DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Katjive Poem:
Aich, there's no need to fear! For SUPERMAN is here! He will call out your goat flu, and then will beat it black and blue!
You need not fear the needle's p***k, for think of what's inside of it! A fighting thing of might and men, will set you back to rights again.
That liquid there, yeah that's the stuff! Once it's in you, then you'll be tough! And then that mean old nasty flu, won't be a problem, not for you!
And then when all is said and done, you will be my number one! Upon your breast for all to see, a sticker saying "Be proud of ME!"
For you, brave you, you beat your fear! A good thing too, for death was near, and then, as your fear fell flat, you said "All that fuss over THAT?"
Comments (optional): It's a fun poem, with a simple aabb rhyme scheme. Also, it's got SUPERMAN in it. And stickers. Fun story? The stickers were the only reason I let the doctors give me my shots when I was little. They promised me stickers if I was good. xD
And the concept still works. First time giving blood? The Red Cross will give you a sticker (no joke) that says "Be nice to me, I just gave blood!"
EDIT: OOPS, it's over the word limit. But I like it the way it is. So....uh....just disregard the last two stanzas to make it qualify. Sorry about that! (Just think of the omitted ones as bonus features for your reading pleasure?)

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer:Alanna the Pirate Queen Poem:
Close your eyes and loose yourself admist the memories, feel the soft sweet wind as it carresses leaves of trees. Ignore the pain ignore the fear let your dreams take wing, do not allow your thoughts to dwell upon the gentle sting. Sing a song or wrap your arms around the soft fur bear, hold my hand and do not fret for I am always there... To dry your tears and pat your head to give you gentle praise, to keep you safe and healthy for all the rest your days...
Comments (optional): I wrote this poem like this because this is how I used to comfort myself when I was little and afraid of shots. I would close my eyes and pretend I am somewhere else, and that the shot was actually just some one pinching me or something... ^_^

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Zactura Poem: So scared of the p***k, so scared of the flash The silver dart quick and out like a lash The shiver of flesh as the slender needle dances near Whispering her song into your trembling ear "Oh, don't be frightened, you poor dear thing This, probably, will not even sting!" She comforts, she croons, waiting and watching For the time when she can dash under your skin To the point where you have no choice but to allow her in And as she releases her blood into yours You'll never realize what lay beyond her broken doors. Comments: Nope.

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: JadedTiger22 Poem:
‘Worst childhood memory?’
What’s this, a little bumble bee? How did you manage to meet me here? Are you here to play with me? Yes, nuzzle all you wish up in my mane, A friend is welcome to a free ride.
:pop!:
What’s brings about this betrayl? I’ve done nothing to deserve this pain. Take your sharp little butt and leave me now. I’ll wonder these fields alone.
I’ve never much cared for bees since then. …. Oh Snoopy! How I adore this tiny bandage. So much so I will forgive this deception, Nurse.
Comments (optional): Can’t stand ‘em myself, so we’ll cope together!

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Thamin Poem:
Fear not the needle, little one you'll only feel a pinch Just close your eyes, little one see, that was such a cinch No pain involved, little one And you'll feel better soon Not to mention, Little one You get this lollipop to boon!
Comments (optional): My Dad actually had this fear - He actually fought so hard once to not get a shot he caused himself to have a mild heart attack. He was declared dead for 2 minutes. ^^;

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Kejren Poem: Illness has fallen over you, Casted a shadow onto your soul.
It bites at your immune system, Eats away at your health.
Think of it this way, Aich, You may choose death by Goat Flu Or getting a simple, quick shot.
Don't worry, dear Soquili, It shalln't hurt a bit.
Just the precise p***k of the needle, Then the relief of knowing you'll be fine.
Don't look at the needle And you won't even know.
Maybe you'll even get A Soquili bandaid or two!
Comments; I just wrote free-verse. xD

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Lilly_Foxx Poem: Frail and weak Colours fade to harsh monotone Pain electrifies your veins A weary drowsiness is your blanket
The injection brought bliss
Tired and listless Colours roar back to sick vividness Your muscles burn The pain ebbs to numbness
The injection brought salvation
You heal Gain strength And live
The injection saved your life Comments (optional): I was born at 24 weeks gestation and have had (as far as my parents could count) well over 10,000 needles in the first four months of my life, only. I still have scars from them due to my paper thin skin at birth.
They are necessary, and and the hyperdermic needle is a God-send.

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Polette Poem:
Squeeze me tight, Look into my eyes- See the stars that fly quickly by? I'll give you a pinch, to show you my love, And we can then fly away, Like little doves.
Comments (optional): The 'pinch' is when the needle goes in, and the 'fly away like little doves' is leaving after the shot is finished with. 8]
