OOC: how do you decide on a number???? [Spazz edit: You use Post Action: random number, and put in 1 to however many rooms have currently been made. Whichever number you get, is the room you enter. Also, remember to keep your posts at least 2.5 lines in length, or more if you can. One liners aren't allowed here.]

Alex nodded to Kira. "Yeah, it smells really bad in here. Like my dad when hasn't showered for days." After a moment of odd silence, he filled in, "My dad's a big guy." Alex ventured deeper into the room, his nose acclimated and his curiosity in swing. He just had to find out what that hamster on a panda thing was talking about.
As he stepped forward, his foot tripped a switch in the floor, and a secret panel opened in the back of the room. A big, lumbering shape appeared in silhouette in the doorway and Alex snapped to alarm. Maybe there were scary things to be found here, after all. He reformed his green mist around his hands, just in case he had to take down this thing, whatever it was.
The shape stepped forward, into more light, and Alex nearly passed out when he saw it was a panda. A panda with a hamster riding it, no less. Atop the panda bear's head was a little brown and white rodent, it's paws on a lever and stick of bamboo, obviously directing the big animal. "It's...cute," he said, somewhat disappointed. He let his magic sift away from around his hands and glanced at Kira. "I'm ready to go if you are."
((You pick the room this time! I'll learn from watching you!))

"That's... nice to know," Kira replied with a small laugh, giving Alex a slightly odd look. Her dad was pretty big too, but he couldn't function without a morning shower every day. But she shrugged it off and stepped after him, her eyes darting around the gloomy room to try and find any sign of threat. She didn't at first, until she heard the creak of the panel. She jolted, tensing sharply. Her hand jerked, almost grabbed the back of his shirt, then fell away again. She'd seen what the looming figure was.
A panda. A panda with a hamster on its head. Wonderful. It received one, very puzzled stare, before her eyes shifted back toward Alex. "Ah... yeah. Let's get out of here." The scent was starting to give her a little headache.
She gave the panda one last glance, and then turned and left the room, hoping to find something a bit more fitting of a haunted house. Careful what you wish for.
She found herself standing in the doorway of an old room with that same musty smell, though possibly not quite as strong. Pin-ups of women were hung about the walls, the faces missing from each one, and blood stains seemed to be frequent around the room. She shivered a little, eyes widening a little as they scanned the room, then fell upon the large vanity within it. Creeping silently forward, she slowly ventured inside. "This one.. has a more haunted feel, don't you think?" she murmured nervously.

Alex shot a noncommittal look in Kira's direction. So his dad didn't shower every day. He was Greek, he worked hard, he was allowed to stink if he so chose. He smiled, thinking of his dear ol' Dad. He shrugged off her comment as he followed her out the door.
She led the way this time, into another, darker and scarier room. At least, creepier room. They were in the Vanity Room, though they didn't know the room had a name. This room had a much better atmosphere, both literally and figuratively. Although the creepiness factor was upped by the blood on the walls, making it less than comfortable. That was the point of a haunted house, though.
He nodded to her. "Very haunted feel." An eerie smile burst onto his face. "I like it." He looked everywhere, trying to take in the entire room at once. The faceless pin-up girls, he almost understood, but the blood on the walls was just out of place, accentuating it's creepy factor. "So, what do you suppose is in here?"

[Vanity room. o wo]
Kira hesitated, glancing back toward Alex, before slowly venturing even further inside, until she found herself standing toward the middle of the room. Her arms lingered almost stiffly at her sides, eyes roving quickly around the area again, before she paused to listen to his response. "You.. like it?" she echoed, frowning toward him, looking uneasy at his expression. So once again, she quickly looked away.
"It... looks like a serial killer who hated models lived here," she pouted. "Or someone who hated their own self image... and was jealous."
She shivered again, but she found her feet carrying her toward the vanity, her fingers carefully brushing over the surface. She kept expecting something to pop out at her, like in a real haunted house. So she opened a drawer impossibly slowly, her eyes narrowed as she braced herself... and nothing happened. She just stared into the empty drawer, then moved onto another, then another, until... "Oh, hey... tickets," she spoke up, picking up the four tickets and waving them lightly toward Alex.
Then the vanity stole her attention again, her eyes gazing into the mirror... and not looking away.

"please help, they are making my hair stick up." Kurai pleaded as he laid on the ground. His hair was indeed sticking up from the static electricity. It didn't help that most of his outfit was so prone to static electricity either.
"Hey they are hard to hit, they all floaty and stuff. And I know you hate fire, so i couldnt burn them" Kurai then saw one of the balloons float off his face
"I bet you would burn. Burn nicely..." Kurai threatened the balloon. As if responding the Tomoro popped the one right in front of him, nearly making him jump from the sudden sound.
Kurai stared at the thorn that she threw on the ground near him. He looked at it and then picked it up.
the wrong way.
"OW!" Kurai cried out.
"the heck you trying to kill me!?" Kurai pouted angrily. Kurai was not too familiar with nature even though he grew in the country. Apparently his sense of objects didn't go too well either. Regardless Kurai managed to pull the thorn out of his finger and began defending himself with it.
Footsteps was heard approaching the room.
"... I don't like the sound of that Tomoro. Could be a teacher. If they see that we popped all their decorations they won't be happy..." Kurai then nodded at Tomoro. "Ok, let's try to get out of this house now.."
Kurai then walked over to the nearest exit and opened his way out.
"THIS SHOULD BE THE EXIT!" Kurai cried out and swung the door open....

In front of them was a hallway. A really, really, REALLY long hallway. In fact, Tomoro couldn't even see the exit at the end; everything faded into pure darkness. She closed her remaining eye and listened around her... something was definitely moving down there. What it was, she had no clue. The hallway was lined with dim lights which allowed for some easiness to mobility, but other than that the walls were practically bare except for a painting or mirror here and there.
"Well... we have no other exit... the best thing to do is to keep walking until we at least find some sort of clue..." she said, staring ahead. But what could they do? If there wasn't a door at the end of this hallway, would the two die from starvation and dehydration? Was there something ominous lurking down there?
"Either... you take the lead... or guard in the back... it's your choice. You can... use your fire if you take the lead, but if you do then you must make sure that you do not smoke up the hallway, or I will collapse. Are you capable of this?" she claimed, raising her eyebrows thoughtfully. I honestly have no choice... I'm getting tired myself from using my powers repeatedly...

"come on seriously?" Kurai smirked and then cupped his hands upward and in front of Tomoro's face.
"Boo" Kurai whispered then ignited a flame just above the palm of his hand. "fire feeds off air. No matter what you do it will take away the air you breathe." Kurai then gave off a rather creepy grin. "You gotta have strong lungs to be a fire user. but no worries, the gas that this fire emits is odorless. It's just as dangerous as any other fire take away your air but at least it's less painful to hang around" Kurai then trailed his eyes towards Tomoro's chest area. Almost forgetting his manners as how to treat a lady, his eyes quickly pulled back and then towards his flame.
maybe you should work on your lungs Kurai thought to himself. Kurai not really wanting to see Tomoro's reaction began walking down the hall. "I'll take the lead. Just make sure you stay close behind, this flame won't emit that big of radius of sight."
Kurai walked down the hall, the strange red carpet seemed to zig zag about. "huh, strange decorations" Kurai muttered to himself and continued down.
...
"no exit.." Kurai muttered annoyed. It seemed like the two have been going on for at least 3 minutes with no exit at sight. But that wasn't what was bothering Kurai the most. It seemed the zig zags on the carpert got smaller and smaller, and the walls seemed to be closing in on them.
"something is very very wrong here.."

Tomoro remained excessively silent as Kurai explained all about his flames. She did not have strong lungs, nor an extremely strong body, and she knew that. It wasn't her fault that she grew up tall, thin, and dainty. However, she was for no reason extremely weak either. She'd show him sometime... she could just bind him up right now and rip him to threads with her thorns if he wasn't looking...
Tomoro shook her head quickly. She had to get these visions out of her head quickly, or they would envelop her. It must have been the dark room that was getting to her.
"...really?" Tomoro said, cocking her head to the side as Kurai grew annoyed. "I don't see any difference at all..." she said as she looked down at the ground. In her line of vision, the zig zags were exactly the same as they were when she started walking. Maybe it was an illusion designed to trick them...? but then why couldn't she see it? It was quite strange.
It was then that Tomoro spotted a shadow that was not their just ahead. She motioned for Kurai to stop, and took one step forward.
"Show yourself!" She called into the darkness, not sure what exactly it was that was out there... what appeared forward was possibly the most grotesque thing she had ever seen in her life.
Out stepped an extremely scantily clad woman in tights and a top which showed off her curves. Her... curves... however, weren't really curves. They were rolls. Rolls and rolls and rolls. Rolls that you could put butter on and then you'd have to grab even more butter to cover all the rolls. Tomoro's eye widened as her glance went up... the woman was practically a G cup, and it didn't stop there. She had close to what looked like three chins, and a nasty mole with a hair in it sticking out close to her mouth. The only redeeming feature that Tomoro found was her hair, which was quite smooth and bouncy. Other than that though, the sight was horrifying.
"Soooooooo you two little looooooovebirds managed to get stuck in thiiiiiiis room, didja?" she said, staring directly at Kurai and shaking her flabby hips back and forth. "How about you take a big bite out of this, boy?" She claimed, winking and motioning Kurai to come forward. Tomoro was too stunned to speak. In fact, she was pretty sure that Kurai wouldn't be able to do anything but stare for a while either.

((Changed it to Vanity Room. sweatdrop Don't mind me, I'll just huddled over here in my shame...))
Alex smiled at her disbelief. "Yeah, this place is cool. We didn't have anything like this back home." He continued his inspection of the room until he concluded he was terrible at finding things. He looked over at her as she commented on the likelihood of the person who lived in the room.
"You never know, do you?" Alex was fascinated with this kind of thing, because he had a sheltered childhood to recall. It was novel and certainly more interesting than his life at home. He didn't have doubts about the supernatural to make him afraid. It would have been better for him if he did. Those who know to fear fire, do not get burned.
He turned his head her way again, hearing that she had found something. She waved a bunch of what looked to be carnival tickets towards him, then her head rose up, Her eyes rose to the vanity mirror, then glazed over. He smirked, rolling his eyes. "Trying to scare me?" He crossed his arms. "It's not going to work." He stared at her for a moment.
His confidence faded away. "C'mon, this isn't cool, Kira." He hoped the use of her name would make her drop the act and laugh it off or something. But the longer she stood, with her eyes vacant made him increasingly uncomfortable. He shook her by the shoulders. "Kira, stop this! You're freaking me out!"
Unable to rouse her, he slung his staff from his back and swung it like a baseball bat at the mirror that entranced her. In that moment, as the glass flew back at the two of them, Alex dropped the staff, and done something he had never done before. He flung out a hand towards the glass and his green, glittery mist surrounded his hands, and a higher part of his mind directed his actions as he swept his hands from their spacing about two feet across and brought them together.
As he did, the mist that would usually go with his hands lingered in the air in a thin wall between the vanity and Alex and Kira. The force field caught the glass flying at their faces like a net, stopping the projectiles and catching them. Glass bounced harmlessly off the rest of their bodies as Alex spun Kira to face away from the broken mirror. "Kira, it's me Alex. Please, look at me." Even as he pleaded with her to return to her consciousness, Alex realized he had never been able to affect matter, other than his staff, which had a connection to him, with his magic.
((So begins the progression of Alex's powers! In case you were wondering, the necessity of the situation bred the new ability.))

Kira... wasn't really sure what had happened. One second she'd been holding up a prize, the next she'd stared into the mirror, and then... visions. Images that usually only haunted her dreams were displaying in the mirror, and instead of leaning back, she simply felt herself leaning closer. She was focused only on them, and to her, her eyes felt wide. But in reality, they had glazed over, unfocused and sunken to a half open position. Her fingers were pressed to the vanity's edge, gripping at it quietly, her lips parted just slightly, moving to form silent little words.
It started with a man. A man laying upon the ground, staring up at her in horror, then agony. She could taste it, the metallic, warm liquid flooding her mouth as she crouched over him, the smirk on her lips as she licked them slowly clean. Her fingers were coated in it, palms smeared red. The man thrashed and gurgled on his own blood, and then lay still, face still painted with his fear and pain. She could feel the puddle seeping around him, staining her skin as she lingered at his side, tense and waiting. Then, the figure shifted, shrinking, and became a little girl. She was sobbing, crying out for help, but none came. Soon, she too exhaled a trembling, dying breath.
And Kira just stood, gazing helplessly into the mirror.
The little girl's body lengthened, growing longer, older, becoming one of the women from the pin-up posters. The face began to rip, tearing away. It was her hand that was tearing it. Kira's, ripping her apart.
Then, it shattered. Jagged cracks cut their way through her features, and then burst, exploding into little pieces that flew at her, trying to claim their revenge. But an odd, fuzzy green light blocked it, protecting her.
Finally, her eyes had widened. They were still glazed and unseeing, but wide. And as Alex shouted and begged, her ears twitched upon her head, she blinked rapidly several times, and then slowly her head turned toward him. She was trembling, and her lips parted to speak, but all that slipped out was a pitiful little whimper. Then she glanced down toward her hands, turning them over, rubbing frantically at blood that wasn't really there.

Alex didn't think any of this was cool anymore. He was no longer having fun. Now he was just scared. Not for himself, he wasn't afraid of any mortal danger, thanks to his magic's new ability. He was afraid for Kira. Whatever this room had done to her, it wasn't easily reversed. But he couldn't abandon her to fight this thing alone.
He despaired when he saw the hurt and fearful look in her eyes as she looked blankly at him and tried to speak but could only whimper meekly. He wrapped his arms around her, not out of a romantic desire to save her, but from pity for the immense burden of emotion she carried. His eyes narrowed as he looked around the room. "What did you do to her?!" he screamed, his voice hoarse with emotion. He didn't even know if there was anyone to hear him, but he felt someone should pay for this atrocity.
He watched her panic and rub at her hands, as if trying to wipe away some unseen contaminant. He grabbed at her wrists before she could rub away the skin on her hands and looked into her eyes. "Kira," he pleaded again. "Listen to me. You are not where you think you are, you are in a haunted house with me. Remember me? Alex? I can do magic and I made you a rose with it for you. Remember that?" he asked, his hope undaunting. He'd never dealt with anything like this, but he had a feeling it had to do with whatever Kira was blaming herself and hating her powers for.
"What you're seeing isn't real," he told her, unsure of whether that statement was true or not. He reasoned that even if it wasn't, he had to give her something to believe in, something for her sanity to hold on to or she might never be the same person again. "Fight it!" he begged her. "Fight this thing that's terrorizing you! Fight it, or you'll never get away from it. It will haunt your nights and never give you a moment's peace. You can beat this phantom, I know you can!" He settled her down onto the floor, sweeping away the glass and taking off his robe to make a pillow for her.
The floor was cold, but maybe that would help bring her around. "Kira," he pleaded yet again. "Please, just...just snap out of it..." Out of despair for her, he felt a lone tear in his eye and he looked at her through it. "You poor thing. What's happened to you?" he asked her. "What horrors have you lived through, that I in my ignorance have worsened?"

Kurai glided his fingers over the sides of the wall next to him. "You don't see it? these freakin walls are closing in on us..." Kurai said his voice showing some signs of annoyance.
"we gotta find this exit soon..." Kurai then continued walking on but then was stopped when Tomoro tugged on his shirt. "?? whats up girl..." Kurai responded to the tugs. He couldn't see Tomoro's expression for her only eye was on the other side of her face. But her lips formed a stern expression, her forehead scrunched as if she was trying to focus on something.
"Oh my---" A sudden lurching feeling shot up Kurai's stomach as he observed the horror in front of him. Kurai's flame seemed to react in a similar manner as it sparked about in an unstable manner. It was almost as if the flame was trying very hard to create a mouth to barf.
As the large succubus tried to sway her hips, it struck the sides of the walls next to her, shaking the walls.
"D... D... GAAAHH!" Kurai was unable to form any words. "too speechless to see a beauty like me?" The succubus responded to Kurai's words and then bended forward (or at least tried to) blowing a kiss over at Kurai.
"... BURN DEMON!" Kurai yelled out and without hesitating, leapt up in front of Tomoro and threw a punch forward letting out a burst of flame. the flame seemingly encircled from his punch and flew forward towards the Succubus.
The Succubus not being the quite nimble creature she is got struck by the flame head on and was shoved backwards. all the fat jiggling as she stumbled backwards, it was a wonder how she maintained her balance. The succubus was now breathing heavy, as if just walking backwards was a huge task for her. She patted at the area she got struck and slowly pulled herself back up.
"hoo-hoo your a spicy one, just the way I loooooveee them!" She said tauntingly.
"BURN!" Kurai yelled out again and threw another punch forward. Striking her back again. However the Succubus only seemed to be pushed backwards and not being burned in any way. The flames just seem to seep and die around the succubus's skin.
"... her skin must be so fat she developed some kind of flame armor.." Kurai said in a very annoyed voice. "like you know... whale fat."
