"The guards tried to capture this person who was on the first floor. We don't know how, but he had somehow made it past our security checks. But the other guards... When they were going to capture him... His power. He is strong..." The guard was loosing his fight to live. "Everyone... he killed everyone... Guards... Servants... Even the civilians visiting the palace..."
The guard grabbed Neptune and warned her. "He's coming here! He's headed this way! HE'S-" Before the guard could finish, an unseen force grabbed the guard, ripping him away from Neptune and pulling him back in towards the darkness. The guard began to scream again, until the scream to a sickening quick end.
Silence again.
That was, until the body of the soldier was thrown above Neptune, landing between the doors that lead to the Queen's room. The body wasa mess, his body bent and torn in ways that would make slasher movies look like a PG-13 movie.
Echos of foot steps.
Coming from the shadows farther down in the hall way, from the stairway, were the sounds of foot steps, making thudding sounds against the crystal flooring. And, the worst part, they were getting louder, and closer.

Lucis glanced to Storm. The screaming started and stopped again. And there was someone coming down the corridor towards Neptune. ..And was that squelching sound that of a body dropping from a height? "Oh for Kal'drystz's sake!"
Storm's nose was wrinkled in disgust. "Seconded."

Neptune listened to the guard. "Who is it?" she asked, but she never got an answer. Her eyes widden as an unseen force pulled the guard away to spit him out is pieces. She let out a scream in digust and shock but she had no time to focus on the corpse as she heard footsteps coming her way, no, more important: her Queen's way.

From the darkness, a single dim red light could be seen, slowly bouncing up and down, and getting closer. As it got closer, it became obvious that it was an eye since the light was now becoming the ring shape for the iris.
The movement stopped, and so did the echoing steps.
Neptune was now facing something in the darkness, and the single eye was now staring deep into Neptune's soul through her eyes. Just the single red eye alone was enough to make people that was staring back into feel that their eyes were being stabbed. Violently at that.

Her heart started pounding as she heared the being getting closer, if it only she could see something! But all she saw was a ring of light, coming from a single eye.
her heart grew cold and she wanted to scream in pain as she felt the piercing gaze, but she felt herself unable to look away, or even make a sound.
She then felt something she hadn't felt in a long time: Fear.

Serenity could feel the presence. At the sound of the laughter and screaming she shivered. It was enough to make anyones blood curdle. After a few minutes she heard Neptune and one of her guards talking, then silence. Suddenly a corpse landed in the room. "Ahh! I..is that a.."

"Yes. Yes it is. Now Usagi, You need to remain calm and quiet. I can't hear what's going on if you're screaming your head off at a dead body." She took a few steps forward towards the door, leaving Storm to calm Usagi down and keep her safe.

"Good." She walked out the doors and into the hallway. 'Why's it so dark. It wasn't like this before. I can't see....' Lucis was effectively blind, she couldn't even see the glowing red light. 'Where's Neptune, I know she was here before. I haven't heard her make a sound yet, other than to talk to the dead corpse.' The Light-Halo usually around Lucis was dimming quickly, the oppressiveness of the surrounding area nearly snuffing it out.
Storm stayed in position, but dismissed one of her spears, substituting it for actual lighting sparking from her hand.
((I find it completely hilarious to have the Goddess be the one that's effectively powerless. .... And blinder that I am.. XD Simple darkness so easily messes with her... Comes of being a personified element I guess.. twisted ))
(((Ya know, I just realized how similar Storm is to Jupiter... Well, kinda. Some things are different... Like say, the green hair and blue-and-green-and-gold outfit and general emo-storm-demi-goddess-ness, but power-wise they're similar... I need to go make fun of the girl that created and first RPed her now.... XD)))

Though the movement was unnoticeable, the red glowing eye shifted to Lucis, giving her the same piercing feeling to her eyes that Neptune was feeling.
Finally, after waiting silently for so long, starring down the two girls before him, he stepped forward, the single step he took echoed through the hallway. The red glow of his eye pulsed with the step, as well as a new sound filling the air. A deep growl.
He was about to take another step, when he was being called through his communicator.
"Mow. Prince, it seems there is a straggler coming towards you. She entered the Palace just a while ago, and I'm sure she will be coming towards you. I'd finish up quickly." The voice was referring to Sailor Pretty.
He didn't respond. His gaze was still deep and piercing to the two girls before him, until finally, his voice broke the silence. "Today. You will live. Next time. You won't. I bring a message for you to deliver. Tell my sister, Serenity, she either surrenders to me, or ...I force her to surrender."
The doors behind Neptune and Lucis started to open on their own. They didn't open fully, but it was cracked opened far enough that the deep piercing gaze of the glowing red eye reached Storm, and Neo Queen Serenity.
The eye became dimmer as it turned away. The echoing of the foot steps returned as well, getting softer and softer with each step as he had turned away and was leaving. The pitch black darkness also seemed to expel with his leaving.

Lucis seemed somewhat skeptical. "Well, that was anti-climactic. After all that hullabaloo, I was expecting to at least have to do more than walk over here." She turned and walked back into the room, patting her daughter on the shoulder and conversing quietly with her to let her know of the events that had just transpired.
Storm seemed more unnerved by the piercing stare than her mother had been, shaking slightly until her mother calmed her down.
"You can go home if you want, I'll stay here and make sure everything remains as it should. Verlym and Phee probably miss you." She smiled sympathetically towards the green-haired-girl, ruffling her hair in a gesture of affection.
"Of course Lym misses me. Though Phee is probably busy in the Underworld... I don't want to go yet, but maybe I will soon."

Juneko quickly ran towards the new shrieks that now came from a female voice. She could only imagine the dread that she would feel if something had happen to one of her close friends. She could tell she was getting closer to the gathering place, or the dark force, as her talisman began to flicker and then turn off. She gulped as she helplessly searched the place with the use of her hands. At the sound of the incoming echoes, she quickly began to run towards it's direction. Her breathing slowed as she enter the throne room too see her friends okay. "What just happened?" she asked.

Serenity watched the door, waiting to see what would happen next. She heard some voices, but couldnt make out what was being said. "That mans voice...why does it seem so familliar..?" She took a step toward the door, when the door opened and a red light stopped her. It seemed to stare at her. A feeling in her gut told her she should be weary. The red beam of light stayed in possition a moment before growing dimmer and floating away. "What was that all about..?"

Only when the red light had dimmed, Neptune could fully think again. "Serenity's Brother?" she asked unbelieving, returning to her Queen trhough teh already opened doors. "Who was that?"
