and yet you've not grasped the relative fact you've described the primordial vampire known as Nosfaratu, whereas a later incarnation known as Count Dracula is known to seduce his victims, he has 3 wives(blonde, brunette, redhead).
the good count is in essence a mortal man who made a deal with the devil to seek immortality. the penalty though was to spend eternity needing to feed, with 3 wives to keep things interesting(sex with a fine girl every night if he so wished), he wasnt entirely bored, but he'd become a scholar, remember that infidelity is common even in the age Dracula was spawned, and as such he may have tapped some booty that was a chick he wasnt hitched too, and thought to just try the feel of tapping booty he didnt turn undead or vampiric. hence the highly possible result of a half vampire like Blade, or Bloodrayne.
in the event of a vampire being cursed with a soul, one would need intense power over death itself, as commonly the vampire between nosfaratu and dracul(making the term up), would in a sense posess reason, but no soul which would make the sensation of guilt go ignored completely. in the instance a vampire crosses the line of either a powerful sorcerer, or even the devil himself, the vampire will be cursed with a soul, the sense of guilt and remourse, regretting having commited such attrocities, and will in the long run attempt to do everything possible to repent for his sins centuries ago. if you want research material on a vampire with a soul, look up the series Angel, it's pretty good, the guy who was Angel is also in the series Bones which is a forensics show based on the life and stories of an actual forensics specialist who'se actual nickname sired the name of the show.
blah blah blah yakity schmakity blah... cant belive I took the time to read all of that.
anyways I needed to throw in my two cents here, Raptor, your basing your entire argument off of a few movies you have seen arnt you? to begin with count Dracula was not a mortal but was in fact undead, only in later interpretations of the story was he made out to be an immortal.
the concept of a vampire having children is just plane stupid, for starters vampires are undead meaning that their seed is also dead (or undead if you prefer) but regardless they would be unable to get a normal every day mortal prego and the real question is why the hell they would even want to in the first place. If they were somehow able to get a girl prego with their undead vampire spunk the kid would either be still born (you know, that whole dead thing) or the vampire would get the joy of watching his only child age and die in front of him. The concept of vampire children comes from the idea of the children of the night, a vampire who is created by another vampire is considered that vampires child. People have simply taken that idea and turned it into something else.
I would get into the argument about the soul as well but regardless vampires are not real so there really is no point.
now then, one other thing, Sony products are quite reliable. oh ya, that is right, I disagree with you on the merits of Sony. I have had quite a few Sony products and they all worked great for years. I cant comment on their customer support because I have never had any need to call them. I freaking love my PSP, I had a PS one for years and it never stopped working, my PS2 ran like a charm and the only reason I got rid of it was to upgrade to the slim PS2 which also still works to this day (as far as I know, my Ex stole it) and I have had a couple cameras from Sony, all of them worked and did exactly what they were suppose to do without any problems.
Personally I think your issue with Sony is more on a personal level, you don't like them because of something you HEARD, not from personal experience. It would also add some weight to your arguments if you would stop making WoW references.
finally getting back to the meat and potatoes of this topic, http://screwattack.com/videos/AVGN-Castlevania-Part-3-1 enjoy, and by the way, symphony of the night = best Castlevania ever!
well you're bringing personal experience points into this, I may as well bring up some points.
you have some good commentary on vampires, yes the basic vampire is undead, this has been touched multiple times on the subject and I dont disagree with the fact that a vampire typically isnt able to produce working spooge... and yes you can laugh because I said "Spooge".
some people come up with different itterations on vampires. the undead and immortal thing both have their own itterations.
the undead vampire is the most common one and yes, the undead vampire assumes the parental role when they turn a victim into a vampire through draining blood.
the immortal variant of vampire has been said ot have working or dead "seed", refrences to Vanhellsing staring Hugh Jackman, and the Bloodrayne game series. a vampire with dead seed basically cant reproduce, and even if he does sire a child, the newborn will be dead like a miscarriage. in the case of the immortal or demonic based vampire, working seed renders one able to create an army of young half-vampires for their purposes, a large chance of the vampire's offspring turning aginst them due to childhood/adolesent/teenage rebellion.
the third type of vampire in which one posesses a soul(watch the series Angel if you get stumped) is cursed to live with the regret of having taken lives and because of the soul in their undying body, the cursed to a soul vampire feels the full spectrum of emotions a human would feel, all the typical strengths and weaknesses of a vampire.
sunlight, holy blessed crosses, holy water, various other religious symbols, garlic(severe allergic reaction).
on the usbject of sony's craptacular products, I've seen PS3 stations shut down beause of a bug Sony didnt bother to look for, friends with a PS3 complained about the shutdown during game, and there ws even a report from Sony not to use the PS3 in 2010 until the issues involving a mysterious bug in the systems is fixed.
Sony has also been in it's share of lost lawsuits, Immerson medical technology sued Sony for stealing the patented dual shock vibration functionality which in the medical world is used to relax muscles in the absence of a professional, Immerson said they attempted to make a settlement with Sony in that if Sony gave credit and paid up, they'd consider dropping the suit, sony didnt reply and lost the suit and removed the functionality from the at-the-time upcomming PS3 controllers. Sony also got sued for another incident I wasnt fully aware of, the details escape me right now(lack of sleep), and sony was reported as having lost the lawsuit as well.
facing facts, sony has done quite a bit to rip off nintendo, the original playstation project once started by Nintendo was cancelled, and sony used the parts to release the stand-alone console anyways despite the unforseen flaws of the console overheating(gamepro magazine has a Q&A refrencing this mechanical flaw). at E3 prior to the Wii and PS3 release, Nintendo unveiled the Wii as a unique controller with unbelivable functionality through motion sensor technology using both a sensor bar, and a built-in internal sensor. Sony later on announced the PS3 would support motion control as well in a 6 axis controller that was at-the-time not available in the PS3 controllers on display.
another notice of fact: Nintendo started the console + handheld system combined functionality, refrencing the Super Gameboy peripheral on the Super Nintendo console which allowed players to play their Gameboy games on their SNES. then came the Transfer pack for N64 controllers to allow the transfer of data from Gameboy and Gameboy color games onto related N64 cartridges, and then came the GBA + Gamecube combination with the GBA to Gamecube cable, allowing certain games extra functionality such as with Legend of Zelda the wind waker and the Tingle Tuner, Pokemon titles commonly took advantage of this handheld to console functionality, adding the Gameboy Player device to the Gamecube game the console itself a more symetrical feel and allowed use of your Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and GBA games use on your Nintendo Gamecube, and that continues with the DS and Wii. Sony has tried to preform the same function with the PS3 and PSP, at E3 sony displayed ridge racer with PSP functionality as a rear-view mirror(failed the display and it was made a mockery on Youtube).
of all the sony products I've had, not one of them stood the test of time, I take care of my devices, and if needed I'll preform matinence if it doesnt void the warranty, if the warranty has expired then I'll consider to do maintinence anyways if needed. the last product I had from Sony was a walkman that ceased to function despite it's claims to last, fresh batteries couldnt make it function anymore, rechargables, direct power source, NOTHING, even after a thurough inspection nothing was out of place. it just ceased to function prior to the "disection" of the dead product.
as per regards to Sony's customer service, I've seen videos related to the Sony Vaio battery incident where a man brought a camera to record the behavior of the customer service representative whom simply disregarded him as an annoyance just for wanting to record the bahavior of another person at work to show sony's customer service.
regarding the PSP in it's early stages, sony stated that the PSP was fine as-is, and said the consumer would have to adapt to it simply because it's battery life was low(a few hours isnt enough for a handheld device), and the blatant misplacement of a button which made it's functionality conflict with the screen(common complaints stated that the button closest to the screen would either not function or would hit the screen, and some players were forced to adapt to the button placement).
considering sony has been putting themselves on a high horse and claiming they were right, shows they have no sense of humility. you even see it in Sony's latest PS3 commercials with the jackass lying on screen andeven had the nerve to claim world War 1 started because of rumors on the internet.
to me, Sony has done nothing but display a level of arrogance commonly seen in your media super villains in the scenario of a corrupted antagonist who posesses great power.
lets not forget when Sony claimed one of their games was based entirely on actual events of Japanece history, THEN mentioned a GIANT KILLER CRAB! and even mentioned it's weakpoint on it's belly.
last I checked, Japan didnt have giant killer crabs that could leap football fields into battle that could be flipped upside down by a small bomb and killed instantly by a stab in the belly.
so you'll have to forgive me when I dont belive you regarding Sony's products. they've been arrogant and have been more trouble than they're worth.
also I've seen the angry nerd's review on Castlevania series, I got further than he did regarding the levels.
hint: you use the same button for picking stuff up and inspecting the s**t around you to set the nitro and mandragora down. in the duel tower now and yeah tha camera is a pain, I havent gotten to beating the game in a single sitting, it's still fresh to me since it's one of many games I've not played start to finish, or at all regarding certain titles.
and to Dragn and Psycho, dont mention clots, my grandfather has had enough strokes, and we dont know if my brother died from a clot that shot into his heart, or if it was an athsma attack.
I also forot to mention that you may like the PS1 Castlevania Symphony of the Night, I still like Super Castlevania 4 as it was just the player and the game, and I'm starting to enjoy the challenge of Castlevania on N64. you got your wits and your weapons, nothing more, nothing less.
though I gotta admit, Castlevania Aria od Sorrow on GBA was a good game.
