Fallon was not big on crowds. She intentionally waited a full six hours after the initial posting of the cast list. A painted nail trailed down it, searching for the backstage positions. Magenta eyes bounced over the words until she found her own name. Tea bringer? Most excellent. This meant more face time with Miss Johnson. And Fallon made some damn good tea.
Trailing back to her room, she folded her hands neatly behind her back, mentally searching the catalog of loose leaf teas that she currently had in her possession. No, none of those would do. Lucky for Miss Johnson, Fallon had her own Tea Guy. A Tea Guy who had the most delicious and rare forms of tea you could ever imagine. A light smile crossed her lips at the thought of Miss Johnson tasting the first sip, the warmth and light that was bound to radiate up her face. Fallon noticed everything that people ate, and she was certain she could find the perfect brew for Miss Johnson.
As for the catering? Pshaw. She had it in the bag. Now, she just had to wait for Miss Johnson to call for her presence -- a call that she would be more than happy to receive.

It was with some confidence that Mason went to check the cast list - he was an amazing actor. Of course he'd get the part. There was no doubt abo - wait a minute. Just who was this "Khaldun Cilentani" and why did he have King Charles and not Mason? Moreover - Mason hadn't even landed an actual lead role - all he was doing was being the understudy for Charles and Blackglass. The understudy! Certainly every role in a play had importance, but this was an outrage.
Not only was he the understudy, which would've been fine if he were just, obviously, an understudy (and they were pretty good parts - Charles was the lead man with his dramatic soliloquies and Blackglass was Nia's noble defender - at least he hadn't been awarded the part of understudy to the fairy godcat!). But he was an understudy to a complete unknown and Andeon Boskovic. That guy was a complete suck-up!
At least, he thought, Evie had gotten a part. And the pirate women sounded like fun.
It wasn't for awhile that he noticed that Trace hadn't gotten a part, either - well! It was something new, for sure.

Jess studied the list carefully, happy to see that she wouldn't be the only person working on backdrops and scenery. Granted, she didn't know who this "Billy" was, but it didn't really matter so long as he wasn't an complete jackass.
Even seeing the note about the loss of scripts didn't worry her. That was the actors' problem, not hers. Well.. okay, no. It would be her problem as well since no script meant nothing to tell her what sort of backdrops and scenery would be needed. So. She stood and thought for a moment before shrugging. Best thing to do then would be to simply sketch up several ideas to present Ms. Johnson with when her turn came to be contacted.
She headed back to the dorms in a supreme state of unconcern.

"Are you serious??" Elle stared at the cast list, a little dumbstruck, and for once, dry. She hadn't expected this. She had assumed that her audition had been an annoyance, something to be brushed aside for the serious applicant that had been born to be Tramptalia. Apparently Miss J was also smoking something. The teen hadn't even heard the news firsthand, but someone had told her with a snicker to check the cast list. Even then she'd had a mildly forboding feeling, but now it was in full flush. Oh jeez, and the one Tramptalia had to seduce was Sir Igneous Blackglass, wasn't it? She quickly glanced down.
ANDEON BOSKOVIC?
"FFFFFFFFF."
No, Giselle Hammel! You need not put yourself through this trial by fire. You can forever remain that stoner kid that occassionally blows s**t up.
Or...you can transcend that mortal boundary, get high as ********, and perform the role that you are clearly the best for!
Peace, suddenly. Complete and utter inner peace. For Elle Hammel knew exactly what she was going to do as she read the note informing them that the scripts were gone.
There was only one thing to do.
Smoke moar.

For the record, Andeon is so excited to be seduce by Elle. He's already writing 'Tramptalia Boskovic' in big hearts on his Trapper Keeper.
Somewhere in Destiny City, Tanzanite's head is exploding.

What did he expect? Well, he knew that going after a big part was taking a big risk, but even a supporting character seemed at least in his grasp. Apparently, Mrs. Johnson didn’t see it that way, and had seen the spark of something great in someone else. It seemed he would not be debuting his star talent on the stage this time around, but BP had an exceptional theater group with more plays to offer. Maybe the next one would have a few more cat parts that he could try for. For now, he let his eyes roll down to the backstage crew where he was one of the helping hands. It seemed he’d be supporting the play after all, though taking a bow would not be part of it. It would be tearing down backgrounds and sweeping up for him.
While it was nothing to write home about, he intended to buddy up with all the actors and maybe slip a few choice complements to Mrs. Johnson in hopes of buttering her up for her next play. For now, he had to head off and find his fellow stagehands to figure out there duties. He hoped the role of curtain puller wasn’t already taken.

Evie was a fan of being fashionably late for things. That, or she simply forgot about the cast list going up. Either way, it was well after the crowds had disappeared that the green-haired girl bounded in towards the cast list, looking with bright eyes for her name next to the title role...
...Which it wasn't.
Evie pouted. Who was Janice? She certainly didn't remember the name around the drama department, nor around Barren Pines at all, for that matter. Sure, Evie hadn't sung or anything as part of the audition, but normally she did better. With a furrowed brow, she began to look down the list, noticing with surprise at Trace and Mason's casting (or rather, the lack thereof. An understudy was hardly a part at all, unless someone broke a leg or died, or something like that!). And then she saw her name, comfortably seated at the absolute bottom of the character list. She did a double-take, having been so disappointed by her lack of casting to that point that she almost didn't believe that she got a part at all.
But a bottom part? That had to be something marginal, and Evie wasn't so sure she liked that. Astralania...that was the pirate woman, right? Evie didn't even know how to act like a pirate, or how to sing like one! She wasn't sure she understood this woman's casting at all, and she tilted her head as she looked at the list again, noting that at least Effie was doing makeup, so she'd be a very pretty pirate. Ah, well. Maybe this was what Trace meant about the leads not necessarily being the most fun? She'd have to talk to him about it. After all, if there was anyone who could do a pirate accent, it would be her theatre brother. With that thought, she left the list to its lonely devices, trailing back to her room still utterly confused and slightly disappointed, and yet...
Somehow, despite it all, Evie was excited.

Update
Despite the lack of a script, the play is well underway and things are going smoothly...at least that's how it seems!
The two students in charge of Scenery & Prop Design have done a marvelous start at making the world of Badassia and Beautica come to life.
The two costume mistresses have taken Miss Johnson's unique doodles and have begun creating magnificent outfits for the actors and actresses to wear (even the Troll Queen's attire looks decent!)
The make-up artists were forced to give up on poor Miss Fitzpatrick, but seem to have the right idea when it comes to the other characters in the play. All but 1 is okay, right?
Both techies have been hard at work setting things up as far as the lighting and sound goes; microphones are working perfectly and they're still attempting to sequence the lighting to be just right.
Hero (along with her faithful assistant) has promoted the play beautifully (as promised!) and the play is the talk of the school... at least so Miss Johnson assumes!
Fallon has done a wonderful job with the catering, most students ending up sneaking away a good deal of the leftovers for midnight snacks. Wasting is a sin, after all.
The four stage hands are learning their cues and are doing a wonderful job at keeping up and maintaining all the props and scenery that the other students have created.
And the actors, bless their hearts, are hard at work with improvising their roles based on the brilliant story their theater teacher has given them. At the moment, they are working their scenes separately with Miss Johnson, and then will draw together collectively in the weeks to come as they piece the scenes together to create the story as a whole. ((Should any student wish to have an RP with Miss Johnson, please feel free to PM me and we can set some things up! If not, please feel free to continue to RP as you see fit with your assigned part! If you need a refresher on the story, it's on the front page <3))
