Hope for the best...
Renashu stayed quiet as the hell butterfly gave it's message to captain Tansen. When Tansen had to run off, Renashu gave a giuck salute and watched him go. "Well, guess I'll head to my room now." Tapping to ground a couple of times with his cane, Renashu got his bearings, and headed down the hall, the rhythmic tapping slowly fading as he left the building.

(( Sorry for having disappeared. I'll make a post in here that I'm resting soon enough. Last quarter was not pretty =( Hope your guys' RL is better. Glad to see you back Sonia. If you haven't disappeared again like I did, of course. ))
:Snapping back to reality, Suri realized that she had spaced all the events that had occurred since Lieutenant Nicholas had entered the room. If anything, she probably attributed it to having seen Captain Tansen's zanpaku~to in action. Though they had fought before, it had been so long ago that she no longer remembered the basis of his power. Since he had left squad five, she could not recall a time when she had ever been able to see him use his zanpaku~to over kido, though everyone knew well enough how often she brought up her own zanpaku~to powers in various situations.
Once she actually came to though, Suri also noticed that Captan Tansen was gone, and there were traces of numerous different reiatsus swirling about in the air. It was not a good moment for her. However, giving a more studied glance of the way a shinigami stood before her, Suri noted that she would have been blocked from the view of any shinigamis who entered through the door. Thank goodness. The question though, was who would take such detailed pains to protect her identity. Studying the build and the shock of blond hair, Suri blinked quickly to be sure that she was not missing anything.
"Sonia, strange that you would be here now also," Suri commented, masking her surprise. "It was odd coming back and realizing that you were no longer Captain Tansen's lieutenant, but I did not think you would return around the same time I did. If I have returned at all that is."
Suri sighed, dropping back into the leather armchair which she had been resting in before Lieutenant Nicholas had popped in. Running a hand through her now short black hair and tousling it up, Suri glanced through the hole in the roof, watching a white cloud slowly float by. It seemed to be a habit of hers now-a-days, to simply space off at some of the most inconvenient times when she was around others. All that ran through her mind though was an explanation, or rather, a lack of, for why she had disappeared for so long. Amnesia was not a fun thing, especially when she could not figure out if she had come out better or worse for the wear.
"Oh, how times have changed," Suri whispered quietly, knowing that Sonia would nevertheless hear her. Speaking in a higher tone, Suri noted off-handedly, "Seeing as to how this has been quite an eventful day, I think we should do as Captain Tansen suggested and rest up a bit. What do you say?" She shot Sonia a wry grin, a kind that she only saved for old squad mates who she considered her peers.:

Sonia smiled at her friend as she recovered from her reverie, and peered around the room. It was like watching someone who had taken a nap, awaken and examine the room to see if anything had changed.
The blond shingami shrugged in reponse to Suri's first comment, "What can I say, I have great timing; my battle on Earth against the Adjuchas left me too weak and injured to travel through the gate but I've recovered and I'm stronger than ever and I plan to stick around this time." She said with a small grin but noted the last words in her companion's statement despite not letting the apprehension show.
Sonia noticed as Suri settled into the chair once more and stared out through the hole in the roof, curiosity and concern ran through her as she settled on watching the other shinigami who had gone missing. Many questions ran amok within the confines of her mind, but none were voiced; for now simply seeing that her friend was alive was enough.
Nodding her head in agreement, Sonia pushed away from the wall she had been leaning on and stretched her arms up above her head and groaned lightly as she felt her vertebrae shift back into alignment as her muscles extended and contracted. "Cheers to that, I've got a spare room in my apartments within the barracks. You're welcome to stay there as long as you wish." the blond woman smiled warmly in turn as she invited Suri to stay with her.
