Rez got to his feet and looked at Cross and flared his nostrils. He moved toward Cross with malice in his eyes. He attempted to grab Cross by the hair and pull him all the way to his feet before attempting to hit him with a hard right hand.

Cross was hit with the right and was staggered, before firing back with an attempted spinning knife edge chop. He had hoped the spin would give him just a little more oomph.

Rez was hit by chop and staggered back as more pain surged through his chest. He winced in pain before tying to retaliate with another hard right to the sull.

Cross barely ducks under the fist and goes for a kick to the midsection of Rez, followed with a DDT attempt. He knew that if he was hit with a punch to the head at this point from Rez, it would really be all over.

Rez was hit with the kick and locked in for a DDT. Sensing danger, he starts to struggle. Due to the pain in his body, he couldn't do much. Out of desperation, he drops to his knees and attempts to hit Cross with a low blow.

One moment, Cross is about to drop backwards to deliver a DDT, the next thing he knows, he's holding his man parts and falling over on his side. He hadn't expected for Rez to pull out such a dirty move, but now he knew not to underestimate him.

Rez got up and looked down at Cross. Deciding not to let up on the smaller man, he attempted to roll Cross onto his back before delivering a stomp to his chest. If it managed to connect he would gor for two more solid stomps.

Cross was more or less unable to do anything to fend off the stomps, unless Rez was suddenly afraid of his gurgling, and the sound of the air being forced from Chris' lungs. Which he seriously doubted.

Rez looked from Cross to one of the ladders in the ring. He grabbed and set it up near in the center of the ring and looked to Cross once more. He moved it over slightly and angled it so it was facing Cross and started to climb, Once he reached the top he sat on the top, facing Cross and made a "get up" gesture to Cross, making it clear to the crowd that he had something daring planned himself. Something very unlike him.

Cross was digging as deep as he could inside of himself to make it to his feet. All he knew is that after this match, he was going to go home and sleep until the next card. The crowd were once again willing Chris to get up, unaware that they were sending him to some unknown fate. Cross made the final push from the ground, and was to his feet. He looked up at Rez and knew instantly that he was about to have something really, really horrible happen to him. Why did I get up?

Rez smiled a sick smile and leaped from the ladder, throwing his body on line as he attempted a huge flying clothesline from the top of the ladder, causing the ladder once more to topple over.

Cross pulled an Evan Bourne and sold in the sickest way possible. After being clotheslined he toppled to the ground and ended up with his legs above his head, his full body weight resting on his neck. The only thing that ran through his mind, over and over, was the simple single syllable, ow.

Rez got up after the clothesline and set up the ladder in the middle of the ring before grabbing the scond later and laying it near Cross. He moved to Cross and attempted to bring him to his feet. If Cross was able to stand, Rez would pause before attempting The Defiling onto the down ladder.

Cross felt completely numb, and could almost see himself as Rez brought him to his feet, as he was uppercutted in his jaw, as he was hoisted up in a chokeslam, and as his nearly lifeless body came crashing down on top of a ladder. As far as out of body experiences go, this one was definitely not enjoyable.

Seeing Cross hit the ladder, Rez immediately went to the standing ladder and started to climb. He moved as fast as he could in his tired state, not taking his eyes from the briefcase. As he reached the top, he stretched one arm out, reaching for the case. He smiled a self-satisfied smile as he saw victory in his grasp.
