Murky red....... Jack nodded. "I agree. But we'll never find her if we don't try." She blew out a breath. "Since she was my neighbor, I'll see what I can do. It's not much, but maybe we'll be able to find a lead."

Adrian was looking off into the distance murmuring " Murky Red " To himself. Then he snapped back and looked between Jack and Penni. " I hate that color" he smiled and they all choked out a laugh.

Cat walked into her new school and noticed the halls were empty. "Huh.... I guess the lunch bell didn't ring yet..." She said as she looked at her watch. "Well, it should ring soon. until then....." Cat laid on the floor in the middle of the hallway. She was strange. and this way, everyone would know that and not talk to her. she was somewhat..anti-social.

Jack managed a small smile. "Well, whaddya know....Same here." She tried to lighten the mood, but her heart was just not in it. But, being the stubborn person she was, tried to cover it up with a smile and a laugh.

Cat heard the lunch bell ring. It was loud but she did not move. She just stared at the ceiling as students started coming out of the classes. They were staring at her and began whispering And the fun begins. She thought to herself.

Jack gathered her books together. "I'll meet you two in the lunch room. I saw it on my way here. I need to go do something first." She waved and left the room, heading into the courtyard, dialing in Seth's number as fast as she could.
'Hey, chica! You really called!'
'Yeah....'
'You don't sound so good. Something wrong?'
'It's nothing Seth...So, how'd you get this number anyways??'
'That, love, is a secret. Anyways, I was thinking of heading over a couple of days from now. I heard that there was this really wierd thing going on. Disappearances.'
Jack was silent. 'Yeah...That's right.' She said after a while.
'This has something do about it, doesn't it?'
'You're awesome Seth.'
'I know. Tell me about it once I get there, alright? Try not to get into any trouble. Ciao!'
'Seth-!' Jack was talking to a dial tone. "Urgh. Seth, you idiot." She froze. "How does he know where I am anyways??" She murmured and headed to lunch.

"Apple. Do you wanna go to the caf. Or do you wann a walk to starbucks or something?" Penni said pulling her back pack on. She let out a long sigh, feeling bad that she probobly bothered that new girl.

....same thing over and over again. 'strange gothic girl'...'probably has mental problems' blah blah blah. Cat got up and stayed sitting crossed legged on the floor. She was too lazy to get up so she just sat there and started eating the bagel she had.

Adrian watched has Jack walked away. He turned his attention Back to Penni " Witch one snobby rich kids or horrible cafetaria food" He said putting afinger to his lip. " What the hell lets go to starbucks " he said standing up. he opened the door for Penni has they both walked out and saw a strange girl sitting on the floor. Bieng the person he was he walked over to her Penni following close behind. " Why are you sitting on the floor" he asked smiling at her.

Cat looked up at the colorful boy. OOooOOoO rainbowie! She thought. She usually keeps to herself but she couldn't help it. He was just so.... colorful! She smiled her once in a while smile. "Ehmm... So people will think I'm weird and not talk to me" She said as she finished the last piece of the bagel.

Jack came back in and immediately spotted Adrian. Wasn't hard, considering he was so...Colorful. She ran over, waving, and saw that he was talking to a girl sitting on the floor. "Why're you sitting on the floor??" She inquired. "No wait, don't answer that. It's probably none of my buisiness." She ran a hand through her hair, worry flashing across her eyes breifly. She turned to Penni and Adrian. "Listen. About Luci...I have a friend who's coming over here to help. Hope you don't mind..."-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Seth snapped his phone shut and continued driving. Inside, he couldn't help but feel very excited about seeing his best friend again. It had been, what, 3-4 years?? He passed a sign. This was it, the town Jack was in. Part of him was jumping for joy that Jack was still here and he spoke with her. Part of him felt like ransacking the whole town until he found her and dragging her back to Phoenix with him. This place wasn't safe. At all. He sighed, running a hand in his long hair. He knew he was assigned to the case in this town, but he felt creeped out. "Damnit. I knew I should've let Gen come with me..." He muttered, turning a corner and checking the address in his book.

Penni followed Adrian out the door, happy with the starbucks idea. She pushed Luci, for the moment, to the back of her mind so she wouldn't cry. As they walked down the hall Apple veered off towards a girl sitting on the floor in the middle of the hallway. When Jack came and told her about her friend she nodded and okay.
"Whats your name. And why do you not want people talking to you. There are some pretty interesting people around. Pushing people just ends up dangerous around here..." Luci had been strange, like the rest of them but when her brother left for college and never looked back Luci had been distant. Even when they started diving into the mystery.
Penelope pushed a strand of red hair behind her ear and waited for an answer.

"My name is Cathilia Shrovi, call me Cat. I don't want people talking to me because if I make nice friends I'll be sad because I move alot." Cat said quietly as she stood up and dusted off her dress. " I must be going now. A youngen like me definitately will not fit in with the rest of the 12 graders..." She muttered as she was about to turn away.

Jack lagged behind with Adrian as Penni talked to Cat. She was fidgeting. Seth was probably near her house already. He said he was only a 5 minute drive from the town. She hopped from foot to foot. "You guys are going to Starbucks? Cool~" She said grinning. "Oh, by the way, nice meeting you, Cat! I'm Jack Thetanos." She held out a hand. "A twelfth grader, huh? Neat."-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Seth shoved his hands into his pockets as he walked from Jack's house. He just confirmed that. Her mother told him that she'd be back from school later and practically shoved piles of homemade stuff at him. Well, at least one of them missed him...A smile found it's way onto his face as he walked past the school and into the Starbucks right next to it.
