Cherry nodded, sipping her tea. "They are. But every once in a long while, a child is born with the clan's full potential. But it is too much. The person creates a separte personality in order to survive. They may even be completely unaware of that other side - perhaps for their entire lives. But the other side... it is made solely of power. And power wants to be used." Cherry looked up at Cory. "I could have that personality, may never know of its existance. It could show up at any time and I'll never be any wiser. When I become a threat, the village will destroy me." She shrugged and ate another piece of sushi. "Or perhaps I'll live a long life and never develop that second half. I simply won't ever know."

Cory Lei Sannin | Leaf Cory looked down at his bowl, his ramen now cold. He hadn't eaten that much, considering he was lost in conversation, but now, the conversation was lost, seeing as how Cory had no idea how to respond to something like that.

"Mother said that too." Cherry said. "But I also hurt her. I made her see something she didn't want to know. That's why they're afraid, not just the fact that my genjutsu abilities are already strong enough to kill, but that I can pull out a person's most darkest desire, show it to them, make them addicted, and leave them hanging on to an illusion they'll never see again, possibly make them mentally unhinged." Cherry looked up at Cory, her pink eyes dead. "That's why they won't look into my eyes. The Kage will, the ignorent will. But few others."

Cherry's smile brightened slightly and she closed her eyes, enjoying the darkness offered to her by closed lids. "Yes, but you won't always be here. I might not always be here either." She opened her eyes once more, small smile back in its fake originality. "But I'm 19. Usually, I would have showed signs already so, maybe I'm just lucky." She paused. "And you're not ignorent. Well, not as much as before."

Cherry's smile brightened. "Yes, of course you do. Missing the fact that there was steam rising from the broth that was still simmering as if it was yet to be taken off the hotplate. Please, do enlighten me." She teased playfully.

Cherry's face suddenly darkened. "You..." She paused, looking around her suddenly as if expecting an attack. "Don't say such things... Last man who said that... Killed one of my teammates... Those exact damn words. Broke my wrist too." She turned her eyes to Cory, the pink iris now dark and filled with her grey chakra. "I'm told he's still screaming." She warned Cory. "I gave him those nightmares." Cherry shook her head, a hand rising to rub her forehead. "My apologies, you startled me." She said, voice returning to normal.

Cherry nodded. "I'm sorry." She siad, still rubbing her hand over her forehead. "It wasn't a month ago is all, I'm still a little shaken. I'd never seen sensei so helpless before." Cherry looked up at Cory, looking old and tired but she blinked and the tiredness went away from her eyes. Her smile had never faded, fake as it was. "He calls me 'Smiling Demon'. I like it." She shook her head. "I don't why, but I believe you."
