My name is nightwings I live in Arizona (for school, not joy) I am a 23 year old business student.
I like all kinds of food and am constantly looking for awesome new recipes. Lately I have really been wanting some deviled eggs. I both bake and cook and have made over 20 wedding cakes. I love cinnamon and how it can be used in ways that are not traditional to American cooking.
I would say I am intermediate when it comes to skill. I believe cooking is really zen and I love taking things and making them into new stuff.

Thanks for letting me join! My name is Leah Anderson, and I live in Indianapolis. I can cook, bake, and completely mess up on a project. I call cooking, projects because it seems like a planned scene; gathering ingredients, measuring, etc... I would say i'm more of a intermediate because i have cooked for weddings, and a potluck. However, I do not think I am an expert. I find cooking a passion and love every part of it. I hope to enjoy this guild, thanks again! Oh, and my favorite thing to make are sauces~ 3nodding

^__^ hello, I'm Sushii! I'm fourteen, turning 15 this year and I live in Melbourne, but I come from Sweden. My favorite food is Sushi (Obviously <3) and my favorite things to cook are Tori no kara-age,burritos and stir fries. Another favorite of mine is Raclette. I do both cooking and baking. My favorite flavourings are nori, wasabi, cayenne, fresh herbs and garlic. I'd say I'm a beginner, Even though i've been cookin for long... I'm still too young to actually serve at public occations, except for once when my school orgnized an around-the-world dinner (I made an italian salad with mozzarella, rocket and oven toasted proscioutto to mentiona few ingredients) Mostly I cook at home, or for parties. I also study cooking at school. I joined to trade recipes and talk about cooking heart

Hello everyone.. my name is Nikki but on Gaia I am Adri. I live in Connecticut, in the USA. I don't really have a favorite thing to make but anything that uses creativity and creates a final product as visually pleasing as fantastic as it tastes really is exciting for me. Right now my expertise is more in the baking department, though once I graduate my Baking and Pastry program at Culinary school I am applying to Le Cordon Bleu in London for a Grand Diploma in Culinary Arts (Savory).
My favorite flavorings are probably the really simple ones.. it's amazing to me how a pinch of salt makes the taste of chocolate and cream really pop and emphasizes so much. I also love pepper in my savory things, it's a sublte kick that just makes things taste better. I also like to use garlic, basil, cinnamon and cardamon, and of course, chocolate!
I would say that I'm upper intermediate when it comes to skill level. By the time I finish school I'll be a lower-level expert (Baking/Pastry school). I don't think anyone is every truly an expert, in the Culinary arts there's always room to grow!
Cooking food is extremely calming for me. Instead of being a comfort eater, I am a comfort cooker. I rarely eat a lot of what I make-- generally I take a taste and it's satisying enough. I'm mostly satisfied by the happiness other people get out of my cooking.. it's such a useful art. Food is such a memorable thing tied to so many emotions for people, it's an honor to make your art and profession a part of so many people's emotions. It's got to be one of the most rewarding professions out there.
I like to cook for everything and anything, really. No matter the occassion people can appreciate good food-- so no matter the occassion I'll cook some food!

I'm called Jt, and I'm 14. I'm a girl and I am a vegetarian. I prefer to drink soya milk than Cow's milk. And I'm funny about eating eggs, but when I do eat them, they have to be free-range or better, otherwise I point blank refuse.
I live in England, in Yorkshire.
My favourite thing to eat is probably dhal or a noodle soup thing.
My favourite things to make change quite alot, but at the moment are: - pasties, mainly cheese and onion, as this was my first properly independently made food. - pasta salad(i improvise each time, which makes it all the more yummy). - omelette (with whatever else i get my hands on) - mung dhal
I enjoy both, but I tend to lean towards cooking. I have a weird sortof-fear of flour..occasionally I get freaked out and can't use it in cooking as I think there's creatures in it. I dunno, I'm strange.
My favourite flavourings are probably dried chives, garlic(does that count?), and different mild spices.
I'm definately a beginner, skillwise.
Cooking generally lifts my anxiety and mood, i get lost in my focus of making the food. It's a very good distraction technique for me. I eat healthier foods when I make them myself, as I choose what goes in and what doesn't.
I haven't cooked for many major occasions as such, but I was a chef(one of many) in my food technology class' one-night italien restaurant. Which was a complete success. I sometimes cook tea for my family, and helped my granny cook and prepare for a dinner party she was hosting.

I preferred to be called, here, by my username Princess Roro or simply Rosie is fine. I'm 22 and a vegetarian. I became a vegetarian when I was 15 simply because I feel a lot of compassion for animals and ever since I was little I felt guilty for eating them. Not until later did I become aware of how factoring farming is--which then reinforced my feelings toward being and living vegetarian.
Where do you live: South California! What's your favourite thing to eat/make: Chocolate mostly is my fav thing to eat! hehe, but excluding sweets, I'd say potatoes! YUM. If you lean towards baking, or more towards cooking: I probably lean towards baking most--Cakes, cookies, cupcakes! Favourite flavourings (herbs, spices, extracts): Cinnamon, poppy seeds, garlic, rosemary, oregano. All my fav spices and herbs. Skill level (beginniner, intermediate, expert): I'm a beginner. What are some of the occasions that you like to cook for?: Christmas mostly, but birthdays as well and for the heck of it, also, of course, if something is requested of me.

My name is Tyler (yes, I am a girl!) I've been vegetarian for 2 years now, but I love cooking and everything I make is vegan because I love proving that food can be just as good without animal products.
Where you live: Arizona!
Favorite thing to make/eat: I love making bread or cinnamon rolls. My favortie food is pasta, it's easy and really versitile to whatever you're craving. as far a drinks go, I love making chinese milk tea smoothies and really low-cal lattes.
Baking or cooking? I'm more into baking but I'm warming up to cooking as well, I love making sauces and healthy foods.
Favourite flavourings: mmm, Basil, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, ginger
Skill level: Intermediate I guess, I'm starting at culinary school for an associates in pastry and baking in a month.
What cooking does for your well-being: keeps me sane! It's my creative outlet really. It might turn into a career, but for now it's a hobby. A very expensive everyday hobby... surprised
What are some of the occasions that you like to cook for? BIRTHDAYS!! small snacks for get togethers, and just family dinners when we're not too busy.

My name is Alexis, Sisi if you want to get to nicknames, I love making spaghetti (So simple!) I've been doing it since I was young, but seriously, I love cooking new things and tweaking out recipes to suit my needs. I like to cook, I can bake a bit, but I'm no baker. Cayenne, tumeric, basil, oregano, rosemary, and curry usually find their ways into my dishes. I'm not a beginner cook, but I'm probably no expert either.
I love to eat, I love to eat tasty things, and I love cooking for other people, cooking is a community thing for me. There's nothing better than making up a recipe while someone sits and talks with me at the kitchen table.
ANY OCCASION! : D : D : D

Where you live (not addresses, people. more like "I live in South Florida) I live in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. Next to a lake. What's your favourite thing to eat/make. I like to bake, and specifically my favourite things include chocolate in some form. Cookies, in particular. If you lean towards baking, or more towards cooking. I do like to cook, but my baking is better. Favourite flavourings (herbs, spices, extracts). Cinnamon, clover, and bay. Skill level (beginniner, intermediate, expert) Beginner. What cooking does for your well-being. Cooking a good meal- it makes me feel like I'm sane- especially when I see pre-packaged goods out there that people eat tons of. What are some of the occasions that you like to cook for? Most of the major holidays, but I'm a big fan of cooking a good meal just for the hell of it too. Breakfast is one of my favourite meals.

Hi, I'm Amanda. I live in Pennsylvania! My favorite thing to eat is sea salt ice cream (rarely have it). I lean more towards baking, but I usually cook, just because I am the elected food-maker of the household. I like cinnamon, peppermint and chocolate. I'm more intermediate than beginner, but I always have room to improve. Cooking helps me relax, especially since I have stress and temper problems. Does every day count? xd Just kidding, I like cooking for the "food gatherings" my friends have.

Hey, I'm Breign and I live in Southeast Kansas. When I cook, I get so engrossed in what I am doing that I barely notice the outside world. It is heavenly xd I love to cook and bake equally; I find them both mediums of art through which I can express myself. I am looking for new recipes, and variations of old recipes. I don't have a favorite spice. Why should I? They are all delicious and all bring something unique to the table. Well that's all for now. If you want to know more, then message me, and ask.
