Shun over all was a nice guy. He couldn't understand why Seika hated him so much. Maybe something happened between them when he wasn't there? ....So they did get intimate! It explains everything. Or maybe that was just his wishful thinking. Yeah...bummer. He knew his sis wouldn't get intimate with a guy she couldn't even stand to be in the same village as. He wouldn't be surprised if she ended up like one of those lady's that had like fifty seven cats at eighty years old. The thought made him shiver. He also noticed that his chakra got a little less shaky. This was good, but it was still taking up a decent amount of his chakra. He'd push it though. Just to see how far his limits can be tested. It was always good to know your limits.

Once he finished an attempt to hide the bruise on her side...Kai moved on back to her arm; The bruise he tried to clean up earlier. Well technically all the bruises were still there, but the half assed mystical palm training sort of made them seem less obvious. He was totally sucking at this. Maybe he needed to concentrate more. Wait no! He was doing that already. Anymore and Kai would probably split the universe in half. Well, that wasn't entirely accurate. He'll leave that subject alone for now. The nice green glow in his hands had subsided once again. This was getting to be difficult. All his chakra was almost gone! If he could just rest...No, he couldn't. The Chunin exams were going to start soon. He needed to finish this and teach Seika whatever it is she wanted to learn. Speaking of...what was he going to teach her? Certainly not anything like 'Great Breakthrough.' No...he had something smaller planned. Hopefully she's a fast learner. Kaichou cocked his head to the side and cracked his neck. It was time to make another attempt to heal the cut on her shoulder. So far he only got the just of the Mystical palm jutsu. If he could only grasp the whole concept of it. Well he wouldn't be here struggling to learn it.

Kaichou made one last batch of hand sign's, his hands glowed a light green color. Only this time it wasn't faint. It was a very strong glow. Kai was putting all his effort into this jutsu. He cupped his hands over Seika's shoulder once more, with a determined look in his eye. The wound itself was pretty nasty. It almost looked infected. Well...that was his fault for irritating it. His look of confidence soon turned into one of discouragement. All of his efforts weren't even making the would scab up! The wound itself remained un-phased yet again. Maybe if he tried harder...No, he had already gave one hundred and ten percent. Was this Kaichou's limit? He felt himself get increasingly weaker. If he didn't stop soon he'd probably collapse. The chakra concentrated in his hands slowly began to dim. He was using too much chakra. Kai could feel the chakra drain him terribly, but he kept going at it anyway. He wasn't going to stop until that wound was completely healed. He also noticed Shun leaving. 'Must be going to the Chunin exams now' He thought with a grunt. This was taking way too long. Or at least...longer than it should. Kaichou still needed to teach Seika that Jutsu. This wasn't good at all. He'd never learn it in time. Kai would just have to pick this up later. The chakra in his hands had only glowed faintly until it fully disappeared. He slumped over with exhaustion. Training was difficult. Kai didn't even have the feeling of accomplishment. Why should he? The wound on Seika's arm was still there. Granted it had closed up a bit since his last attempt, but that wasn't good enough. It needed to be GONE. Heh...As much as he'd like that. Kai had to keep his promise and teach Seika something. It was questionable if he had enough chakra for it, but he'd try his best.

Seika just sat there quietly while Kai did his thing. Only. There was a unsettling silence with her. Her lip was fully pursed in disgust. She was not a happy camper. Finally she said something. ''Kai. Your hands are ON me, Do you seriously think...I CAN'T READ YOUR LEWD THOUGHTS?! NOTHING HAPPENED! NOTHINGNOTHINGNOTHING! SHUNIJI IS A JACKASS AND YOU'RE A SICK MAN!'' Seika barked and raged at him with all her fury. Twin telepathy sucked. You got all the unwanted information. Now if they were the same gender it wouldn't be a problem! Well, that was actually debatable. Seika shook off her thoughts and stood up when Kai looked like he was finished. ''Look, I know you're tired. But we need to really push it. The Chunin exams are going to be starting soon. We don't want to be late now do we?'' She said with a smug grin, holding out her hand. ''Now show me how to do this Jutsu you agreed to teach me.'' Unlike Kaichou, Seika was extremely confident about her ability's. She was most often able to pick up on things very quickly. 'This will be a piece of cake.' Seika thought to herself with a sly grin.

Kaichou gave Seika a deadpanned stare and stood up rather stiffly. His back made a gross popping noise. His sisters lack of concern for his health wasn't surprising. Non the less she had a good point. So for now he'd excuse her rude behavior. Kaichou grabbed Seika's hand and pulled her behind him. It would be stupid to perform this jutsu with somebody in the way, though ideally that was the point. Kai set her hand on his shoulder so she could read the hand sign's in his thoughts. It would help her understand it better.

(Alright, Seika. I'm going to teach you the Wind Snake Jutsu. Pay attention because i will only do this once.)

Kai made a small grunt and began a long string of hand signs. He sure as hell hoped he had enough Chakra for this. Well if he suddenly passed out He'd know why.

(Tiger, Monkey, Rabbit, Rat, Boar, Bird, Ox, Horse, Bird, Tiger, Dog, Tiger, Snake, Ox, Sheep, Snake, Pig, Sheep, Ox, Monkey, Bird, Dragon, Ox, Rat, Boar, Bird.)

As he finished the proper hand signs. A medium sized serpent figure shot out in-front of him. The force of the wind surrounding the figure made Kai step back a couple feet. He watched as the serpent raised it's head and crashed into one of the training dummies, Then dissipated into a few huge gusts of wind. The training dummy was found lying a couple yards away from it's original post. He should really work on that Jutsu. Kai was getting a bit rusty with his element. Kai turned to Seika and gave her a blank stare. He was going to leave. The Otokage wouldn't be pleased if he was nowhere to be found when the Exams started. Kai made a slight wave of his hand to Seika and made his way out of the training arena. She'd have to figure the rest out herself.

Seika watched her brother carefully. Her hand remained on Kai's shoulder. She could even hear the different hand signs he was using. 'Geez. Did the hand signs have to be so long?' How the hell was she going to remember all of that? She could already see herself sucking at this. Before she could do anything else. She was just about blown over by a strong gust of wind from the Wind Snake Jutsu as it shot out. She watched in awe is it tackled it's prey. She didn't know her failure of a brother had any kind of Jutsu like that. Now this she was jealous of. At least he had the courtesy to teach her one of them. 'Heh, this should be a piece of cake.' she thought with a smirk. Seika turned her gaze to Kaichou and watched as he left. ''. . . . Oh ********> He was making her train it ALONE?! How lame!

Seika let out an aggravated sigh and turned back to the direction of the dummy. 'How the hell am i supposed to pull this off?' Technically Seika was paying attention to the directions Kai gave her, but those were a s**t TON of hand signs he made. How was she going to remember all of those? Well might as well try to figure it out. Seika slapped her hands together annnnnnd! That was all she remembered. ''********!'' she shouted and yanked at her own hair. If it wasn't so attached to her head it would have pulled right out. This was definitely a minor set back. 'If i don't figure it out soon, I'll be late for the Chunin exams..' Seika groaned at the thought. Plus the Otokage's watching. She NEEDED to be there. ''Alright, time to be serious.'' She told herself and slowly cracked her knuckles. If she just relaxed. Seika might have a chance at remembering all the hand signs.

'O-okay first was the Tiger i believe.'
She thought and made a single hand sign. ''Hmm, Monkey, rabbit and...Ox?'' This was seriously frustrating. What was worse is that she was contradicting her own words! THIS IS NOT A PIECE OF ******** CAKE! No, much closer to piece of s**t-balls with strawberry on top. 'Ew...forget the strawberry.' There was no sugar coating this training. Seika groaned once more and straightened her posture. Alright time to be serious. ''Tiger, Monkey, Rabbit, Rat, boar, Bird, Ox, Horse, Bird, Tiger, Dog, Tiger, Snake, Ox, Sheep, Snake, Snake, Pig, ******** that's all i know.'' She poke of the hand signs as she made them, but couldn't exactly remember the last few. This was hard. In the midst of her training, Neko had approached Seika and sat beside her, greeting her with a loud meow. Seika merely glanced down at her companion and smiled. ''Not now, I'm busy.'' She replied to the cat and turned her attention back to her flurry of incomplete hand signs.

Seika found herself repeating the hands signs constantly, but she always stopped before the last few. She figured if she kept doing it, her memory would do it's thing, but nothing was happening. Seika sighed and rubbed at her temples. ''Ugh, if i could just remember the next hand sign.'' Her Cat glanced up at her as she spoke, narrowing it's pupils into vertical slits. The small cat then stood on it's fours and backed up a bit. It made a loud meow before ramming it's head into Seika's leg. Over and over. Seika jumped and stumbled around as her Cat continued with it's assassination attempt. ''H-HEY! STOP RUNNING INTO ME LIKE THAT! What are you a damn B-'' It dawned on her. Eureka! ''The Ox!'' she squeaked with a grin. Her cat wasn't being a head case. It was merely trying to help Seika out. The small cat then backed up, shook it's head and wondered off. What a strange animal..

Seika then turned her attention back to the training dummy with a smirk. This time she remembered all the hand signs. Just to be safe she chanted them once more as she sped off making the hand signs quickly and accurately. ''Tiger, Monkey, Rabbit, Rat, boar, Bird, Ox, Horse, Bird, Tiger, Dog, Tiger, Snake, Ox, Sheep, Snake, Snake, Pig, Sheep, Ox, Monkey, Bird, Dragon, Ox, Rat, Boar, Bird!'' Last but not least. ''Wind Snake Jutsu!'' Almost instantly there was a huge wave of air that sent Seika flying backwards. She tried to recover from the fall-back, but ended up landing on her back, finding herself a nice ground rash in the process. This was all caused by her lack of experience with her element. She wasn't taking the Jutsu seriously. The Snake didn't even take it's form before it had exploded in her face. A mistake she payed for with a huge ground rash on her back. She couldn't tell, but she swore she could feel a bit of blood dripping down her back. Or was that sweat? No. Seika wasn't that concentrated in the first place. They must be scrapes or something.

Seika could hear the giggles of the few Shinobi around the area. They seemed to be amused by her 'backfire'. Seika let out a light sigh and painfully winced as she stood up. She glanced at the spectators and raised her middle finger to them. Oh boy that was the MOTHER of all middle fingers. painted nails and all. Others simply laughed, while some had tried to climb the railing and jump off to go kick her a**, Though their teammates had them in a tight grasp. 'Luckily for them.' Seika seethed with a raised brow. She then turned her attention back to the situation at hand. She needed to concentrate and do it right this time. NO mistakes. Seika got in a fighting stance with her legs spread apart from one another and leaned forward a bit. It probably looked funny, but Seika wasn't a fool. She didn't want to be blown over again. She wanted to get in a stance she could hold against the wind.

Before starting. Seika took in a deep breath. 'Alright, concentrate and relax. You can do this.' she told herself and grinned. The spectators seemed to still be laughing at her. Her strange stance wasn't helping either, but none of this bothered Seika. It just made her condescending smile wider. ''Keheh~'' Seika giggled and made a quick flurry of hand signs. ''Wind snake Jutsu!'' Surly enough the surrounding wind that was visible, took the form of a Snake. A very angry one at that. Not a moment later it took off making a quick zigzag, but it wasn't heading towards the Training dummies. It was headed for the Shinobi sitting just on the railing. A couple of them managed to scramble away before it got to them, but the few unlucky people got completely blown off the railing as the Medium sized wind serpent crashed into them. It made a loud whistling noise. Very close to the sound of a tornado. Only less frightening. Even Seika was pushed a few feet away from her original spot. Though she was satisfied with her work. This jutsu wasn't strong enough to Kill a person or really harm them, it served as a good knock-back jutsu. To keep people away from her while she casts her genjutsu or any other occasion that called for it.

After the jutsu was long gone, Seika sighed in relief. She was worried that she'd never get it, but she found her motive. 'Thank you jack asses~' Well, now it was time to hurry over to the Chunin exams. Seika left with the feeling of great accomplishment.

User ImageShuniji appeared in the corridor leading from the halls of the lower floors of Sound to the training hall. At least, the man claimed to be Shuniji. Even the way he carried himself was completely off from usual. He was garbed in plain, loose clothing that couldn't even decide if it were white, gray or beige, stained around the edges with paint and flecks of blood. His hair hung loose and free of beads, framing the most striking aspect of his appearance: a hideous, green oni mask. Emblazoned upon its forehead were the kanji for "humiliation".

He drifted off to the far wall of the arena, beneath the balcony and ran over the events of the Exam, which he'd only just received word of.

Ichite-ru had lost the round after he did. Then the guy after that lost. That put Shuniji at fourth place. FOURTH PLACE. That was how much he was worth!? Not even children's games acknowledged fourth place!

And here Shuniji was, dressed as an oni. The irony made him seethe.

He stared vacantly at the sparring matches going on before him. He'd only just been healed and everything was still settling. He had been quiet the entire procedure, and on the way back to his apartment for new clothes, he'd even passed by his parents. He hadn't bothered telling them how he did in the Exam, but muttered something about needing a new megaphone. His mother had responded with some sort of nod or blink Shuniji couldn't definitively recognize as confirmation. His father hadn't even looked at him.

Fine. Shuniji didn't want to be looked at right now, anyway.

He had returned home and trashed the apartment. He nearly crippled himself again when he kicked an open paint can into a shelf. By the time he found some suitable clothing, he'd broken every reflective surface in the tiny room.

The most plain clothing he owned were the ones he used when he painted the walls--some stained hospital clothing. He looked like an asylum patient who escaped during finger painting.

Shuniji craned his neck and looked up through the slatted, metal balcony above him and watched a couple people pass by. He pretended he was a troll underneath a bridge. He needed to train. He wanted to train, but his mood was preventing him from figuring how to go about doing so. Maybe it was the mask's lack of visible eye and air holes, but everything just felt fuzzy and far away.
PostPosted: Fri Apr 30, 2010 9:58 am

Shuniji couldn't quite be sure whether it had been five minutes or five hours before he finally stopped staring at the ceiling and thought seriously about doing something.

He wasn't about to hang around and mope. He had a job to do! Well... that was how the Otokage worded it. As much as he respected their omnipotent leader, Shuniji always had a hard time deciphering exactly what he was being told to do.

Regardless, Shuniji wasn't one to sulk... at least not seriously or for very long. He'd been running over numerous scenarios in which he could at the very least stand a chance against Ichite-ru in a fight. There weren't very many. Shuniji was confident his dokumishi could do the deed with enough effort, but that didn't solve the problem of getting close enough, and Shuniji wasn't naive enough to not factor in the possibility Ichite-ru would be training as well.

Shuniji had heard gossip in the hallways about what had happened after his match. At first he dismissed the chatter as a hallucination brought on by a recent trip to the laboratories, but when seven more ninja started talking animatedly about the same thing, Shuniji nearly passed out again.

He missed a Tailed Beast sighting? He missed a Tailed Beast sighting!?

And then it dawned on Shuniji that he had kicked a Tailed Beast's host in the face and he did pass out again. He'd woken up a little while later, thankful the mask obscured his eyes and that no one thought to draw all over his face... again.

Shuniji sweatdropped at the memories. He'd missed out on seeing the first sighting of Shukaku since the Sound Village's first participation in the Chunin Exam during the reign of the First Otokage, and now he didn't have a face. How was he supposed to fix this mess!?

...And then the dots connected. First Chunin Exam. First Otokage. Faces.

Shuniji gleefully found his will to train.

After getting back from the all so famous drama Chunin exams. Seika was completely exhausted. Not that she did anything in the first place, but the unexpected events seemed to have kicked at her consciousness the whole time. Who knew that spectating would be so tiresome? No wonder the Otokage didn't wanna show up! Well, he probably had his reasons...in which Seika would never question. Plus that Kazekage was an annoying little squawker...The Otokage would make him seem like a little girl in comparison! Then again, that kind of thinking would get her killed in a heart-beat. Maybe it was her way of showing her appreciation for the Otokage. Earning respect out of fear? Well, it works at least. Despite how exhausted Seika appeared to be. She was elated that Ren passed the exams. It almost made her skip all the way home! Though out of paranoia she just casually walked. She seemed to change a lot of things ever since that....meeting with the Otokage. Maybe it was because she felt like her every move was being monitored twenty four seven.

After returning home for a quick shower and change of clothes of course. because she was a clean freak. Seika decided to go hang around the training area, So she could have a go at some new Jutsu she had read up on. They didn't look too hard...Though they ALL took a decent amount of Chakra to do. So she needed to find a way to somehow obtain more chakra...instead of sitting around and meditating all day. Of course Seika had already thought about this. Her research didn't really turn out to be what she expected...or even wanted. At least she had a few things she wanted to try out, but it would require her to do something she wouldn't be proud of. The mere thought made her whole body shiver in disgust.

With a small book in hand, she made her way around the lower catacombs of the training area. It was sort of dark, but her eyes had already adjusted to the dim lighting. She glanced around the area, looking for somebody to pick on. Though for some reason Seika couldn't bring herself to walk up to random people and ask them such strange favors. Not to mention she wasn't really the social type. 'Arrrrg!' This wasn't going anywhere! Seika rubbed at her temples and sighed in aggravation. She had been so wrapped up in her own anger, she hadn't been paying attention to where she was going and ended up running into Shun's side. Seika stumbled backwards and dropped her book on the ground. After she recovered her footing, she bent down to pick up her book without looking at the person she had ran into. ''Er...Sorry, you know you should really watch where you're going.'' Seika was clearly blaming the the victim for her own clumsiness. Though when she finally got a good glance at who she'd run into, Her mouth dropped. ''M-monst- Oh wait...Shun is that you?'' She asked with a rather meek expression. Seika wasn't quite sure what she was looking at. 'Was that really him?' She thought and pressed her index finger to her lip, trying to figure out why the hell he looked like he'd just come back from a shitty Halloween party. 'Blond hair...painfully bright high-lights. Though the clothes don't look like something he'd wear..'

Shuniji was in the middle of pushing himself off the wall he'd been leaning against, passion for training lit anew, when a small figure bumped against him. He looked down at the figure quickly, sweatdropping when they immediately blamed him for the contact.

'Nice to see you down from your pedestal,' Shuniji thought with a hint of bitterness. He hated she was so high up above him in the stands at the Exam. For a moment, he resisted sneering, but remembered he was wearing a mask and went for it.

The face-wear was proving to be more useful by the second. He almost smiled at Seika's gaping expression when she saw it.

"Haven't seen you in a while," he chided playfully with a short wave. He wore red nail polish with surprisingly few chips, given his profession... was that glitter in the paint..?

Shuniji tilted his head as Seika looked him over.

"It's the only outfit I have that isn't torn to pieces from training," he explained calmly with a tinge of exasperation. It wasn't the entire truth, but he wasn't about to tell Seika about the little breakdown he had earlier.

"...Do you need something..?" he asked finally. Seika seemed preoccupied with her own thoughts and she was carrying a book. Shuniji put two and two together quick enough to assume she was going to practice a new jutsu. If such was the case, he at least wanted to know what it was, even if he wasn't exactly in the mood to help.

...Not unless he could get something out of it, that is. The thought briefly crossed Shuniji's mind that he use Seika in his training experiment, but quickly nixed the idea. Even if he was pissed as hell at Seika, it wouldn't do him much good to harm her and make an enemy of Kaichou. There were other uses for her besides a punching bag.

Shuniji quirked an eyebrow and smiled. He had a thought.

Seika blinked for a moment, taken back a bit by his tone. She couldn't tell what kind of facial expressions he had. So it was difficult for her to react normally. Though she tried her best to keep a straight face. His mask wasn't helping at all. 'Why couldn't it be a cute and cuddly bunny mask or something?' Seriously. It was like Satan meets prehistoric Hulk. Despite her lingering thoughts about the mask. She was still able to pay attention to what he was saying. 'His last outfit looked better, It was more...upbeat looking.' Wait a minute...was she complementing his clothing? In a small way it would seem. Though anybody would completely agree that pink is better than Grey. Once again her thoughts were interrupted when she heard his last question and quickly responded with a high pitched squeal; Like somebody had pinched her. ''NOTHING,NOTHINGATALL!'' Seika was so defensive she almost dropped her book again. After juggling it for a few brief seconds, she straightened her awkward posture and laughed uncomfortably. ''Er...Well, there is a couple of things i've been wanting to practice, b-but one of them.'' She paused for a moment, trying to pull out a few notes from the book. Was Seika really going to tell him anything? The way she scrambled around for her notes actually seemed like she was just buying time by acting like she was busy doing something. It wasn't working at all. It just made her seem like one of those nerds scrambling to reorganize their new Pokemon cards that just got stomped on the ground. ''Did i tell you that your new outfit matches your eyes?'' Conversation changing? That's not going to work with Shun either. Even Seika knew that, Yet she did it anyway.

She needed to calm the hell down and explain it. If Seika can't learn this jutsu, she'll be in big trouble if she winds up stranded with no chakra. 'JUST TELL HIM ABOUT THE ******** JUTSU YOU PANZY!' Her conscience screamed at her, but all Seika could do was mumble a sentence or two. ''I was going to work on a Ch-chakra absorption technique. As well as a few other jutsu I've taken an interest in, b-but I'm having some trouble with one of them'' Nice..she spat it out, but it was still vague.

Shuniji visibly twitched at the eye comment. Seika knew how much he hated the color gray, and now his eyes couldn't even be seen behind the stupid mask.

'I swear to the Otokage, if she comments on the kanji, I will--' but he cut his thoughts off. He knew he couldn't do anything to her.

He noticeably relaxed as he forced himself into taking a couple deep breaths. Not making snarky retorts was hard work.

His ears perked up at Seika's sudden change in tone, though. Her suspicious behavior was irresistible to Shuniji's busy-body personality. He leaned forward just a touch and strained to shift through the mumbling.

She was asking him for help? Wow, the day was just getting better and better. Shuniji smiled widely, and his body seemed to just ooze a glowing aura of pride. Darn skippy, he was awesome enough to ask for help from. He'd happily oblige!

Being nice to Seika suddenly became worlds easier. Shuniji put on his most gentle smile, even if it wasn't necessary. He still looked like an angry turtle.

"What technique is it? Maybe I can help," He offered calmly. He was even polite enough to make sure other shinobi didn't hear she was having trouble.

Shuniji was never one to refuse helping somebody out if they asked for it--he was always way too happy they thought of him as a go-to person to ever object. It was a little weird for him to be so relaxed about it. Perhaps it was just the mask concealing his obviously elated expression and muffling his voice.

The moment Shun had asked, she flinched for a split second. Not because of the way he had asked, but the though of explaining this jutsu made her feel sick to her stomach. That was weird..''W-well...'' she began hesitantly. This was a lot harder than she thought...After clearing her throat for a moment, she continued nervously. ''I-it's a jutsu where the user d-drains the Chakra from a p-person through a-K-k-GAH!'' Seika had a hard time spitting out the last word. She let out an aggravated groan and glanced away from Shun, avoiding eye contact with his...Soul piercing mask holes that served as his eyes. There was no way she could ask Shun...they were Rivals! Why would she ever ask him for help? Or for that matter..why would he help her with something like that. It was weird...B-but she didn't know anybody else...and last time she checked Kaichou had his mouth sewed sh-NO, NOT HIM, NOT IN A MILLION YEARS, NEVER EVER! Okay we get the point. So, really all that was left was...well, Shun. She had no friends...Where was Neko when you need her? Seika didn't have time for this. She needed to man up and spit it out. 'Man up...OH GOD THAT'S NOT HELPING!' Seika almost let out a small cry at her torturing thoughts. After a few moments of silently sulking to herself, she crossed her arms and cleared her throat. She could do this...''In order to perform this jutsu...it requires that I...ehm, Kiss somebody..'' If Seika could shrivel up and die, now would be the perfect moment. Any attempts to make fun of her would easily be welcomed. Indeed Seika felt like she had just bashed a kittens head in and asked it for forgiveness. 'I hate myself i hate myself!' She chanted to herself, quietly. While still trying her best to avoid eye contact with Shun. This was too awkward.

Shun blinked slowly. The oxygen deprivation must've been worse than he'd previously assumed. He was starting to hear things.

From the outside, Shun appeared completely stoic, though comedic sweatdrops were starting to form in great numbers on the back of his neck as he processed what he just heard.

"And you want to practice this jutsu... on me..." he stated with great effort. For once he wasn't quite sure what to say.

"I... I'm not... While I... You know the age difference causes this to be considered a felony in most nations, right..?"

Shuniji had a hard enough time staving off Kaichou's unwarranted sexual advances, and despite protecting both Kaichou's and his own purity for the duration they'd known each other, he'd still somehow managed to garner the reputation of being a *****. A gay *****, that is, and even in Sound, that's creepy behavior.

At least Seika didn't look thirteen... NO. NO. NO--RATIONALIZING WAS NOT THE RIGHT THING TO BE DOING RIGHT NOW. NO.

Shuniji's repressed face-palm manifested in a twitch in his arm, and a shiver of disgust down his spine. He looked down at Seika and tried very hard to keep an even tone of voice.

"...Y-You really need this jutsu..?"

Argh. It pained him to take this course of action, but he couldn't help but agree that Seika needed a way to maintain her chakra reserves when he wasn't around to buff her and Kaichou--especially now that his megaphone was probably reduced to shards of plastic sand scattered somewhere across the Exam Arena.

The nausea intensified. He needed to get in touch with his parents to get a new one...

Having found something he wanted to think about less than spending time with Seika, Shuniji regained his bearings and straightened his posture.

"Do you know the hand signs? The required amount of chakra? How to direct the flow properly? How much practice have you had with draining techniques thus far?"

He'd taken on his infamous "teacher voice", where he'd ramble incessantly if he didn't get immediate clarification. It was admirable he was at least trying to be professional about the whole ordeal, whether it be for Seika's sake, or his own.

Seika deadpanned at his reaction to her request. It was understandable...and awkward to say the least. She crossed her left arm under her chest and stuck her nose up like some snob. ''Pfft, Please...If i had a choice it definitely wouldn't be with you!'' Seika remarked, sticking her right hand in the air making a 'talk to the hand' gesture. Technically there were plenty of people out there, but only a few whom she'd rather attempt this jutsu on. Seika lowered her hand and tried what looked like an attempt at being serious. Though it just turned into a gun shy, Sidelong glance. ''B-besides, You're the only person here I trust.'' That was rather bold of Seika, but at least it was the truth. Normally everything she ever said to Shuniji had some sort of hidden insult in her statements. Though she still hadn't answered his last few questions. Which were actually the most important, but Seika was absolutely clueless about this new 'draining' technique. Come to think of it...she wasn't quite sure what the hand sign for it was, but she couldn't tell Shun that! Seika was supposed to be smart. It would probably boost his ego if he found out. She glanced at him with what looked like a straight face and answered with a small shrug. ''Well, None. I'm a genjutsu specialist, Not a cirus freak....though i bet you could qualify for-'' NO,WAIT A MOMENT! That's no way to treat somebody who's actually trying to help out! Bad Seika, bad! ''Sorry, Shun. I've never practiced any type of draining technique before, but i do know the hand sign required.'' She rephrased calmly and raised both her hands in apology. Finally realizing she had dropped the book she was holding, again.

Once Seika picked the book up. She flipped through the pages until she found what she had been looking for. The article on the jutsu itself. Seika glanced up at Shun, giving him a horrible attempt at a crooked smile. She was totally clueless. Nor did she know how to direct her chakra flow properly for this skill, much less take it from somebody else. Seika stuffed the book under her arms and made a single hand sign. 'Monkey' ''Er...this is the right hand sign..'' She was actually just talking to herself at this point. It was clear that trying to look smart wasn't working for her at all. Well, she got the hand sign down. All that was left was...Seika glanced up at shun for a moment and almost immediately stumbled backwards, breaking her hand sign in the process of almost falling on her rear. She made a small squeak and regained her balance. If looking at him made her freak out...there was NO way she could even get near him. Seika straightened her posture and crossed her arms with an embarrassed look on her face. ''T-that's all i know!'' She squeaked stubbornly, trying her best not to look at Shun. This might take a while..

Seika's facade wasn't fooling anyone; least of all Shuniji. He of all people knew a thing or two about being fake.

Shuniji hadn't moved, but the pity seeping through his mask was tangible.

He carefully moved a hand to his face and popped his mask from its position, and rotated it so just his mouth was visible. He had meant to take the Uncanny Valley aspect away from this tutoring session, but the concept of rotating his face to the side had backfired and created an even creepier effect.

It wasn't helping that he could still somehow see without having any eye holes now.

His lips creased in thought as he patiently watched Seika's "attempt". With his eyes still hidden, one couldn't be sure whether Shuniji was restraining a grimace or a smirk.

But for the record, it was the latter.

"Didn't the academy teach you anything about chakra manipulation?" Shuniji chastised, arms folded, "There's more to jutsu than shoving your chakra in any given direction. You're just lucky your clan has a natural talent for genjutsu or you'd be completely helpless. No wonder you had such issues learning to use elemen--"

Shuniji cut himself off and sighed. He pressed a knuckle to his lips to quiet his criticism. Normally he wouldn't care what others thought of his completely true rantings, but he knew things wold get really difficult really fast if he managed to offend Seika.

He took a deep breath and continued, "Molding chakra is a delicate process. I know I don't use draining techniques, but it's a similar concept when I use my megaphone to give chakra to others. It just works in reverse."

As exasperated as he sounded, Shuniji was easily the best person in the room to go to for learning moves related to the flow of chakra, given he specialized in buffing teammates. There weren't a whole lot of Sound ninja that were interested in anything short of complete devastation when it came to jutsu, much less those that fostered teamwork.

Then again, Shuniji wasn't interested in teamwork either, but in the ninja world, you play the hand you're dealt.

"Regardless of nature, all human chakra works the same way, so when you... make contact with your jutsu, imagine latching onto the target's chakra with your own, and then pulling it back in, like a solid strand."

Shuniji nodded, proud of his description.

"The victim will undoubtedly struggle, though, so watch that you don't get your own chakra drained in the process. Are you ready to try?"

He gestured to the booklet with a shake of his head, indicating for Seika to look up the real signs necessary for the jutsu.

So far, Shuniji had been a very complying instructor in the whole scenario. He had been mildly surprised by Seika's sudden confession of trust towards him, even if he hadn't really been intended to hear that bit. Still... as flattered as he was, Shuniji wasn't about to let his guard down as her temporary teacher. He wasn't in any conceivable way the trusting type, and he was still interested in how exactly Seika had managed to survive losing both the mission competition and her round of the Chunin Exam.

If she tried anything, he wouldn't hesitate to use her in his own training.

Seika stood there quietly with one eye open, listening to Shun's educational advise. It was helpful, but the feeling of hostility still remained with her. 'Doing this with your hands is one thing. But using your lips....it's a whole new ball game that I'm not really equipped for.' In Seika's opinion, that is. Maybe if she wasn't such a prude. This would be at least attempt-able. Though even her own conscience seemed to be kicking her about this. 'It wasn't a big deal. This is training. It's not like this means anything.' If only Seika didn't immediately shut out those thoughts. At least Shun seemed to be taking this seriously, but the mask was still freakishly grotesque looking. Her eye twitched as she turned to fully face Shun. He was explaining the process of 'Chakra molding' and such. Of course..Seika wasn't stupid. She could understand him, but her lack of interest in being mature about the scenario seemed to be overwhelming. She almost sweat-dropped at the example he had given her. 'Yeah...great, only you managed to make it seem like I'm some sort of succubus or something.' Her eye twitched at the mental image it gave her. It wasn't something she really wanted to imagine herself as- No, it wasn't like that at all. This was a standard jutsu. Any normal sound nin wouldn't have any problems learning something like this. 'Because they're a bunch a freaks.' She didn't bother to re-think about the standard jutsu half. Seika just thought of it that way to motivate herself. Only that seemed to backfire horribly.

When Shuniji finished talking, Seika pressed her fingers against her eye lids in a sort of rubbing motion. This was all too difficult for her to approach normally. She answered her Sensei with a short. ''Alright, I get it.'' Seika sighed for a moment and took the book from under her arm, flipping it open and skimming through it with an almost sickened look on her face. Though mostly it was just her approach on this jutsu that made her nervous enough to puke. She paused for a moment, reading through the page of the selected jutsu, And saw something she completely missed. 'The last person that used this jutsu was the 'provocative' type. Good looks, no heart.' Figures Seika couldn't bring herself to attempt this jutsu. Though Seika could recall a time when her mother tried to teach her about the opposite gender and how love works, but she had been too busy doing her own thing to even pay attention. Seika should have listened...there might have been something useful she could have learned. When her mother passed, Eventually the conversation had been brought up by her busy father. Though he was completely straight forward and explained it like it was an inevitable action that was capable of destroying your life. It had a different effect on her than it did Kai...seeing how the speech made Kai the way he is now. You could imagine how one sided he made the awkward conversation that was clearly in favor of the male dominance. Seika died a little inside and never felt the same about that subject. Ever. But this wasn't love. It was strictly training and there was nothing wrong with how the jutsu is preformed. It was hard convincing herself to believe this.

Seika glanced up at Shun once more, snapping the book shut with her hand. She lightly sighed and took a step forward. Though her attention was pulled over to the few shinobi who were actually spectating the both of them, chucking between themselves. Seika raised a brow expectantly at them. It appears she wasn't the only one who was being immature about this. Though she assumed they were just laughing at Seika's random spaz moments. This caused her to adopt a discouraged expression on her face. She glanced back up at Shun with the same look. This wasn't going to be an easy thing to approach. With a small groan, Seika tossed the book on the ground next to her feet and brought her hands together, making a single hand sign. Surprisingly this didn't require a huge flurry of hand sign's like her Wind snake jutsu had. Though even after she made the hand sign...Seika just sort of stood there like a stunned deer. Her mind urged her to move, but her legs just sort of locked in place. Since when did training become so difficult? After all, who wouldn't want a chance to potentially harm Shun? Though it seems the only way to do that was....well, not the way she had expected or even wanted. Seika opened her mouth as if she was about to say something, but quickly silenced herself. Something was...wrong.

The Music stopped.

Every now and again her music player had a tendency to re-boot itself in mid shuffle. It was only because it had gotten overheated from being on 24/7. It's understandable. Seika tried her best not to panic. She didn't want to alert Shun that her Music player died. It would give him a logical reason to attack her, and possibly kill her. Seika's mind had slowly gone blank, while her eyes seemed to take on a glazed over appearance as she took only a few staggered steps towards Shun, mumbling something almost unreadable.
"The sights of hell bring its viewers back in" Was she talking about the spectators? Most likely...it wouldn't make sense otherwise. Seika clapped her hands together, making a single hand-sign. 'Snake' With a small child-like gigle. Seika gripped Shun's forearms and glanced up at him with a crack-brained smile. Seika was completely nuts. Who in their right mind would even touch Shun? Much less try an attempt at kissing him. Well, Sane Seika wouldn't. You know...that Music player could finish restarting again...Sometime now would be nice.
