"Trouble hardly." Rena said with a soft snort. She watched him for a moment trying to determine what the man was thinking. She was however quickly distracted as a flash of light from a flash light caught her eye. Whoever was coming was getting much closer, she could hear their heartbeats now. She watched amused as Garret launched himself at the humans that had unfortunately crossed their path. "Hmmm interesting technique." She said walking up to the dazed human. Picking him up to her level she sank her fangs into his neck draining what blood she needed from him before carefully snapping his neck. "Well now that we are done with this escapade we shall be off correct?" she questioned.

He takes a deep breath the responds "Do you have enough blood to heal that wound and still not need to feed again? Ok we should start finding a path out. I know there is a fire escape around here because it's standard issue, but that may set off an alarm. Fire door alarms are often connected to the secondary power and I could not find that circuit." He looks to Rena and realizes that probably feel on deaf ears considering most of what he talked about was made after she was put to sleep.

"The wound has already begun to close there will be no need to worry about it now." Rena said nodding. Rena looked confused as he began speaking about fire escapes and alarms being set off and not finding the circut. She was terribly confused. "I believe this is why you should not leave me alone when we escape." Rena said taking the opportunity to make her point.

"Just follow me and keep your ears open ok? " Was all Garret could be respond with. With all his fighting her and clever retorts, she in one line left him completely and utterly dumbfounded. Unable to find any kind of comeback he creeps down the hallway trying to focus on the task at hand. He couldn't believe that without thinking he ended up digging is own hole and might as well given her the shovel loaded with the first pile patch of dirt. He whispers to himself "I'm being so sloppy tonight." Garret was now stuck with Rena and he was not going to be able to get out of this. Not with her being one step ahead of him.

Rena nodded agreeing her to ears open. She followed Garret along the hallways wondering if he was paying attention to where he was going. She lifted her head stopping as she heard footsteps running towards her. She noticed Garret hadn't noticed, the man was too consumed in his thoughts. She raced forward snapping the neck of one human that had come upon them and bashing another across the head with the night stick. "Sloppy if you call this sloppy than I want to see your worst!" Rena demanded angrily. "Think later get us out of here now!" she demanded.

"My worst I didn't go charging into the enemy. I knew they were coming but I wait till they get close. There is not point wasting energy on something that is already bond to happen." he frustratingly replied. True she did hear the enemy before him she was already running past him when he heard the foot steps. Garret walks to the guard who Rena bashed his face in then cracks the mans spin killing him. He then pulls out a gun from the holster "These hurt and they have a greater range then a fist or club. Enough shots will take us down. Second blood draws attention, even to Humans. We don't need to leave a trail; your kills need to be cleaner. Finally mind your own business." Even through all this he had made the biggest mistake of all, not paying attention. One burst of speed ahead of me now. " w e need to find stairs. We are on the forth floor of this building and we need to reach the first. There are several routs out of here and we need to find the safest one. Kill sparingly that is how you become hard to track. The shadows are still our territory. .....for now at least"

"The enemy did not see me, they sure as hell saw you." Rena growled angrily. Why couldn't a male just admit he was wrong instead of trying to defend his pride which had had nothing to do with it. She watched as Garret completely killed the man she had only bashed in the face. Rena threw her hands in the air as Garret told her, her kills needed to be cleaner and to mind her own business. She had had enough of this man, she didn't care if he left after he was done leading her out now. "You...you are a droning fool-born giglet!" Rena insulted finally fed up.

With pure bewilderment Garret tried to form a clever retort then tried to grasp enough thoughts to come up with a any response to that. Even it the dark a blind man could see the bewilderment on his face. All of a sudden memories long buried in his mind suddenly whacked him in the back of the head. he slightly chuckles then responds "How about you criticize when you have a post to stand on?" he shakes his head. "That is what I used to hear after that.... wait that's what you call a ....... I cut my hair since the last time I was called a giglet."

"I do not need a post to stand on when facing the stupidity of a weedy sheep-biting barnacle!" Rena said arms crossed against her chest now. "It matters not to me whether or not you have cut your hair." She continued. "I have no memory of you therefore I can only assume to call you as what I see you now. Be it a gorbellied bunch-backed flirt-gill or a lumpish tickle-brained dogfish." She continues with her insults feeling quite assured of herself.

"Yes you can and all it will do is take longer for us to get out. I suggest taking some advice and temper your pride. I have nothing to prove to you so nothing I have been doing is anything but teaching. In this age and especially this place there is method to my actions. The reason I say be careful is because if you slip up here there is no going back. Place a bit of faith and follow me." Garret responds to her and then starts heading back down the hallway. He stops for a second without turning around and responds "I will apologize. Being alone for decades makes one forget how to be civil, especially when all you do is hunt and fight."

"Temper my pride, you should sharpen your tongue. You have nothing to prove and yet you seem to think so high of yourself. If there were a method to your actions you would have told me so already. I know you are working to get us out of here but besides that your every wish is to get rid of me. You get your wish, once you get me out of here i'll be out of your way." Rena said with a bit of a growl.

"Or I could leave you here by yourself. Every time I try and help you attack me both physically and verbally. If you think you can do this yourself be my guest. But you act like a cornered animal, attacking anything that gets near you." Garrets responds starting his conversation in frustrated voice then ending it almost growling back. "So do you want my help or not?" he colorfully and sternly barks at her locking eyes with Rena.

"You have deserved every physical attack you have received from me, if I recall correctly you agreed with me on that fact before. While all my words and insults you may not have deserved at the time seem to have come back and had a place later." Rena growled. "My solution would have been to find the first door and/or human get them to lead us out and then just get away but you insist on being overly stealthy are you some sort of low class ninja?" she questioned. She glared at him as they locked eyes.

"No I just believe in subtlety is important. We are shadows of the night not barbarians. And well I admit I deserved some of the attacks you gave me but all this is avoiding my question" Garrent responds taking a step closing and maintaining eye lock. "Do you want my help or not?"

Rena gave a small snort of indifference as she crossed her arms across her chest at his lecture. "I would appreciate your help," she finally admitted. "The buildings are far more complex than they used to be."
