Nariel felt rather then heard her people's sigh of relief, relief she could not share. His thought words echoed in her head, but despite her personal fear, she was happy for her people.
Outwardly, she presented herself as a grateful subject, "My people are honor and humbled by our newly appointed position in the City. I would indeed like very much to have an alliance with your house. And hope that through our alliance, we can proceed to a better future for all."
She even mustered a close mouth smile, which was something rare. The tension is her people slackened and many presented a more open vibe. They were hopeful, she was fading.
Nariel felt drained. She need to sit, rest, and gather herself. Rushed alliance or not, the fault of that incident are mine to bare.

Smiling to himself, Val'atar turns back to Nariel and gives her a nod of approval. Once his face is hidden from the crowd, the good humor vanishes like water down a crevasse. Fierce eyes of crimson slowly turn a golden yellow as he watches her. His voice remains inspirational and hopeful, but his features betray the truth as he speaks.
House Druu'giir accepts your alliance matron, I look forward to our next meeting where we can discuss the finer details. Until then, I bid your house best wishes and pray that our Lord keeps you.. safe."
After having spoken his peace, he folds his arms around himself and vanishes in to nothingness. Not a sound nor shadow remains after he has past. Nothing, but the memory of his eyes, feral and golden boring into her soul..

Nariel was surprised she could hold herself up so well with the Ilharn Druu'giir staring her down.
He understood her people's need, but he would not forgive Nariel for her decision to ally herself with the Alearnae. It didn't matter to her, because he people were secure. For now.
With his words done, Nariel had expected him to leave as he had entered. Instead he cause a tense silence as he disappeared. For a long second, she didn't move, she swore she could still feel those hateful eyes.
Her people on the hand were excited, whispering about their new position. "Calm down, all of you,''She said softly. "We will have to tell the people. If you too masters of you skill wouldn't mind, please return to your centers and spread the news. Vilmur, go and find the announcers. Tell them of our new position and our alliance with the Druu'giir House. Quickly so that we can celebrate our move along with the return of Lord of the City."
They all nodded and then rushed off to spread the news. Meanwhile, Nariel let out a sigh and turned to Chaldor.
"He was not please. Not with you." He said simply guessing.
"Yes, well...I didn't expect him to believe me, my lovely mix of truths and lies, but he will never look at this House with full favor in til I'm gone or maybe we're all gone." She shuffled up to her throne, but didn't sit. Instead she placed her hand on the side of the chair and leaned in. "Chaldor, I need you to...I need..."
Chaldor bowed deeply, "Don't worry, I understand. You are the backbone and heart of our clan,...I will see that your will is done. " With that he turned and left Nariel who was now slumped in her throne.

To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you.To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair.NOOOOOOOO!!!!! You can't close down your house. I had a plan!! Come back, come back!! *Sniffle* Okay fine...My your house RIP. Rest in pieces. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget.
