how do you beat them? i guess i need to be stronger, but ruby is such a pain! i know you can stop whirlsand by starting wiithonly one character, but what else works?

heres how u beat them easily use kotor with w-summon and the have the rest of your party mimc this could be like a half hour process

I somehow managed to defeat Emerald, after many many tries. I have yet to defeat Ruby (although right now my friend is barrowing it so I can't even try...)

I am really proud, i have beaten both Ruby AND Emerald. Out of the two Emeral is the easiest (even though it took a while to beat) and provides the best reward, Ruby is much harder but is rather easy to overcome with a few 'Final Attacks' equipped with 'Pheonix'. I am replaying the game and i will strategically beat them again.

How do you get another Mimic, I need it to kill ol'green pain in the a**.

Vincent. V Ex-~ Chris Silverwind Hes easy if your a low level Aishiko. Like under 90. I prefer fighting emerald weapon over ruby... x x Sephiroth is pretty easy at all levels. He only becomes difficult when you try fighting him with Cloud at level 99. His HP is tripled apparently, which means it'll be one b***h of a fight. xp
fighting ruby & emarald is the best.... shame you can only do it once per game.

His HP is tripled apparently, which means it'll be one b***h of a fight. xp I know this all too well, I killed emerald and ruby BEFORE hitting that level the first time and he did that triple thing you speak of. Then the second time I started from scratch ( just to make sure I didn't beat him by luck) I beat them both at about level 72 and sephiroth did the same thing.

Cloud_Striff heres how u beat them easily use kotor with w-summon and the have the rest of your party mimc this could be like a half hour process You messed that up, it is Kotr + mp turbo + w-summon( in another slot). Caster barier and m-barier on your party( or just cloud if you are fighting Ruby. NOT JUST WALL wall gives a 1/3 attack def to both physical and magic attacks while barrier and m-barrier halves them. Stock up on alot of X-potions cause cure will be halved by your barrier. This will be 13 knights x 9999 damage x 2 = 259,974 damage per turn vs. either emerald or ruby.

Ruby and Emerald are easy - when you know how! I got the perfect strategy, lol...
For Ruby, Go in as Cloud alone, have the other two party members KO'd. W-Summon Knights of Round (Paired with HP Absorb!) on the tentacles... then keep on using the MIME command... for Emerald - MIME materia should have split after your victory - Have a second Party member as well - W-Summon Knights of Round, then keep using MIME...
I had a turbo controller, so I went to sleep both times... sweatdrop

Lady Yazoo Dude...I'm too scared to even go underwater because of emerald. Due to the lighting of my tv he looks gray, and like a shark, and I'll get anhilated by him, I fear teh emerald. But i watched a guy beat sephiroth with only tifa at level 7 biggrin do you mean 70, b/c it's quite impossible for a character to be hat low in a level b/c as cloud's lvl go up, the people who are not in the currently main group will also go up a lvl like every other lvl that cloud go up........unless you keep him ko'd almost through out the game just for the purpose of .............something........

materia for weapons
emerald : underwater (thats a givin), phoenix+final attack (both mastered), mimic, w-summon, and KOTH+mp turbo,Bahamut Zero
ruby: phoenix+final attack (both mastered), w-summon, KOTH+mpturbo, Hades+quadra magic, mimic
go intro the emerald battle withhlucky 7's makes it alot easier but dont summon till its over.
