Private performance from Miranda
Quaker Chewy Granola Bars have long been an afterschool favorite loved by kids and moms alike. Now to make afterschool even more special, Quaker Chewy is giving parents a chance to win a free private afterschool performance for their kids hosted by actress and recording artist Miranda Cosgrove. And better yet, the winner can invite 300 guests to this one-of-a-kind good time.
As the Official Snack of Afterschool, Quaker Chewy Granola Bars are a great snack option to help keep kids going between 3 pm and 6 pm, just before dinner. Now made with half a serving of whole grains (8 grams) and no high fructose corn syrup, Quaker Chewy Granola Bars provide goodness for kids' active lives.
As the star of Nickelodeon's highest rated live-action show "iCarly," Miranda appeals to both kids and parents with her clever humor and family-friendly charm. Her debut solo album hits stores this spring, followed by a role in the animated film "Despicable Me" this summer. The Quaker Chewy Afterschool Rocks sweepstakes gives her fans one of the first chances to experience her new music live.
In addition to the sweepstakes, Miranda will be working with Quaker Chewy and the Afterschool Alliance to raise awareness about the importance of afterschool programs, especially in underserved communities. Parents can learn more and enter the Quaker Chewy Afterschool Rocks sweepstakes by visiting www.QuakerOats.com/afterschoolrocks. The web site also provides information about Miranda and her favorite activities.
"I'm so excited that Quaker Chewy is giving me the chance to play for my fans," said Miranda. "I can't wait to perform my newest songs live and in person in front of this special audience."
Miranda's performance will be held in or near the winner's hometown. The winner will be selected by a random drawing on or about April 28, 2010. No purchase necessary. Open to legal residents of the 48 continuous United States or the District of Columbia, who are 18 years or older as of February 8, 2010. See Official Rules for details at Quakeroats.com/afterschoolrocks

Dan Q&A Dan S, the writer and producer of iCarly posted on his blog about his two shows, iCarly and Victorious. You can see the post here Below are some questions he answered concerning iCarly.
Is anyone from the cast leaving the show?
Nope. They're all staying: Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor. And you'll still be getting plenty of Noah Munck ("Gibby") too. And all the other recurring iCarly characters.
How many more seasons of iCarly will there be?
The word "season" can get confusing. It used to be clearer, back in the day. Now, the term has become a bit vague. So, let's look at it this way...
I've made 70 episodes of iCarly. I'm pretty sure that 63 have already aired. There are 7 new episodes (one of them a one-hour special) that you haven't seen yet.
Currently, I've been asked by the network to make at least 26 more episodes. And there could be more after that!
As far as I'm concerned, as long as the fans want more episodes of iCarly, and as long as the cast wants to keep making them, I'll keep writing and producing them.
Since you're doing Victorious now, does that mean you're going to leave iCarly?
Nope. 100% absolutely not. iCarly is like my child. I created the show from scratch, and I love it. I've been running the show since the very first episode, and I've never missed one. I've been on stage with the actors and directors for every scene of every episode. I have no intention of changing that.
There are producers who create shows, run them for a season or two, and then "hand off" the series to someone else so they can go do other projects. That's not me. When I create a new series I don't abandon it. Because, to me, that's like letting someone else raise your kid. I can't do it.
But how can you be in charge of iCarly and Victorious at the same time?
Easy. The shows are not in production at the same time. We alternate the production cycles. That way, I'm able to give both shows 100% of my attention.
